There’s no hidden service charges - in the USA, the price on the menu is just the price for the food, and then you have to pay an extra 20% - 25% for someone to get the food at your table and harrasing you if you don’t tip. So it’s already cheaper. Then, consider what you’d pay in the USA for proper food to be cooked with fresh produce. Only at upscale restaurants, you get proper fresh food as we know it. Then, if a fruit juice is requested, it comes from a package, not from a real fruit. For all brazillians that have never been to the usa, at regular restaurants food is mass produced and there is a very high chance you are getting food made from frozen packages, and quickly assembled. Nothing comes from a market simply because markets in the usa are virtually unexistant. Whenever you find one, commonly named farmers markerts, restauranteurs cannot afford to buy their supplies there because fresh food is so expensive in comparison. Organic restaurants are very expensive in the USA.In Brazil, you are going to get good fresh food, real juices, and authentic smiles!!! So it is a winner. And prices are actually lower even after all of these points. So, in apples to apples comparison, brazil is cheaper. You can always compare fresh to mass produced. That is Not fair. Just stop thinking americans, french, mexicans, brazillians do eat at restaurants every day. Nobody does that every day. We cook at home. We eat rice, beans, pasta, chicken, vegetables at home. If eaten with a loving family, it is better than any restaurant.By the way, In Brazil, you are going to be invited to a meal at sone stranger's home often. They are marvelous people. Not as bad as Phantom Menace, though.Kung Fu Panda: did not see.The Incredibles: did not see.Hancock: perfectly fine.Ratatouille: did not see.The Lost World: Jurassic Park: terrible.The Passion of the Christ: amazingly, as it was made by a Hollywood insider of enormously long standing about something he believes in deeply, this movie was made in a comically slipshod manner that had me laughing out loud in the theater (much to the chagrin of the friend I went with, who thought we were going to be attacked by churchgoers for blasphemy). This movie is a monument to the power of faith, in that it would take an enormous amount of cognitive dissonance to convince yourself that this is anything but near-Plan-9 exploitation schlock.
