I am shocked to learn that East Jerusalem is considered one of the “occupied territories.” I’m assuming that means that some people think it should be “returned” to the Palestinians. The problem is, they NEVER “owned” it.East Jerusalem was occupied by Jordan (not the Palestinians) from 1948 (after Jordan and 4 other countries attacked the newly formed state of Israel) until 1967 (when Israel won the 6-Day War). That is only 19 years out of the city’s 5,000 year old history!!! Before that, Jerusalem was ruled by the British and before that the Ottoman Empire.Jerusalem is one of the oldest cities in the world. Jerusalem has been attacked **52 times**, captured and recaptured **44 times**, besieged **23 times**, and destroyed twice.Israel has occupied East Jerusalem for the past 51 years. Since Jerusalem has been “captured and recaptured 44 times”, would you not agree that it should currently be ruled by the latest entity to “capture” it??? In the entire history of the world, traditionally the victor of a war keeps the conquered territory.To refer to East Jerusalem as “occupied” makes it sound like it should be returned to the Arabs. However, Judaism and Christianity (not just Islam) consider Jerusalem one of their holiest cities.The word “Jerusalem” is in the Biblical Old Testament 660 times and in the Biblical New Testament 146 times. The synonym Zion is in the Biblical Old Testament 158 times and in the Biblical New Testament 7 times. In contrast, it is not listed once in the Koran.In 1,000 B.C. King David conquered Jerusalem and made it the capital of the Jewish kingdom. He wanted to build a temple for God since the Ark of the Covenant was being kept in a tent. (II Samuel 7:1-2)His son King Solomon built the First Temple in 957 B.C. on Mount Moriah. According to Genesis 22:1-8 (which is part of the Jewish Torah and the Christian Bible), this is the place where Abraham was tested by God to sacrifice his only son Isaac. The word “Isaac” is specifically listed six times in Genesis 22:1-8.However, Muslims believe that Abraham was challenged to sacrifice his first son Ishmael (whose mother was Hagar, the servant of Abraham’s wife Sara) not Isaac.The Koran does not name the child that Abraham was challenged to sacrifice, but Muslims believe that a case for Ishmael is supported by the Koran. On Palm Sunday Jesus rode a donkey on his triumphal entry to Jerusalem while the crowds shouted “Hosanna”, which means “God save us.” (Luke 19:29-44). The Last Super took place in Jerusalem. (Matthew 26:17-30) Jesus was betrayed at the Garden of Gethsemane. (Matthew 26:36-50)Jesus ascended into heaven 40 days after his death from Bethany, which is located on the Mount of Olives. (Luke 24:50–51)According to Zechariah 14:4-5 and Acts 1:11, Jesus is going to return on the Mount of Olives (the mountain is going to split) and enter through the Eastern Gate. To prevent this, in 1541 the Muslim Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent sealed the Eastern Gate. This fulfilled the Biblical prophecy found in Ezekiel 44:1-3. Muslims believe that Muhammed ascended into heaven from the spot where the Al-Aqsa (which means “the farthest”) Mosque is currently located on the Temple Mount.The Night Journey is considered an Islamic miracle, where the angel Gabriel transported Muhammed from Mecca to Jerusalem on an angelic beast named Buraq for several hours to ascend into heaven to spend some time with Allah.However, the Koranic passage that talks about the “night journey” of Muhammad to the “farthest mosque” took place sometime in the year 621 while the mosque in Jerusalem was not built until 705 A.D.The Dome on the Rock is a shrine that contains the Foundation Stone. Muslims believe the stone marks the spot where Muhammad ascended into heaven. Jews believe it marks the location of either the Holy of Holies or of the Outer Altar. If it is the location of the Holy of Holies, then it is the most sacred spot in Judaism.Non-Muslims are not allowed to enter Mecca and Medina. Similarly, after the Jordanians took control of East Jerusalem in 1948, they did not allow Jewish people to enter. So for 19 years Jewish people were not able to worship at the religious sites in Jerusalem, which are the holiest sites in Judaism.While the Temple Mount (which houses the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque) is currently under Israeli sovereignty, it is administered by the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf. A waqf is a charitable trust recognized by Islamic law.Non-Muslims currently are not allowed to enter the Dome of the Rock or the Al-Aqsa Mosque The Temple Mount is only open to non-Muslims for four hours each day - 3 hours in the morning and 1 hour after lunch. Visitors are required to cover their arms and legs. (If a visitor does not have their arms and legs covered, waqf workers provide clothing to slip on over their clothes).Jewish prayer is forbidden on the Temple Mount. Back in April I saw a Jewish man get taken away by security for trying to pray on the mount, and I was politely asked to hide my cross necklace under my shirt.In 2015, rumors that Israel was going to impose changes at the site led to a “stabbing intifada,” meaning there were several knife attacks against Israeli civilians.In September 2000 right-wing Israeli opposition leader Ariel Sharon led a group of Israeli legislators onto the Temple Mount, which led to an intifada and thousands of deaths.On July 14, 2017 3 Arab Israelis killed 2 police officers near the Lion’s Gate with weapons they stashed at the Al-Aqsba Mosque. In response, Israel installed metal detectors, scaffolding, railings, and cameras. Arabs protested and they were removed on July 27, 2017. One year later on July 27, 2018 Arabs celebrated with a parade and fireworks.I will close with this. Christians believe that Jesus cannot come back until the temple is rebuilt. Since it is considered one of the holiest sites in Islam, it would take a miracle for that to happen.

