The Booth Level Officer for your area shall visit you at the residence that you have given and will do the following:i) Confirm that you actually reside at the address mentioned by you in Form-6.ii) Verify your photograph with you in person.iii) Obtain your signature to the down loaded application of your application Form 6, (which the BLO will bring with him.)iv) Take the proof of residence from you (in case you have not uploaded it)v) Take the proof of age from you (in case you are between 18 and 21 years of age and have not uploaded it).

They would still have to meet the normal registration requirements for their state, namely, by providing proof of residency and proof of identification in the form of a state ID like a driver’s license or their Social Security number. Different states have different requirements for what constitutes proof of residency, how many examples they want and how long you must have lived in a state (usually 30 days), and it’s up to new voters to learn what those are before they register.Once the person does same-day registration (something not every state allows), they would fill out a provisional (i.e. conditional) ballot. Their registration would then be processed and checked to ensure that it was accurate, and then, once that was confirmed, their provisional ballot would be counted. If for whatever reason their registration was voided — e.g. they hadn’t lived in the state for 30 days or didn’t provide accurate or sufficient proof of residency — then their provisional ballot would in turn be voided.

First, be aware that if you take Japanese citizenship you have to give up citizenship to your own country. These include: Your marriage certificate, birth certificates for children, your spouse's ward registration form (koseki touhon) and ID papers (mibun shoumeisho), police records, death certificates, and your own ward registration formSubmit all that paperwork and wait. If you qualify, it's time for more paperwork.Naturalization Permission Application FormAlong with the application, you have to fill out a sheet outlining your immediate family overseasA list of all your addresses since birthWard registration forms for all members of your Japanese familyProof of residence for your spouseYour gaijin card and a history of where you've lived the past five years in JapanAn outline of your livelihoodProof of employmentProof of incomeTax records for your family and businessRecords showing your land ownership and house ownershipPhotos of your family, home, and workplaceSubmit all that and wait. This can take anywhere from a few months to a few years.
