Warning- Long answer ahead!!Writing my heart out, no intention to offend anyone.My background: Just an above average guy in school, who has no other talent, we just have to study and chill. No achievements till 93.2% in 10th boards. Parents are doctors, actually there are many doctors in my family.I live in Indore, MP. During my 10th, I was sure I will prepare for NEET, but there was a confusion among AAKASH OR ALLEN. I picked up Aakash, totally satisfied with my choice ( though the management was really annoying sometimes😅).Classes began, first few tests are always the easy ones, managed to get in top 3 ranks in the centre. Then, just trying little bit harder everyday, improving from last test, clearing doubts, understanding concepts, I managed to get 2nd in every test for 4–5 months (that was really really annoying😅😅). First time I came 1st in centre, I scored 675 and the 2nd student was about 90 marks behind. I believe that was the turning point in my preparation.Then came time for AIATS, which starts around October, one test every month. Everyone knows the difficulty level of AIATS, especially physics. I solved HCV, Engineering modules of aakash (which are harder than medical modules), many worksheets, and too much other stuff. I gave the test, got 615 (AIR 101). Didn’t make it to top 100 in first 3 AIATS and then there was no turning point. Best rank in 11th class AIATS was 24. 11th was a bit difficult for me, getting used to study long hours, sacrificing all hobbies, getting sick a day before KVPY ( ended up skipping KVPY), managing school, getting 2nd for months was another kind of worry…..Then 12th session began after a month gap. Best thing was same teachers as in last batch!!! Now I was a different kind of person, completing 1st FT test (which is of 360 marks) in 30min. Then scoring 355/360 in 4 consecutive FTs (these things really annoy me, when will I break the trend…..). AIATS in 12th begins in July, I prepared really hard for it, solving every damn thing I get hands on, reading every line from modules, previous AIATS papers. Scored 686 in 1st AIATS, expecting rank under 10, but here’s a twist ( just like something happened in NEET 2020). I got rank 43, really shocked, as students in those times used to top at these marks. NEET 19 paper was much easier than NEET 18, AIATS paper level was changed according to that and hence, rank inflation.Next test, preparing for that damn easy test, to my surprise, I scored 705/720. I was like, 705 in AIATS, I will definitely go to AIIMS Delhi, jumping around the campus, everyone looking at me, congratulating. Got an AIR 8 ( that was a bit disappointing too😒). That was 2nd turning point in my preparation.Then I cracked KVPY SX stage 1, NSEB, missed NSEC by 3–4 marks. Scoring 690 above in every AIATS, top score in offline AIATS was 710, top 10 ranks 3 times- 8,8,10.Dec-Jan period was very difficult for me, as school practical exams were approaching. Just writing in that damn practical book, making projects, learning and performing all practicals, broke me from my usual studies for tests in Aakash. Somehow that period passed. In Feb, I was encountered with INBO, KVPY SX interview, and board exams. From Feb I started daily solving of full-length papers for NEET. Even during boards, I kept on studying for NEET, giving only 2–3 days for each subject. Got decent marks in boards (92.8%). Feb-March was the best period for my studies as there was no crowd in coaching centre, usually got a quiet place to study, teachers were relatively free, gave time for doubts and improving my marks in tests.Then the country went in lockdown. First I thought, it’s for only a few days or weeks. Then our final test series for NEET, AIATS and intensive program tests for top students was taken online. April went fine, scored 715 two times, one in an AIATS!!! That was a different kind of joy. 2 tests a day kept me quite busy all day. In may, ARBTS was introduced with a test in 4 days. Initial ARBTS were not good with all questions asked from previous year’s AIATS papers, I solved all those papers so, I knew most answers already. This made me lose interest in studies ( a test in 4 days that too copied from papers I already solved). I started watching news, about covid, vaccine and all, spending time on youtube. Late May, NTA announced app, which will provide regular tests.Started solving them, 1st test was a bouncer, 30 questions out of ncert in bio, 10 unseen facts ( even when I studied all modules, notes, some truemans). And after test, we get detailed explanation of every question. Those things were tooooo