PDF Editor FAQ

Can I see a picture you drew?

I don't often take pictures of my art, but when I do, it's when I've done an exceptional job. This still life was last year. I got bored in my AP World class and ended up drawing a still life. I ended up giving it to the teacher, who I admire very much, but not without snapping a picture. This is a perfume bottle, drawn this year, in my Art 2 class. The teacher let me skip a year of art because I showed her my portfolio and she decided I was advanced enough to skip a year. This was a warmup for a still life unit in the art class. This is a watercolor piece I painted over the summer. It took me over 3 hours, and was based off of a picture I snapped on a road trip with my family. The original photo.Something I doodled and painted. I do those line-structure thingies in class when I'm bored and need to do something. Thanks for looking!Edit:I finished another still life in class:

What are some quick drawing tips?

It seriously depends on the below factorsDrawing mediumIf I choose pencil sketch it consumes quite less time when compared to acrylic / poster color painting.2. Reference pictureIf I'm choosing a picture of a bride / dancer with more ornaments, it'll take more time to draw the details of the jewelry. Whereas if I choose a portrait of a man or girl (with no ornaments) it'll take lesser time. Here both the portrait were drawn on same A4 size drawing paper. Both the portraits were drawn using graphite pencils. As the details of the princess is more due to the jewelry, it took more time to complete.3. Size of the portraitIf I choose my drawing canvas of A4 size it'll take more time than that of drawing in a palm size canvas. Here the portrait size of GV sir is half the size of pencil, hence the time taken to complete the pic with details is much lesser when compared to other drawing, which was drawn for A4 size.4. My mindset at the timeThe choice of choosing the picture, canvas size, medium of drawing purely depends on the mindset at the time of drawing :)Here, as the portrait size are small, each portrait just took me half an hour to 1 hour to complete. I just had 4 hours to complete all the above drawings so I chose the pencil medium and smaller size.If I have more time and it's for a very important occassion, I'll choose different medium and bigger size. Here's a A3 size portrait of a mohiniyattam dancer. It took me 15 hours to complete this portrait. Here are my 20 minutes sceneries. It just took me 20 minutes to complete each of these sceneries. Here are my 20 minutes portraits.

What is the absolute favorite drawing you’ve made so far?

I'm a self-taught digital painter and this is one of my most favorite paintings. It's a fanart of Lina from Dota2. There's no interesting story behind this piece.I wanted to draw a kid version of my favorite hero.Medium: digital (I used adobe photoshop and a wacom intuos graphic tablet).Time taken: 2 days.More arts here.
