The Union government, filed an application in the Supreme Court seeking correction in its judgement on Rafale deal in which a reference has been made about the (CAG) report and (PAC).It was mentioned in para 25 of the judgement of the Supreme court that CAG had completed it's report on Rafale deal, and PAC had been provided with the CAG reports on pricing details. which had held that there were no irregularities in the procurement of 36 Rafale jets from France.Now it appears that CAG has not yet finalised the report on Rafale deal and also not in position to do so anytime soon.The Supreme Court believing upon the information, given to it by Central Government in sealed envelope, proceeded to order that there's no need for any inquiries in Rafale deal.What impact the correction of this error can have on the original verdict?The Supreme Court order on Rafale deal becomes null and void both terms means the same.A Maxim -expressio unius est exclusio alterius : a principle in statutory construction: when one or more things of a class are expressly mentioned others of the same class are excluded, based upon this principle, either Government sticks to what was pleaded or the judgement goes.The so called “grammatical mistakes” is mentioned in this answer -What are your views on the recent request of the Centre to the Supreme Court to make factual corrections in Rafale verdict?Thanks for the request.

TA is a part time army, by default it does not offer a regular career like regular army, but an integral part of regular army basically constituted in 1948 to give an opportunity for gainfully employed citizens to wear army uniform and get trained for army duties for a duration of two months in a year.Serving regular army officers are posted by MS Branch on ERE to Inf TA Bns for a fixed tenure of 2.5 years to 3 years as per their rank . They can be posted as CO, Inf TA Bn in the rank of Colonel, 2IC in the Lt Cols rank and in Majs rank as Adjt or QM of TA Bn.But if a regular army officer wants to convert permanently from regular army to TA, then he has to quit regular army and can again be re commissioned into TA through the ex - officers entry . On re commissioning into TA from regular army, his former regular army commissioned service in full will be counted towards TA service for increments of pay and promotion purpose as per the provisions of TA regulations Para 25 (a) and 38 (a) .