Long answer ahead, be patient and read till the end.Sri Krishna : Nowadays some liberals or pseudo seculars think themselves as cool by insulting Sri Krishna. Let’s look at some of their claims.i) Married 16000 wives : They claim that Sri Krishna was a womanizer as he married 16000 wives.These guys are fools who have’nt read scriptures and always want to give their opinion in everything. Let’s see the reality. The story goes like this. There was a demon, by the name Narkasura, he had kidnapped 16000 women. After killing the demon , he rescued all those women but they were not being accepted by the society and so they decided to burn themselves. So Sri Krishna married them and gave them a place in the society. Did he even for once think that what would society think about him? What would people in the future think about him? No ,he did’nt. This is the best example of his greatness. He gave those women a life and a position in the society, without thinking what would people think about him. See how selfless he was. Those guys who are questioning him, do you guys even deserve to be the dust in his toes?ii) Stealing butter: He was a 5 year old kid . Judging a 5 year old kid for his mischiefs shows a foolishness in the minds of people. All kids are miscievous and like to have fun. Sri Krishna did’nt eat all the butter himself, he distributed it among friends. And when Sri Krishna , did’nt steal butter, the neighbours used to go and ask why did he not and used to feel sad, this was his personality.iii) Relations with Gopis : According to Puranas, there was only one Gopi Radha Rani and rest all were her part. Radha Rani was an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi herself, like Mata Rukmini , and hence they both are the one and same. Mata Satyabhama was an incarnation of Bhudevi, whose marriage with Sri Krishna ,was done for the killing of herself,even Mata Sita was the daughter of Bhu Devi, so in a way Mata Satyabhama , too was a part of Goddess Lakshmi herself.All marriages of Sri Krishna took place due to the wish of the bride or their family, you can find it , if you read Puranas. He did’nt look at a single woman with lust. It is also said that all the wives of Sri Krishna were a single entity ie . Goddess Lakshmi. It is even said that Sri Krishna assumed 16108 forms. So the case becomes 16108 kings for 16108 queens, 1 for each.iv) This claim is funny and ridiculous:Debunking: When Sri Krishna left Vrindavan , he was 11. So when he was having fun with the Gopis , he must be around 8 or 10. So ,these fools are comparing a 10 year old kid with Dussassan.Dussassan dragged Draupadi’s hair and dragged her to the Sabha , when Draupadi was in her season, and Karna had called her unchaste at that time. Draupadi was humiliated and asked to choose a new husband from the Kauravas, she was asked to sit on Duryodhana’s lap.So did Sri Krishna do anything like this with the Gopis? Was Dussassan a 10 year old kid at that time?This proves that the ones who are spreading this need to get themselves checked in some asylum , as they are a worthy candidate for the greatest idiot in the world.2. Sri Ram : These guys are also blaming Sri Ram for several reasons. Let’s debunk each of them.i) Sri Ram killed Bali from behind: This people can also contest for the above certificate. Valmiki Ramayana clearly mentions that Bali was hit with Sri Ram’s arrow on chest. So nursery fail people can you please enlighten us how can someone shoot an arrow on someone’s chest from behind? Now Bali was not someone innocent, he had looked Sugriva’s wife with lust, who was like his daughter-in-law.ii)Ravana was a scholar and a great person who did’nt even touch her: Another funny claim arising due to not reading Ramayana. Ravana was a pure evil and he had raped several women from Gandharvas and Nagas. He had even raped Rambha, the wife of Nal Kuber. She was also the daughter in law of Ravana . So Nal Kuber had cursed her that his head would burst, if he forces him on a woman next time. So he did’nt try to get close to Mata Sita. There is another funny claim made by some idiots that Ravana never touched Mata Sita. Then please enlighten us , how did he abduct her then? He had even threatened Mata Sita and said that he would eat her, if she did’nt agree to marry her.iii) Ravana was a great brother and Lakshman ji was wrong: Ravana had killed the husband of Surpanakha and had made her a widow. I have’nt heard any great brother do this. Surpanakha tried to kill Mata Sita , that’s why she got what she deserved. So , before raising questions on Lakshman ji, please check the difference between feminists and pseudo feminists. Same pseudo feminists who support Surpanakha, disappear , when they are asked if she was right in attacking and trying to kill Mata Sita, height of hypocrisy.iv) Sri Ram sent Mata Sita to forest when she was pregnant : This is believed to be an interpolation ie. added later. According to Valmiki Ramayana, they stayed together and ruled for 10000 years.3. Some new