PDF Editor FAQ

For those who worship the Abrahamic god, how do you define his nature?

Both Christians and Jews worship the Abrahamic God. According to the Bible both Old and New Testaments, and also according to our own experience with Him, God’s nature is holy, good, loving, comforting, faithful, worthy. He provides because He has the heart of supreme Giver. He serves because He has the heart of loving server. He is just, trustworthy, unchanging, powerful, wise King. He is Creator, He is the Holy Word spoken into the hearts of believers. He is Sustainer, Life Breath. His nature is divine in a way that no other spirit or person can compare. Here are some names assigned to Him in the Bible that are actually descriptors of God’s nature. Because He is unchanging God, both the Christian and the Jewish names are talking about the same God. In the below Christian category, YHWH, his ‘name’, is hyphenated with attributes which are part of His nature.Names of God in Christianity. YHWHYHWH-Yireh — "The Lord will provide" (Genesis 22:13-14) Also see YHWH-Jireh (Yireh) PROVIDERYHWH-Rapha — "The Lord that healeth" (Exodus 15:26) HEALERYHWH-Shalom — "The Lord our Peace" (Judges 6:24) HE IS PEACE & PEACE GIVERYHWH-Ra-ah "The Lord is the Way, my Shepherd" (Psalm 23:1) SHEPHERDEmmanuel—”God with us” Matthew 1:23 King James Bible. Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.Shekhinah (שכינה (help·info)‬) is the presence or manifestation of God which has descended to "dwell" among humanity. This word is not in the Hebrew Bible but was used by later rabbis to describe his presence among us. (In today’s Christianity the term Shekhinah Glory is referring to when His glorious presence falls upon us, often in times of holy worship. “He is present in the praises/thanks of His people” or as it is in Scripture, “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” (Psalm 22:3Names of God in JudaismElohim ("Strong One" or "Lord Almighty") POWERFULAdonai ("My Lord" and origin of the Greek name Adonis) LORDEhyeh-Asher-Ehyeh ("I am that I am") ETERNAL EXISTENCE ( Note: the verb form ehyeh can be translated as "I am/I am being/I will be" (e.g. Exodus 3:12, "Certainly I will be [ehyeh] with thee.").[58]Me Ishi (My HUSBAND) ("It will come about in that day," declares the Lord, "That you will call Me Ishi[n 6] And will no longer call Me Baali."[57] This ‘Husband’ descriptor has nothing to do with sex. Although He has personhood, He doesn’t have a gender. Also, because of His personhood, we don’t want to call Him an “It” as if He were some kind of an object. Those who call God a ‘she’, in my opinion, just don’t get it.YHWH DIVINE NAME OF GODShaddai ("Almighty" According to Exodus 6:2, 3, Shaddai was the name by which God was known to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.) ALMIGHTYZebaot ("Heavenly Host") the sovereign attribute of God in the combination of YHWH Zebaot . HIS HEAVENLY HOST (of armies, supporters to carry out his will. From this we might assign to God the title KING. See King of kings and Lord of lords https://biblehub.com/revelation/19-16.htm. Why is the declaration, “I am Jehovah” repeated 137 times in the Bible?

