No.Nothing that Bob Laughlin writes on String Theory is credible or relevant.I urge strong caution in believing anything that Bob Laughlin writes without personally investigating it.As an example, Bob Laughlin was brought in as President of KAIST[1], which is one of the most prestigious universities in the world. It is like Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, MIT all rolled into one for Korea. The Korean government considers this a national treasure and supports it strongly and there is no evidence that they would ever harm it. They felt honored that a Nobel Laureate would come to lead this institute. However, after a relatively short period of time, the faculty in an almost unprecedented fashion led a revolt against him. The reason is that Bob Laughlin felt that KAIST should not be government supported and be supported by student fees and turning it into something more along the lines of the University of Phoenix.
