I’m comfortable living in Michigan - but I’m also someone who didn’t have much ambition to find someplace better after finding Ann Arbor, MI. I’ve lived in Michigan my whole life, except for a few brief trips within the USA.So, my perspective is biased, but I hope you can at at least understand the bias.Actually, my unambitious life is even worse than I make out above. I grew up in St. Joseph, MI (southwestern lower Michigan, right where I-94 turns to go around the southern end of Lake Michigan.) And I’ve lived the rest of my life in Ann Arbor. I’m a resident of I-94.I have lived around copious fresh water my whole life. That’s a kind of “easy” that’s hard to appreciate. I look at pictures of the arid western US and shudder - and just about all of it is arid (by my standards.)I grew up in a house on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. St Joseph’s city water system draws water FROM Lake Michigan.St Joseph, MI (and the whole western side of lower Michigan) gets Lake Effect Snow kind of like Buffalo NY does - except it doesn’t get the news reports the way Buffalo does. One of the first things I noticed when I moved to Ann Arbor for the University of Michigan is that Ann Arbor doesn’t get very much snow - and is colder. St Joseph had front loaders and road graders to move snow around, with snow plow trucks as a backup. That town of 9,000 was better prepared for snow than Ann Arbor (110,000 at the time.) Why you hardly ever have to lift the snow above your shoulders when clearing the driveway in Ann Arbor.The small town of St Joseph has many, many trees - as does Ann Arbor. Many small towns in Michigan have many trees - and many large cities in Michigan don’t (by my standards.) Ann Arbor, which calls itself “Tree Town USA” (among other things, and along side many other “Tree Towns” in the US) has a good number of trees. You know about the trees in the autumn, especially if you have a yard and have to clear the leaves.This page is a bit of an exaggeration: Michigan HumorBut this pleasant environment is marred by the policies of the State government and the singular importance the automotive industry has had over most of the state. Basically, Michigan is a one-trick pony - and that pony has long been the automotive industry. When times are good, there’s pressure to do as much to support the automotive industry as possible - and when times are bad, there’s pressure to support the automotive industry as possible. Even the tourist-trap western side of lower Michigan is affected by this. Worse, the state government is dominated by the GOP in one of the most terribly gerrymandered districting maps in the US. This GOP government is destroying the state public school system. Michigan (with a successful automotive industry) was in the top 20% of states for public education - and is now in the bottom 10% because of narrow minded GOP policies.And frankly, the economy sucks rocks.If you’re moving from most of the rest of the US to Michigan, you’ll see cheaper homes - and that is a kind of trap because you’ll never build up enough equity to move out to a (roughly) comparable house again.I was very (very very very very) lucky to be able to buy a house in Ann Arbor. I bought it at the bottom of the real estate market - but housing prices where I live are driving young people out.

In my personal view, I have to say St. Joseph International School at Ansal in Sushant Golf City is one of the best schools here in Lucknow.The school staff is brilliant and they really do care about the students and their growth both academically and culturally. The school policy is not to overstuff the classes with students. I felt that their priority is to ensure that each child gets enough time and attention by all the teachers and not just by a select few teachers or to a select few students. It’s this commitment and continued delivery on their promise that separates them from the other big name schools in the city.the child’s overall improvement is nothing short of fantastic and you really do see a positive change in the attitude of the child towards his or her studies.All in all, I would say choose SJIS Ansal.