Jehovah wants everyone to know his name.“May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth.” (Ps 83:18)Knowing the One true God means life. (Jo 17:3) Since Jehovah wants all to live (2 Pet 3:9), He takes steps to make sure that His name is known. And I will certainly magnify myself and sanctify myself and make myself known before the eyes of many nations; and they will have to know that I am Jehovah.’ (Ez 38:23)However, he doesn’t what his glory, honor, or worship to go to anyone or anything else.I am Jehovah. That is my name; I give my glory to no one else, Nor my praise to graven images. (Isa 42:8)The Devil is a title meaning slanderer, someone who defames someone through lies and untruths.Slander: the utterance of false charges or misrepresentations which defame and damage another's reputationThis describes Satan exactly, since he has defamed Jehovah’s name at every opportunity, treating the divine “name with disrespect.”How long, O God, will the adversary keep taunting? Will the enemy treat your name with disrespect forever? (Ps 74:10)Jehovah announces Himself in this way (I am Jehovah) in an effort to “magnify [Him]self and sanctify [Him]self and make [Him]self known.” (Ez 38:23)Being famous has many levels to it. First you are known for something that you do. Then you are praised for what you do. Then you are honored for how well you do. Then you are glorified for how long you do. Then you are idolized for how distinct you do. Similarly, these same levels apply to God when it comes to those that worship him. Here are 5 ways Jehovah wants his name to be glorified (Jo 12:28) and 5 ways Satan slandered God’s name.1 - Reputationto be widely knownJehovah wants His name to be known for the reputation he has built toward mankind.I will make my holy name known among my people Israel, and I will not allow my holy name to be profaned any longer; and the nations will have to know that I am Jehovah, the Holy One in Israel. (Ez 39:7)Satan slandered Jehovah’s reputation when he lied to Eve (Ge 3:4, 5) and the rest of mankind. (2 Th 2:9; 1 Ti 4:1; Jo 8:44)2 - Recognitionto acknowledge with a show of appreciationJehovah wants to be acknowledged for what He has done for mankind. For it is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says Jehovah, ‘to me every knee will bend, and every tongue will make open acknowledgment to God. (Ro 14:11)Satan slandered Jehovah’s recognition when he defamed Jehovah name (Ps 139:20) and manipulated Jehovah’s laws and mankind to remove the use of God’s divine name. (De 5:11)3 - Renowna state of being widely acclaimed and highly honored.Jehovah wants to be honored for the many achievements he has accomplish for mankind.saying: “Amen! Let the praise and the glory and the wisdom and the thanksgiving and the honor and the power and the strength be to our God forever and ever. (Re 7:12)Satan slandered Jehovah’s honor when he created philosophies that gave Jehovah’s achievements to some other source like “mother nature” or “evolution.” (Col 2:8)4 - Respecta feeling of deep admiration for someone elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements.Jehovah wants to be admired for the qualities He uses when dealing with mankind.Praise Jehovah, all you nations; Glorify him, all you peoples. For his loyal love toward us is great; The faithfulness of Jehovah endures forever. Praise Jah! (Psa 117:1, 2)Satan slandered Jehovah’s qualities and achievements by giving His glory to someone or something else. (Ro 1:25)5 - Reverencethe expression of gratitude as an act of glory or worshipJehovah wants to be glorified and worshipped for the position he holds above all creation. He was saying in a loud voice: “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of judgment by him has arrived, so worship the One who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and the springs of water. (Re 14:7)Satan slandered Jehovah’s reverence when he made himself a god taking away worship that is due Jehovah and giving it to himself. (Mt 4:8, 9; 1Co 10:20; 2 Co 4:4)Ultimately, none of Satan’s slanderous designs will work. God’s people will be made to know who he is. (Isa 43:7, 9-12) Jehovah has said He would make Himself known to those that love Him and His laws. And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am Jehovah. They will become my people, and I will become their God, for they will return to me with all their heart. (Jer 24:7)Does God Have a Name? (video)Who Is God, the Creator? What are some really good rap songs?

