Notarized Letter Of Authorization: Fill & Download for Free

When somebody applies for a visa to Saudi Arabia, part of the application requires indication of one's religion. It is the issued visa on the person's passport that is verified if stopped at the check point to entering the city of Mecca.In terms of how the Saudi government verifies a person's faith in the visa application, I believe if the applicant has an obviously Muslim name or is applying from a Muslim country, they assume one is Muslim. If the name is not obviously Muslim they will ask the applicant to provide a notarized letter from a Muslim authority (e.g. Imam of the local mosque) in that country testifying to the applicant's faith.

Several years ago I was interviewing someone for a technical management role. The gentleman was nice enough, but it was clear from the interview it wasn't a fit and so I told him so at the end of the interview. He was definitely disappointed.He then went to leave and discovered his car had been towed, as he had parked in a reserved spot in our parking lot and didn't write his car down in the sign in log.So now the guy is stuck at my office, he doesn't have the cash ($250) to get the car out of hock, and doesn't have a way to get there (his wife was out of town). Turns out the car that was towed was also only registered in his wife's name and the tow company will only release to the named person or requires a notarized letter authorizing release.So I front the guy $250, help him secure a notarized letter from his wife, and then drive him to the tow yard to get his car.My bad interview (which I cut short once I knew wasn't going anywhere) had went from 45 minutes to basically the entire day. And I still didn't have someone in the job.To top it off, the guy never repaid the $250.

I have limited knowledge of this sort of thing, and I am not a lawyer. However, as a notary I have notarized letters of authorization before. According to my research, no they do not have to be notarized to be valid. However, if anyone on the receiving end of that document wanted to rule out the possibility that the “authorizer’s” signature is not of the actual “authorizer” that the document claims they are (in other words, a forged signature) asking to have it notarized is a good way to prevent that from happening, since the notary identifies the signer and makes sure that the person who is said to be signing it is in fact that person.In short, any document whatsoever, where the identity of the person needs to be verified, needs to be notarized. Some documents need to be notarized in order to be valid, for other’s it’s just a good idea.