species of idiots have come into existence who call Goddess Durga as demoness and say that she does’nt care about her devotees. Let’s see some great devotees of Godess Durga.i) Tenali Rama : He was blessed by Goddess Durga with intelligence.ii) Srinivasa Ramanuja: Same case as that of Tenali Rama.iii) Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa : Ramakrishna was the teacher of Swami Vivekananda. He was such a staunch devotee of the goddess that once he requested the goddess to appear before him. He decided to chop off his head in case she didn't appear. He performed an aggressive dance before the goddess and in the end, when she did not appear, he picked up the sword to cut his head. However, just then the goddess appeared and blessed him. Ramakrishna went into a deep samadhi for many days after this. His teachings have been compiled in the book called 'Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna'.iv) Adi Shankaracharya : He was One of the most influential persons in the field of spirituality, Adi Shankaracharya was the one who revived Hinduism in the 8th century and was a great propagator of Advaita Vedanta. He even authored the book 'Saundarya Lahiri' along with Pushpadanta. It is a book in praise of Goddess Parvati. People believe he even went to Kailash Parvat and worshipped Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati there.v) Bamkhepa : Born in Bengal, he was a contemporary of Ramakrishna. He was a devotee of Goddess Mahakali. He never believed in rituals and expressed his love through other modes such as composing and singing songs etc. Prahlad Chandra Brahmachari was another such mystic who was a renown devotee of Goddess Durga.vi) Dhyanu Bhagat : Dhyanu Bhagat was a devotee of Jwala Ji, another form of Goddess Durga, worshipped in the Shakti Peeth in Himachal Pradesh. His faith was tested by the then King Akbar. After this, the king also tested the powers of the goddess. When he realised that the goddess existed, he apologised.vii) Vimalananda : Vimalananda was a devotee of Goddess Durga but followed the tantrik path for worshipping her. Though he preferred to maintain privacy and avoided coming before people in the open, his teachings have been jotted down by a disciple named Robert Svaboda who named the book 'Aghora' which is a trilogy.viii) Swami Vivekananda Swami Vivekananda worshipped Goddess Mahakali. It is said that he even saw her when he went to a secluded place for meditation. Once when he visited the Kheer Bhavani temple and was despaired to see the dilapidated state of the temple, he wanted to do something about it. However, it is said that the goddess appeared before him and explained that since the goddess is the protector of people and it is not the people who protect her, he need not worry much about the state of the temple.ix) Paramahamsa Yogananda He was the one who made the Kriya Yoga popular. It is said that seeking the darshan of the goddess, he visited the Dakshineswar temple of the goddess and offered prayers to her. He too believed in Ramayana and read Bhagwad Gita. Look I have no intention of insulting other relegions but some people on Quora are calling Sri Krishna as womanizer , Sri Ram as cruel , Goddess Durga as demon ,then how can I remain silent?So let’s start with Christianity : Since I am talking about Christianity, I will use new testament of Bible, so far no Jews have insulted us , so I will not say anything against the old testament, but if they too do it, then I will have no problem in adding them to this list.Let’s start with the birth of Jesus.Which Jesus will save you?In new testament there are 27 books and old testament has 39 books,since you are talking about Jesus,I will use the new testament. So the 27 books of new testament are divided in the following way :4 Gospels.Acts of Aspotles.21 EpistlesBook of Revelation.Let’s talk about your gospels for now because you all believe that these are written by disciples of Jesus Christ.So your 4 gospels are Matthew, Luke , Mark and John. All these were disciples of Jesus Christ and accompanied him everywhere they went. Let’s see the year of the birth of Jesus Christ(if there was ever a Jesus Christ) :Matthew Gospel : It tells us that Jesus took birth in 3–4 BCSo here if we compare this story with the birth of Sri Krishna,it looks similar to it and Sri Krishna was born about 3000 years before Jesus. This story about Jesus has been copied or borrowed from Mahabharata and added into the Bible.And there was a Roman king by the name Herod ,who had died in 4 bce ,so the birth of Jesus according to Matthew Gospel is not later than 4 bce.2. Mark : It unfortunately does’nt tell us the year of birth of Jesus. So we don’t get any reference here.3. Luke: Luke Gospel tells us about the birth of Jesus. Let’s see it.This particular Gospel of Bible tells us that there was going to be a census when Jesus was going to be born ie. when Mary was pregnant. This census was to take place during the reign of Augustus Caesar and during that time Quirinius was the Governor of Syria. This census of Quirnius had taken place in 6th century AD.Now if we compare Luke and Matthew Gospels, there is a gap of about 11 years. Obviously both of these cannot be true.So let us move on to the next gospel.4. John : Unfortunately it too does’nt give any reference.So we have these 4 gospels and according to Church not even a word of this is false, but we can clearly that they contradict each other. Something as basic as birth of Jesus is not