I was eighteen, dating a twenty-eight year old. He literally told me that he waited until I reached legal age before asking me out, and asking my mother’s permission to ask me out.I was also working with a full course load in high school, and going to night school four nights a week to make up credits (I had been very sick for two years and wanted to graduate within a reasonable amount of time), and living with my grandmother who raised me.My boyfriend was a very controlling fellow. He would show up at my front door half an hour after I got out of school and either walk me to the train (that I took to night school) on his way to work, or stay until almost eleven pm because that was his night off. Then he’d show up on Saturday and Sunday mornings and occupy damn near every waking moment I had. I basically did my homework on the train, and during my lunch breaks at school.My grandmother was already sliding into dementia, and had grown up in the 1920’s so overbearing men were her norm (my grandfather was the exception), and my mother who lived upstairs (told me later that she) believed I should “make my own mistakes”, so there was literally nobody to put an end to this. I was uncomfortable, but I was also sheltered and fairly clueless about relationships so what did I know?Then he did what I considered to be the rudest thing on earth. I called my grandmother while on a break between classes, and he picked up the phone halfway through the first ring. He had his ass parked on my grandmother’s couch and picked up her phone without so much as asking her permission. Even now, near a quarter century later, I cannot and will not touch another person’s house or cell phone without their express permission because in my book that’s the height of rudeness.I was gobsmacked, and that was the final straw. He was clingy, demanding, and a firm believer in keeping a woman barefoot and pregnant; but now I knew he also had zero respect or common sense. So when I got home that night I told my grandmother the truth. Ex was too clingy and controlling and I didn’t want to be with him any more. What should I do?It wasn’t three days later that I broke up with him. It took several weeks, and more than one encounter with my friends and I telling him to back off/get lost before he stopped lurking around the neighborhood looking for me, but it really ended the night I called to check on my grandmother and he answered the phone.

Yes, there is a way for you to graduate early, I actually graduated early myself and I live in Ontario. Although graduating early is a good way to get ahead of your friends, make sure to consider the circumstances such as: you’ll be the only one amongst your friends in college, you’ll probably be the youngest one in your program, and college/university may be even more difficult for you because you graduated early. Now let’s say you’ve already thought that whole part through. The numerous courses you will need to take is going to be stressful.In grade 9 you are obligated to take 6 compulsory courses and you will be able to pick 2 electives. It may be different for some schools but I needed a gym and art credit in order to graduate. So as one of my electives I took art and the other I took business. You would then need to choose your courses, this time in grade 10 you need to take 6 compulsory courses and 2 electives. Try to use those 2 electives as grade 11 courses. After grade 9 you have a chance to do summer school in class or online. I choose online and took history. However, you are able to take any grade 10 course in class, such as math, English, science, etc. After taking summer school you would gain an extra elective, this is where you would choose a grade 11 course in substitution for that elective. I would suggest doing the “harder” courses just to get it over with or doing a course that is compulsory for grade 11 such as English or math. With the 3 electives I had I decided to choose grade 10 French (academic), Grade 11 English university, and grade 11 French University. Remember, when choosing your electives you need to have the prerequisite before taking the course. I did grade 11 English but did history in the summer. To gain the prerequisite I had to take grade 10 English first semester then take grade 11 the next. Although your guidance consular may tell you not to do this it shouldn’t matter, because if you really want to they can’t stop you. By the start of grade 10, you should have 9 credits.Grade 10 is where it gets a bit more difficult because rather than taking your normal 4 courses each semester you would need to take 5 courses per semester. The 5th course would occupy as your night school credit. When doing night school most schools only allow for grade 11 and 12 courses so choose wisely. Second semester you would need to do the same thing (take night school once again). My night school courses were first-semester grade 12 international business and second-semester grade 11 university math. Taking night school you still need the prerequisite for the course so make sure pick a course either that you have the prerequisites for already or one that does not have a prerequisite. When picking night school courses I suggest not taking any open credits because if your planning on getting early acceptance you need a minimum 6 grade 11 courses that are University or Mixed. I suggest using Math grade 11 and English grade 11 to accommodate for your night school courses or electives because those are 2 out of the 3 compulsory courses you need for grade 11. When picking your grade 11 courses do the fun grade 12 courses you want because in grade 11 this would be your last year. Take courses that will bring your mark up and be counted towards your top 6 for acceptance. You have to take 3 compulsory courses, English, Math, Religion (if you’re in a Catholic in school). Since Math and English are done that leaves you with 7 electives and the compulsory course. But, you also need to take into account your grade 12 year, are there any courses you need that are compulsory for grade 12, if so then you need to take it in grade 11. For example, religion and English were compulsory courses in grade 9–12 because it's a Catholic school so, I had 6 electives rather than 7 because I needed to take religion. In the summer of grade 10, you need to take another summer school course online or in class. This one is totally up to you. I would try to pick the grade 12 course that works coherently with the grade 11 course you took in night school or day school. For example, I took English grade 11 so in the summer I did English grade 12 online. By the start of grade 11, you should have accumulated 20 courses in total.In grade 11 you would take all your courses and you would need to do night school once again for both semesters. By the end of grade 11, you should have your 30 credits that you need to graduate.After grade 11 hopefully, you fulfilled all your course requirements and in the end you are able to Graduate. If you are unable to take night school you can always take extra credits using online courses such as the ILC but as an Ontario resident, you need to pay $40. You can also do 2 courses in summer school in certain school boards.Congratulations you Graduated and it was a year early!

First, keep in mind there are two levels of management degrees to consider:First is the traditional business undergraduate degree.I have mixed feeling about these, but in most cases you will start at a entry-level supervisor role and work your way up an organizations org chart.Generally, if you graduate from a well-known school (Harvard) then you will have an easier time getting your foot in the door in a management-track role.However, another person who may greatly benefit from this degree is the worker who is going to school part-time to earn a degree. They would have industry experience, and might already be in a supervisor-role.The second angle is the MBA.A few get one immediately after the complete their four-year program. Bill George (former CEO of Medtronic) earned his MBA after completing his Industrial Engineering degree, and was leading a division by age 28 (I went to school part-time and just completed my degree by the same age).Other earn their MBA by going “night school” after working a number of years.Just keep in mind that graduate credits are more expensive than undergrad, so expect to pay $30,000 to get an MBA with an average state school in a night-course environment.Again, in a large corporation it would help put you on a management track. In a smaller company you have to essentially move to another company. But it will make you more “marketable.”
