Mid Year Report Common App: Fill & Download for Free

Every Ivy League school is a bit different. If you are interested in applying to a specific school, then you should spend time on their website researching if those application requirements are any different. However, every Ivy League uses the Common Application for their college admissions. If you look more into their description, they are specific about whether or not the test needs to include the “Writing” portion. 2) Two SAT Subject Tests. Along with most top schools, Harvard requires two SAT Subject Tests. 3) Mid-Year School Report. Most Ivy League Schools ask for this update, which is submitted from your high school to the admissions office in February. Colleges look at this report to make sure that you are still pushing yourself academically during your senior year of high school. 4) Supplemental essays. Like most top schools, Harvard has their own essay questions that they would like students to answer. You need an incredible personal statement, but your supplemental essays need to concretely show why Harvard (or whatever college you are applying to!) is specifically the best school for you.A lot of Ivy League Schools follow these general admissions requirements, but again, each school is specific in what they want. A mid year report is basically your grades (transcript) half way through senior year. It is usually sent directly from the HS to each college to which you have applications pending. It is sent AFTER applying and not connected with the Common App. Some (most) colleges will also accept updates from students at that time, such as new awards or honors earned since they applied.

For the Common Application, your school counselor can submit a mid-term report or an optional report.In what order should I submit the Counselor school forms?The Counselor Recommendation, Optional, Mid Year, and Final Report forms are intended to be used as a way of updating colleges about a student's academic progress subsequent to submitting the initial School Report form. You will not see the option to submit subsequent forms until after the School Report has been completed and submitted.Counselors should submit Mid Year Reports as soon as first semester/trimester grades are available. The Common App Online School Forms system does not send reminders about these forms, nor do counselors receive invitations to submit as they do with the Secondary School Report. It is the student's responsibility to keep track of this requirement and ensure that the counselor is aware of it.If a college doesn’t use the Common App, check their website for instructions on a mid-year report. If you don’t see them mentioning it, contact the admissions office and ask how you can submit an update with your fall semester grades.