clear in your Bible.So let’s move to the ancestors of Jesus.Again the gospels of Mark and John do not give us any information about the Geneology of Jesus. So ,let’s directly move to Matthew and Luke.If we look at Matthew, it starts from Abraham while if we look at Luke it starts from ,Adam.So before Abraham ,there cannot be any comparison,so we will compare them from Abraham.If we look at Matthew there are 39 generations between Abraham and Jesus. whereas Luke has 55 generations.The difference becomes prominent when we start looking from David to Jesus.When we compare them,only four names are common in two gospels, rest are either completely different or their spellings are different.So it is clear that one who wrote the Bible did’nt notice this. So we can draw two conclusions:1. Either there has been a huge printing mistake by the Biblical God.2. This Bible has been composed by a group of people who tried to create a new relegion out of nowhere.Even the grandfather of Jesus is different in Matthew and Luke. One says Jacob and another says Heli.They are masquarding as a relegion of love , but this is their reality.So let’s move to the most peaceful relegion in the world.There are much more I can write about the two but I am not like them who abuses others, I did’nt want to write even about them , but these guys incited me to. The “original Bible” was the Septuagint: that was the Greek translation made by the 70 Scribes in mid 3rd century through 2nd century Before Christ. This is the Bible that was used by Christ, and was adopted by His Church. This is the Bible from which the vast majority of the New Testament quotes from.The original books, which came to form the New Testament were mostly Greek texts that were read at Mass in the early Church. By the end of the fourth century After Christ (AD 382) Pope St. Damasus I at the Council of Rome decided on the official Bible for Christians using the Septuagint for its Old Testament and the gathered books that were read at Mass as the New Testament.Then he requested St. Jerome to translate the entire thing into Latin as Latin had replaced Greek as the common tongue of the people in the Western Empire, in order that the people would have the Scriptures preached to them in their own language.This Bible was called the Vulgata (Vulgate in English), the officially approved text of the Catholic Church, and the original Bible.The descendants of the Jews who had not believed in the Messiah, removed seven books from their Bible, those books were called the Deuterocanonical books as they came into the Biblical canon later than the Protocanonical books.The Deuterocanonical books were mostly written during the Exile when the Jews no longer had a Temple, and God was trying to teach them how to worship Him without a Temple. They concentrated on three things, Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiviving, admirably summed up in Tobit, I believe chapters 4 and 12.Our Blessed Lord, when He began His preaching, began talking directly to the people about how they were to worship God. His first sermon, the Sermon on the Mount, chapters 5–7 of St. Matthew’s Gospel, is based on Tobit chapters 4 and 12, wherein Our Blessed Lord concentrates on prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.Meanwhile, the Jew, in removing those Deuterocanonical books decided to revert to Hebrew. The only Hebrew Bible that had been used during Our Blessed Lord’s time had been used in the Temple; everyday Jews read from the Septuagint, and that is the Bible that Our Blessed Lord obviously used.The Jews, much later (after Christ) rejected those “Christian books” and came up with a Hebrew text called the Masorectic text.This is the text that the Jews still use today, and it is the text that the Protestants in England based their Bible on. Remembering that when the Jews changed the text of the Scriptures, they had already lost authority over the Scriptures as the Jews who believed in Christ had maintained the Bible which He used, and which they all used.So, if you are looking for an “original Bible” go no further than the Vulgate. The best translation of the Vulgate in English right now is the Knox Bible, and the old standby is the Douay-Rheims translation which was made in English about a decade before the King James Version (the Protestant “Bible” based on the Masorectic text). The Knox Bible was made in England by Msgr. Knox between World War I and II.After the Knox version, and the partially completed Confraternity edition in English, Pope Pius XII gave permission to Biblical scholars to use and compare the Masorectic text Scriptures.Unfortunately, since then, all the English Bibles published have been based on the Masorectic text, with the addition of the Deuterocanonicals. For an English speaker, the only text worth considering would be the Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition. If you do not know how to read Latin, I would suggest the Knox Version as the closest to the “original” as possible.If you are a Protestant, who bases their entire religion on the Bible alone, unfortunately there is no gold plated “original Bible” somewhere, all you have are translations of translations, mostly filtered through the Jews who rejected Christ.But you do not need to depend on the Bible alone. Christ never wrote a Bible, nor tell you to read one. Instead He established His Church, and guaranteed it until the end of the world, and gave it His Sacraments in order for people to come to Him.
