As for pain-killers, there's no league I know of that bans them. He had failed to turn up to that weekend’s events without prior notice. This resulted in a ‘welfare check’ requested by WWE. The police burst into his home in Fayetteville, Georgia that afternoon.The scene they were greeted with was chillingChris, his wife Nancy and and his 7-year-old son Daniel lay dead on the floor.This grim discovery sent shock waves across the wrestling world.The WWE cancelled the three-hour Raw show that was to be broadcast later that day and replaced it with a tribute to his life and career with some of his past fights.A true wrestling legend who was the victim of a freak murder? Wrong. The evidence that surfaced after investigation tarnished his name forever.The authorities determined that over a three-day period, Benoit had committed the murders before killing himself.His wife was bound before the killing. Benoit's son was drugged with Xanax and likely unconscious before Benoit strangled him.Benoit then committed suicide by hanging himself on his lat pulldown machine.Toxicology reports released on July 17, 2007, revealed that at their time of death, Nancy had three different drugs in her system: Xanax, hydrocodone, and hydromorphone, all of which were found at the therapeutic rather than toxic levels. Daniel was found to have Xanax in his system, which led the chief medical examiner to believe that he was sedated before he was murdered. Benoit was found to have Xanax, hydrocodone, and an elevated level of testosterone, caused by a synthetic form of the hormone, in his system. The chief medical examiner attributed the testosterone level to Benoit possibly being treated for a deficiency caused by previous steroid abuse or testicular insufficiency.After these facts came to light, the WWE began distancing themselves from Benoit, removing all merchandise and no longer mentioning the wrestler. The June 26 episode of ECW began with Vince McMahon addressing the television audience about the circumstances and announcing that there would be no mention of Benoit that night other than his comments.It has been suggested that repeated concussions and trauma that Benoit sustained in many years of fighting may have caused his mental instability."Benoit's brain was so severely damaged it resembled the brain of an 85-year-old Alzheimer's patient."He was reported to have had an advanced form of dementia, similar to the brains of four retired NFL players who had suffered multiple concussions, sank into depression, and harmed themselves or others.Certainly one of the more chilling last known photos if you know the story behind it.

Demba Ba is a highly injury prone player who had failed his medical at Stoke City, prior to joining Newcastle United. No doubt he is a decent player, but his injury record at the time meant his market value was rock-bottom. This meant that when he signed a contract with the club, his release clause was set at 7 million (apparently out of which 1.5 million goes to the player), which seemed very high at that point of time.Even now, when he has joined Chelsea FC, his market value with never cross those of Suarez and RVP, as he is massively injury prone.
