What county is Lexington, Kentucky in?

“What county is Lexington, Kentucky in?Lexington is not only in Fayette County, Lexington is Fayette County. In 1974 the city and county governments were combined to form the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) and the city is now governed by a mayor and an Urban County Council.

How did Louisville, KY jump from being neck-and-neck with Lexington, KY in city population to having close to twice the population of Lexington?

While it's true that Louisville merged with Jefferson county government and significantly gained population doing so, Lexington also merged with Fayette county: Lexington Fayette Urban County Government /LFUCG. So why isn't Lexington just as big as Louisville? It's because the rural areas of Fayette County, unless the land has been grandfathered in, has a forty acre lot restriction. The goal of this restriction, along with allowing large landowners to sell their primary development rights (PDR) was to per the city council, “preserve the bluegrass.” What it has done is landlock Lexington and there are horse farms, and McMansions on forty acre lots if you drive out in the country in Fayette County, and old family homes (on grandfathered in small lots) that are getting sold and razed and having McMansions built on them. Lexington has built a lot of high rise condos downtown in an effort to balance this.

For many years I was a user of Corel VideoStudio, both of the Pro and the Ultimate versions. Although I was starting to feel dissatisfied with that video editor, I was reluctant to leave it because I did not want to go through the learning curve of a new product. Finally I decided I was too frustrated with their increasingly poor quality, even some crashes, and lack of compatibility with my latest iOS devices, despite the fact I'd pay money for every available update of the software. So I started looking into other products. I downloaded a trial version of Adobe, but it was too sophisticated for what I needed and too expensive, especially on the long run. Since I had some previous positive experience with other CocoDoc products, I decided to try Filmora. Well, that was a lucky move. Filmora is quite simple to operate, yet very powerful. In my impression it is far more stable than Corel's VideoStudio and it is definitely more affordable than Adobe's products. I also agree with other user's positive review on CocoDoc's techinical support. They do a very good job. In conclusion I recommend all their products for being 1) affordable, 2) simple yet powerful, and 3) with solid tech support. Gabe.