much, I thought NEET will be hard this year, after merging AIIMS and JIPMER with it. Teachers told me to read all information. That info was like explaining a bone in detail, blood supply, articulations, etc. I knew this is mbbs stuff. Paper took 3 hrs, analysis took 6 hrs. All day passed in a damn test. This continued till June, I got sick, took a break for a week. Then there was incident of SSR committing suicide, got to know what are symptoms of depression, I could relate to it. Talked with my parents, (who are docs) started anti-depression medication. NEET was scheduled on July 26. I was very scared, sometimes I couldn’t sleep whole night, sometimes I sleep 12 hrs a day, how will I give NEET?? I even tweeted for postponement of NEET.It got postponed to Sept 13. I was pumped up and charged at beginning, but I studied even less in July and slowly improved in August and Sept. But now I wanted this period to get over, I couldn’t study same syllabus repeatedly anymore. Unfortunately, some imp topics were left even on last day. I first thought I won’t study on the last day, but I had to, even on NEET day, I studied. I didn’t sleep well on NEET day, thoughts coming up randomly in my head, they just won’t let me sleep. 5 hrs sleep I took on NEET day.AND I MESSED UP MY PAPER. scoring 670 in a paper in which I easily could’ve scored 705. I have scored 700+ over a dozen times and those tests were much more difficult than this paper. Last 2–3 days of my preparation messed up everything. I thought I could get a rank around 300 as difficulty was more or less similar to last year paper. In my preparation, I was sure I will get AIIMS Delhi or MAMC. Never thought of even VMMC or UCMS and 2012 AIIMSs were out of question. Then I spent time on quora, discovered that 2012 AIIMS are much better than most state colleges.Parents and some relatives motivated me to let go of this and my mother told me the reality that IN MBBS COLLEGE DOESN’T MATTER MUCH. Failures come and go but we have to keep moving. Between NEET and result I watched Netflix, prime video, did gaming( AC odyssey, detroit, gta 5, etc games I wanted to play for a long time) really enjoyed the time.Result day: Just as exam, result also got postponed 4 days to 16 oct, and the site won’t open, that’s normal I guess. Result released at around 4pm and my result opened at 9pm. Eyes opened wide in shock, AIR1201….. But I let that go, I said to myself, “ It’s fine, I can get an AIIMS”.Researched for colleges on quora, my parents and relatives have many contacts with doctors around India, took their views on college and location, bond, food, language and all. Finally we came to conclusion, Delhi college or AIIMS.Same as exam, result, counselling registration, 1st round results got delayed. I got AIIMS Rishikesh, I was very happy with its allotment. Went to Rishikesh, saw the college, campus, hostels, had lunch in mess. Really satisfied with natural beauty of Rishikesh, Ganga just in front of college, excellent infrastructure, no bond. I think it is worth leaving state colleges for AIIMS. At the end, I might not be happy with exam performance and result, I am really happy with AIIMS Rishikesh, I am satisfied.Login • Instagram These pics are amazing, so is the campus!! Reference: aiims_in_frames instagram page.At last, things to know from my story for future aspirants:Everyone and anyone can easily crack NEET and get into very good college, no matter what was your past. You just need a good ambience, dedication, never give up attitude, willingness to learn (remember 3 idiots scene when Rancho tries to teach, that kind of attitude is needed).If you think you are going into depression speak out, cry when alone, don’t overthink, if needed go see a doctor, there’s no shame in that.Always try to work harder, improve scores from last test. Downs are welcome, accept them and work hard again. Once I got 641 after 695 in an AIATS and in next test I scored 696.Work hard enough, even if you mess up the paper, you don’t have to take a drop or take admission in much worse medical college than you expected.Clear your doubts everyday, don’t pile them up. Talk with your teachers, they’ll guide you to the best way possible to prepare. Best way isn’t the easiest, prepare and brace for struggle and tough days.Pay attention to every small thing in bio NCERT. Read all chapters of physics and chemistry NCERTs as well. They have information which isn’t given in coaching modules, may be asked in NEET. NCERT is the sole book you have to study.Solve exemplar of all subjects. You can leave difficult physics problems, learn