The saddest thing I've seen a parent do to their child (even if the child was unaware) was watch them fight with someone who loved and cared for them for their own personal gain.Backstory: I am a recovering alcoholic. I by no means claim to be perfect.I've seen a lot of “parents” with children that just want kids to be in charge of something. They can't handle the responsibility but they want the title of being a parent. It was very hard for me but I had to think of them.I went through rehab and therapy and I met a woman there. Her baby was born addicted to meth. She had 8 other children whom she had lost through child services. She was fighting tooth and nail with her mom for this child. She admitted in group that she needed this baby for homing and assistance services. Not to mention disability because of the baby's health problems. I felt sick to my stomach. She was on methadone or some other medication to wean off whatever she was on and would often fall asleep in group. As a group we are not there to judge. But we did ask questions. We asked a lot. The whole time she rolled her eyes and insisted we “just didn't know”. She never admitted to having a problem. She “participated” in group and was there so I think that's all that mattered.It disgusted me so much because I saw the ones that were there to get help. We were all confused. Child services, courts and probation all see it in black and white. You attend, you're speaking up and your appearance is up, you pass! The counselor may not report what you spoke about unless it involves hurting yourself or another person.She got her baby back.It hurt me so much because her own mom came and got the baby and took care of him through withdrawals and everything else. She didn't have to. But she did. And she had to give him back to this monster who only wanted him because she needed the assistance.

After 5 days of journey he handed me 250 INR as payment for my 5 days of service.2. After exploring Gujarat I was left again with Zero INR. so then in Mount Abu , I worked as a tourist guide for foreign visitors where I used my strong knowledge of History and English. They Charged me 200INR per hour. I worked there like 5 days* 10 hours and ended up with 10,000 Inr.3. Then I donated the 9,500 inr to a orphanage local to Mount abu, and started my journey again.4. I boarded a train in a near by railway station which was going to Delhi. TC caught me without ticket and handed me to RPF in Jaipur. In RPF station I spent 3 days convincing them that I am not a terrorist. When they left me , I worked in Railway Bookstall as a assistant, selling English Books in halted trains. the Stall owner used to give me 150/day with meals.5. After spending 7 days there Now I am currently in Lucknow working in a Private Tuition center working 1000/- per a lecture( My degrees helping here :) )I never regretted about my decision about traveling all over INDIA, because I am sure that I can earn 6 digits of salary every month . I past memory flashed in…Me: what is that ? can you please tell me.He: Hmm….When my son was in his teenage, he used to tell me like: Dad ! So I found a small house in the village which had a big Neem Tree and a Well. So went to the home and Knocked on the door, and a old Lady opened the door. I asked her if I can stay under the Tree and use that well to get freshen up. and the conversation started..She: Who are you, I don’t think you belong to this village?Me: Yes, I am travelling through your village, and wanted to take some rest here under the treeShe: Oh, God. If any one sees you here, they won’t allow you to enter their houses or they won’t talk to you.Me: Why? what’s wrong with you?She: Please, I am saying it for you safety only! please goMe: No , I don’t care. How ever I am leaving this village in the evening so I don’t care about themShe: Come Inside.After, Long Discussions and talks I came to know that once she was a Second Wife(Keep or Personnel women for head of the village) and she had spent her whole life serving for personnel desires of Head of the Village. People used to respect her and treat well when the Head of the village was alive. But the situation has changed when he died. People started misbehaving with her and so many men used to harass her and some of them tried to rape her as well, so she complained it to the police and they have take action against some of the named persons in the village. Then After some time they have stamped her a name of Prostitute and kept a rule that no one will talk to her or help her in any case. She used to visit near by village for her daily groceries or any other stuff.When Last summer there was scarcity of water in the Village, But The well in Old Lady’s house was full of water. When She requested the villagers to use the water in her Well. They Simply refused and said like..Our children also become like you If we make them drink this Water…Still as today Everyone in the villages walks 6–8 km everyday to get the water,, not utilizing the water in Old lady’s home.I tasted the Water in the village it was as sweet as old women, She is a Great Women.While leaving I gave her my contact info and said;If you have any problem, please call this number,,,It’s your Son’s number,,He will come for you at any time..She Smiled with her eyes,,,and I know what they mean…Edit 5:Sorry for not updating my experiences friends.
