If it is a personal health issue on a site like this and the person answering is a legal physician then the law gets involved and consequences will possibly go very badly . A regular person has their 1st Amendment right of free speech to give some sort of advice . However when a physician gives some medical advice this can be viewed as practicing medicine without a good faith examination. This is especially true when someone say on Quora is saying they have something red or a lump and is asking what it is.Quora and sites like this must not be a place to get medical care in my opinion. Another nurse will be recording the code of all actions taken from times of events as intubation for airway and breathing, compressions for circulation , medications delivered, and more, all in efforts to have the rhythm of the heart again if cardiac to include defibrillation.—Respiratory Therapist and Radiology Tech as well as even an EKG tech will/may be present. There will be labs and blood gases as well as possible x-rays depending on the physicians call /order for need. There needs to be removal of secretions and monitor for abdominal distensions, and of course rhythm monitoring of the heart.—A “runner”(s) may be present to run labs back and forth, obtain blood or other requested items of need.—A pharmacist may be included at training or other hospitals to mix or get ready flowing the algorithm of the person running the code.—A chaplain will be around for support for patient and family and friends.This can vary depending on size of hospital, type of hospital, etc. Nurses (Seasoned and not will be involved, directly or indirectly ).