their result or formula, if possible. Bio exemplar has out of ncert questions and some questions asks you to research. Like ascocarp name based on shape and it’s examples.Please pay attention in your online classes, once a concept is missed, it is missed. Concepts should be clear, apply concepts in every question, every option of the question, question yourself, if this is the answer, why not others?? Don’t miss tests or make excuses ,you have to be dedicated.Solve many full-length NEET based test papers when you are completed with your syllabus. If you can solve HCV, N Avasthi, other reference book go for it with ONLY 1 BOOK PER SUBJECT, and master that book, it will improve your concepts. No need to run after many books, a reference book, ncert, exemplar, coaching modules are more than enough.Your NEET preparation journey is your journey, none of other’s journey. Every one is different, prepare in way that suits you, don’t blindly follow others, including me.PLEASE TAKE BREAKS FROM STUDIES. Take 1 day break every month, not studying anything, watching movies, playing games, anything you like. I didn’t took a day off from April 2018 to mid June 2020. My mind got saturated, lost my interest in studies. Don’t study a day before major tests. In AIATS too, I studied in the class until the invigilator asked me to close the books. Take a break, when you feel saturated.Distractions should be eliminated, or should be given minimal time. I left Fb, insta, gaming, movies, in my preparation. Just don’t waste time, you should feel guilty when you waste even seconds on useless stuff. I’m not talking about breaks, and don’t extend breaks, like 5 min more,10 min more, one more song, one more video.All the best!!Peace✌️

There is plenty of evidence to say that the US were prepared to send a fleet to the South Atlantic from the declassified files of the US Government BOTH WOULD HAVE HINDERED NOT HELPED THE BRITISH GETTING ON WITH THE WINNING OF THE WAR. As we discussed last night,3 I think it makes much more sense to focus on the near-term question of terminating the conflict in such a way to avoid the complete humiliation of the Argentines. Thus, even if you buy off on the total package I think in your discussions with the British, you should only focus on near-term steps.This said, we must be aware that the attached proposal makes some major assumptions about British behavior:—It assumes that the British will be willing to reach an agreement along the lines sketched out in the proposal “short of surrender.”—It assumes that the British would be willing almost immediately to allow U.S. and Brazilian forces to organize the evacuation of Argentine prisoners, thus denying the British the use of these prisoners in follow-on negotiations. (It goes without saying that prisoners have become a standard form of negotiating capital in modern conflicts, e.g., Viet Nam, Indo-Pakistani conflict, Egypt-Israel.)[Page 639]—It assumes that the British, in hours following the end of the fighting, would be willing to announce a total military withdrawal within two months.—It assumes that the British, within two months, would be willing to turn over executive authority to the U.S. and Brazil and to announce this soon after a ceasefire.—Finally, it assumes that the British would permit the creation of a contact group without British participation.One last note, in the event that no final solution to the problem is reached, the contact group would administer the Islands indefinitely, along with the U.S. and Brazilian peace-keeping forces. Are we willing to take on such an open-ended commitment, particularly if, as seems likely, we would find ourselves constantly at odds with the Kelper-dominated councils? Enders also added two observations: “(a) We don’t want to participate if we do only the military part (i.e. let ICRC handle repatriation, which would be politically damaging to us). Given the unavoidable visibility associated with that movement of aircraft carriers, however, the political messages would be sent almost immediately. Of necessity, those signals would be seen by all three audiences—the British, the Soviets, and Argentines—but it is unlikely that we would want to use the naval instrument of policy at the same time for our three different purposes.DOD believes that two carrier task groups would be required to achieve the capability for 24-hour, sustained operations in the area. Two CVBGs are currently operating off Puerto Rico as part of the Ocean Venture naval exercise. The upcoming winter weather in the South Atlantic will be severe and debilitating.
