Rather than try to game the test, a better tactic might be to stop drinking.WAR STORY ALERT: When I was a court officer, another court department had an offender on post-sentencing protocols, essentially probation. The offender had a long history of alcohol-related crimes, and stated in court that he needed help in managing his alcoholism. This pre-dated EtG tests. The judge required the offender to come to the courthouse every morning and take his Antabuse (a drug that causes the consumer to become violently ill if alcohol is ingested) tablet in the bailiff’s presence. Every morning when I was coming to work, the offender was sitting on the courthouse steps, waiting for the bailiff to come to work. We worked only from Monday to Friday.One Monday morning the offender was in the jail arraignments group for people who had been arrested over the weekend. He had been charged with DUI on Saturday evening. Some interviewing revealed that he had been experimenting every weekend to see how long he had to wait after his last Antabuse dose before he could consume alcohol without vomiting. It took weeks of unpleasant experiences, but he finally arrived at 38 hours before he could drink alcohol without gastric consequences. He started drinking on Saturday evening, and by early Sunday morning he was in jail for DUI.The judge revoked his post-sentencing program and sentenced him to a long course of jail.

You might also visit the vital records department in your county to see if a death certificate has been filed. Sometimes those are limited to relatives, but others are open to the public.