Thanks for the A2A, this is a tough question to answer. I'm going to answer it, but i need you to take this serious and check them out. I'm gonna kick it off with the illest verse that ever graced the ears of Hiphop:“’98 Freestyle” - Big L : this song appears on the album “The Big Picture”; which I'm sure everyone knows, but, if they don't, they need to know right now. I mean, right now!! Leave this page, do not continue on, GO!! It also can be found under the titles “’98 Freestyle, parts I & II” that contains a verse, and you can even find some versions with the full interview and everything from the Stretch Bobbito show. Whatever the case, get this, listen to it.“Chest 2 Chest Freestyle” - The Lox : this originally appeared on DJ Clue’s “Show Me the Money” mixtape from 1997. The song title appeared as simply “Freestlyle”, as most songs on DJ Clue tapes (a fact that would lead to much frustration as I moved to digital media), but I wrote “Chest 2 Chest” because that's how it most commonly appears, because in the beginning they say “L-O-X chest to chest, back to back, glock to glock, Mack to mack…” it is likewise simply titled “L.O.X. Freestyle” or even “Clue Freestyle”. Whatever the case it's basically a Freestyle on that “Next Level (Nyte Time Mix)” which is on Showbiz & AG’s album “Goodfellas”, which is a DJ Premier beat also. Anyway, Jada’s verse is so trill.“Envy” - Fat Joe : Samples Marvin Gaye’s hit “Sexual Healing”, and this song is my life, save a few minor details such as location, names, and titles. Other than that, it is me I plan to sue.“Can It Be All So Simple (remix)” - Raekwon : feat. Ghostface Killah, who just wrecked it. Went bonkers. The thing I always wondered too, is, how true the lyrics are because he really did get shot in the neck.“Everyday Struggle” - The Notorious B.I.G.“City Under Siege” - The Get Boys : third verse especially.“Gettin’ It” - Too Short : if you can't appreciate this song, this flow, you ain't Hiphop. Give it up. This is the best, trillest even positive record.“Oh My Darling” - Run the JewelsCocaine in the Back of the Ride” - UGK“Still a Nigga” - Eazy-E“Str8 Ballin” 2Pac“Nuthin But a ‘G’ Thang” - Dr. Dre : no one said this yet? What are you guys smoking? Not Chronic.“Regular Cat” - Memphis Bleek“All Money In” - Nipsey Hussle“Loves Gonna Get’cha” - Boogie Down Productions“Build & Destroy” - Boogie Down Productions“Rapper’s Delight” - Sugarhill Gang : if you like Hiphop, you like this song. I'm sorry. A lot of hiphoppas I know will not admit it, because they're “too cool” or whatever, but they're lying. They love this song.“Memory Lane” - Nas“One Time 4 Your Mind” - Nas“Give Up the Goods (Just Step)” - Mobb Deep“Can't Truss It” - Public Enemy“If I Get Locked Up Tonight” - Eminem : This is actually a Funkmaster Flex & Big Kap track came out on “The Tunnel”, but it features Eminem and Dr. Dre.“Fubba U Cubba Freestyle” - Eminem : this is a piece of a Freestyle, usually titled as it appears in my entry, and the first time I heard it was on DJ Greenlantern’s “Anger Management Tour Mixtape”, but I've seen it titled differently elsewhere. It was actually a Freestyle from a Tim Westwood show over the “Got It Twisted” by Mobb Deep beat, but there is actually a whole song where all D12 rips, and its dope, I recommend that version. Kuniva is one of the most underrated, Proof (RIP) was too. I think they're underrated because they rap with Em.“Desperadoes” - The Firm“Heat Wave” - Chris Rivers“Dreams & Nightmares (Intro)” - Meek Mill“Fuck Martinez” - 2 Live Crew :This is my last and final entry, it may be better to do albums next time, but these are some of the illest verses in Hiphop history, I know there are many more of equal caliber. The last entry, of course, was on Uncle Luke’s first solo album, but the also released it under 2 Live Crew with another album cover change; however, both are the same album, both titled “Banned in the U.S.A.” However, I put this on the list, even though it lacks the lyrical presence as the other songs because the history makes the song so ill, and so classic. This was the album they released in the famous Supreme Court case, requiring rappers to put the “Parental Advisory” stickers on the album covers. The story goes: Bob Martinez, Florida governor had Navarro (the album also features a song called “Fuck Navarro”) arrest 2 Live Crew related to the contents of their music, and tried to ban all of their music and shows from Florida. So, they dropped “Banned in the U.S.A.” which, of course features the above mentioned song, where it's a bass dance-club type record with Luke yelling, “Fuck Martinez, Fuck, Fuck, Marteen-ez” the whole song. It's epic. It just embodies the Hiphop message and Hiphop philosophy. I love listening to it, gives me a sense of sheer pleasure.
