PDF Editor FAQ

How can I become confident in going my own way, especially if it's somewhere that I will be alone?

I’ve been traveling for over two years now. Half of that time I’ve been alone.I’ve traveled through South America, New York City, Indonesia, Vietnam, Italy, and I’m currently in India.I’ve realized a couple things that I think might help you.Focus on what you love to do, even if you are alone, in a new city or new life situation. A mentor, a former employer always told me, “What you focus on, expands.” Through honing a skill you love, more confidence will come. Being alone won’t scare as you much in the new environment. That career change won’t seem as daunting. Also, people will come into your life who have similar interests and who embody the same qualities as you.But this doens’t come right away…. The synchronicity, it may take time. The first 6–12 months will be difficult. It will be different. You will feel uncomfortable. You have to have FAITH. Faith in your intentions. Faith in following your heart. When you do this, the Universe will indeed provide to you. The intentions and practice will provide the fruits and the direction you might feel is lacking right now, alone.Example:I just set off for India from New Jersey for a three month adventure. I had no exact plans on what I would do, just a few things I absolutely wanted to see. I had some fear about this uncertainty. India is an overwhelming country from the outside looking in. That nervous feeling and lack of confidence of losing a sense of control arose within me. It was scary leading up to a couple days before the flight. But my intentions were clear. My intentions were to embark on a spiritual journey in India. To go to Bod Gaya, the place where Buddha became enlightened. To visit Veranasi, and it’s sacred Ganges River. To visit the ashram of Paramahansa Yogananda, the author of the book “Autobiography of a Yogi.” The book that has a lasting impact on me, the book I was reading last year in New York City, while writing my first book The Inner Peace Experiment. To also complete the 10 day silent meditation retreat/course called Vipassana, the meditation technique of the Buddha.Further, to journal every day to create my second book. A book about this voyage to India. My intentions were set. The wheels were in motion. But I didn’t have all the answers. A roadmap of my adventures, understanding the people and culture, and having reliable contacts were all still in question.Then….The first day I landed in India I wrote a facebook post. A (facebook) friend, whom I never met before, reached out saying he lived in Mumbai. I had no idea he lived in India. We both have a mutual friend in San Diego. We only had one conversation about three years ago and never stayed in touch. This facebook friend from India, along with his family took me in. He invited me to stay their residence and he showed me around Mumbai. He became my guide the first two weeks. He then invited me to their ashram north of Mumbai and I was introduced to their religion (Jainism), their beautiful practices that can implemented in daily life regardless or creed or philosophy, and their Guru. This was a completely unexpected path, but in perfect alignment with my intentions. To learn more about spirituality, to embark on experiences that will introduce new ideas and to raise my level of consciousness. My friend from Mumbai who took me in, he is like-minded and on his own spiritual journey as well. He’s decided to join me on my journey over then next two months. The Universe, in the form of Mother India, has provided.I’m gaining confidence. I’m not alone.I’m grateful. The Universe will provide for you too, when you make your intentions clear, when you follow your heart, your bliss.

Can you give some comments on the thought "If life would have been went by my way I would have been much worse by now."?

First thing first… See, Life doesn't go always as you expect it to be or try it to be. There are always some mishappennings and miracles too. You can only expect that something will happen but it may or may not happen. So, there is no such thing like my way because God always have plans for us and he will do these things in some way or another. He will give you the things according to your hard work , talent, intention, faith and good deeds. All the things which will happen in your life is happening according to his plan. But You also can write your destiny if you have that amount of courage and faith in you. So much that you will never give up until you get it. Then God have to change his plan. He has to give it what you desire and deserve. And there are miracles too. You may thing at certain worst situation that all the paths are closed and you can't go anywhere now. Then he will show you the path with the miracles things and people you have ever imagined. So the best way would be to believe in God with an equal belief in you that no such things are there which are beyond your reach.

What would happen if I responded with, "I don't believe in God after my mother died" to a religious person trying to convert me?

→What would happen if I responded with, "I don't believe in God after my mother died" to a religious person trying to convert me?They’d say they’re sorry (but they’re really not), and then tell you one of either of the following:“You need to remember that God has a plan for all of us, and we may not always understand the LORD’s intentions— but we need to trust that his work is good and have faith in Him.” OR,“God is consistently testing you, and putting you through trials to test your faith in Him. Remember, follow the path that the LORD has set out for all of us, and do not stray from that path, because you will be rewarded— you’ll see your mother again, soon.”But, in the end, it’s all bullshit designed to market their church organisation.
