PDF Editor FAQ

Has a spaceship ever been lost in space?

After NASA`s Apollo 10 mission, where they descended to about 50000 feet above the moon but didn`t try to land, the crew released the descent module - called `Snoopy` before they returned to Earth. Snoopy did not crash on the moon but went into a long orbit around the sun. It was `lost` for years, until 2019 when telescopes managed to find it and track its orbit. It`s still up in space today. Cool eh ?

Do naval aviators salute before taking off from land?

Crews have been saluting aviators since the dawn of military aviation. The loudest echoing explanation seems to hover around early pilot's short life expectancy in war and how ground crews were saluting to show respect on what may have been the last time they might see the pilots alive. The tradition continues to this day. Each time the last ground crew releases the aircraft for flight, there will be an exchange of salutes. On the carrier, that happens on the catapult, and is a neat way for the pilot to tell the shooter to get it on! At night, he just turns on the lights. On shore, it's the plane captain—who oversees the start and alignment process in the chocks, then directs the aircraft to taxi out—who usually gives the salute. This rarely happens at the end of the runway, but can if that's where the arming area is for forward-firing ordnance (if the pilots are heading out with bullets or missiles). Usually it's on the squadron's ramp. Most airshow-goers are familiar with the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds razor-sharp saluting demonstration. This extends to most airlines, as well, with the ground crew chief saluting the air crew, telling them everything is squared away and they are clear to taxi away (with the ramp or ground controllers' concurrence, of course).

How do BITSians feel when they go to Mood Indigo for the first time ? As compared to Oasis?

I went to Mood I in December 2007, after my 2-1. Me and some guys from BITS made a band, and we were competing at Livewire.Mood Indigo is HUGE- there are infinite sponsors, the turnout is fantastic, and the quality of judges, food, arrangements etc. is pretty killer as compared to Oasis. I must say, the Mood I crew leaves no stone unturned to make the fest the biggest in the country. However, the feel of Oasis is way more warm, exciting and different than Mood I. I say this mainly because all the events and competitions (except the prof shows) were done by 6-7 pm (even the food court closed by 7ish). The feeling of being in a fest which is over by dusk is really boring, atleast for a BITSian.I guess for an Oasis follower Mood Indigo will never be the no. 1 fest.EDITSo I went to Mood Indigo again this year (Dec. 2012), and trust me, the feeling of Oasis= the best fest got stronger. Other than the fest feel, I think the management at Oasis is way more structured and professional.Mood Indigo was disappointing on some aspects for a participant. For instance,- Security guards were harsh, unreasonable and loud (in marathi) to everyone- The first year kids at Mood I have no idea how to go about helping participants or managing stuff. A little more guidance by their seniors will be great.- The prize money has not been released yet (it's been more than 2 months now). Supposedly, the cash from sponsors starts flowing in after like a month or 2, and then the fest crew releases the prize money and other payments. I thought this is really unprofessional by IIT- Bombay, but then attending IIM- Ahmedabad's cult fest made me realize that that's the way it's done everywhere. I know how it works at Pilani, and Man, we do it better than anyone. Our prize money cheques are ready on Oasis' final day. How we do it is a long story, but it's an effort worth a mention.

View Our Customer Reviews

We (Sponsoo) compared DocuSign, HelloSign, Adobe Sign and CocoDoc and eventually decided for CocoDoc. CocoDoc convinced us with an easy-to-use interface and all the "ususal" features like drawing signatures with the mouse, type signatures in one of 4 handwriting fonts and uploading images of signatures (especially handy on a smartphone). We also liked the API solution, though all other providers offered that as well. What eventually convinced us was the price per document. Adobe Sign didn't even manage to give us a quote because the customer support couldn't handle our request.
