Yes, absolutely. You can extend your visa while still in the country as long as it is processed before your previous one expires. If your previous visa expires you are required to leave the country as soon as possible no matter what, but as long as you get the renewal before it does you can stay without interruption.USCIS recommends that you apply for the renewal (using Form I-539, Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status) at least 45 days before your previous visa expires. 3 months is plenty of time, but of course you should do everything as soon as possible just to be safe.
