I dunno about enlightenment but it most definetly causes ego death more often than not allowing for experiences that can be either transformative or devastating, depending on what headspace your in at the time. Unlike other psychoactive disassociatives I've experimented with, often times I've encountered entities colloquially refered to as the deepsters on my DMT trips. In fact the only time I've ever interacted with deepsters is while on DMT. To the best of my recollection I didn't decorporalize on my visits where I encountered the deepsters but it may have happened once or twice as ego death isn't guaranteed every time. Now I am no stranger to ego death but one of the most profound trips I had on DMT where ego death did occure took place long after I had become a veteran with it and fundamentally changed me to this day.So at this point in time I had managed to have a gram of pure crystal DMT synthesized for my own personal experimentation. This was not my first rodeo and I had more than enough experience with most of the accessible compounds classified as psychoactive disassociatives for me to consider them by far, my most favorite class of enthogenic drugs. I had tried many different RC's and various analogs of DMT but only had limited experience with this molecule, the holy grail as it were.To avoid having to orally activate this tryptamine with MAOi's my early experiments consisted of ingesting 20mg dosages administered via vaporizing it through various smoking apparatus. I began increasing efficacy by experimenting with pipe designs so the threshold dosages stayed at 20mg for a while as I continually increased the ratio of delivery versus amount consumed per dosage. Once I finally worked out a delivery methodology to maximize efficacy and with my consistent daily dosages, you only get to ride that ride once a day, I then began experiments in titration. With my inate cross tolerance to tryptamines and diligent daily travels as a psychonaut, I was soon dosing at 60mg per trip.I was regularly dosing at 60mg daily when I experienced the life altering event I am about to relate.So at this point in my life my wife was threatening to leave me and she was adamant that we seek marriage counciling due to my infidelity. In fact, this had become an ultimatum of hers as a condition for her to not move out immediately. She had contacted both of my mistresses and they were all actively plotting together to entrap me for any further transgressions. One mistress I had been seeing for 7 years and the other 4 years. At this point my wife and I had been together 12 years. So between my wife being hurt and isolating herself emotionally and the subsequent damage to our marriage being compounded by the need to abruptly sever all ties with the other two other women in my life that I loved, I was getting pretty lonely. In fact the very real possibility of also loosing my wife as well was preoccupying my thoughts pretty consistently. I was alread lonely enough- the prospect of it becoming all encompassing was something I dwelled on a lot.So this was the headspace I was in. All things considered, I was in a pretty good mood that day as I was with friends when I decided to trip. But I wasn't all that aware of how strongly those emotions were still swirling around in the maelstrom that was my psyche.I measure out the 60mg and prepare the apparatus. The entire dosage must be inhaled all at one time, because as I said- you only get one ticket a day for that ride. trust me, I've tried many times to sneak back onto another ride without ANY luck whatsoever.(if you know of a way to repotentiate for another dosage within a 24 hour window, please contact me, I would love to talk to you OR anyone with experience in titration and administration of IV dosages same goes for those individuals)I light up the dose and take my full pull. I see the usual rushing stream of purple and green smoking lights getting denser and faster and brighter until that unbelievablely bright flash of space time condensing down into a singularity and jettisoning you out onto the 4th Plateau. So on this occasion I arrive without my corporeal form and am now existing only as my consciousness represented as a perfect orange sphere with the texture of a citrus peel. It almost looks like a texture mapped CGI graphic from the early 90’s, sans shitty shadowing and lighting effects.As I am acclimating to my new environment I gradually become aware of my aloneness as I seem to be in a universe populated with me as the sole living being. As I become cognizant of my other worries carried in from my corporeal space time and the dawning realization that even if there is other life out here, its no where near me and the orange entity that is me starts to sublimate into a dense vapor. As I swell in size, my outer layers are ejected off so that I return to my original dimensions but I'm losing density at an alarming rate with each burst becoming more energetic and quicker in succession. Finally I blast off my last cloud shell in a violent flash and all that remains is a thin orange amorphous trail of smoke.So now I'm a little worried about sticking around to more of that happening and the only thing I can think to do is to find something, find anything that can help me with not completely evaporating into the empty vastness of this universe. I will myself to traverse the distances of this non physical time space. The longer I'm here, the better I get at it and accelerate with ever increasing speed. Eventually I reach the limits of travel in this universe and have covered immense amounts of space with my vista changing almost imperceptibly at the very slightest. Visually it looks like I haven't much moved at all, but some how I am aware of my momentum and the eons of time that have alredy elapsed since my arrival.The best example I can give of this was in the episode of Star Trek TNG when the enterprise encounters a vessel that is the last artifact of an ancient and extinct race and their lost culture. When Picard gives the command to scan it, it suddenly flashes and beams energy into the bridge causing Picard to loose consciousness for roughly 90 seconds. When he awakes, he cannot believe he is back on the bridge and in the same time continuum he was when he went unconscious.In that brief moment he was down, he lived an entire lifetime as one of these extinct aliens and experienced their culture starting with him falling in love as a young man and getting married, raising children and becoming the patriarch of a large family before he dies in old age as a great grandfather at the end of a full and rich life. His vocation in that life was that of an instrument maker and he was a skilled musician. In fact one of the first things he does in his normal timeline is make one of their instruments so that he can play traditional songs to help him with being homesick and the sudden loss of his alien loved ones.So this is was happened to me. I existed for untold millennia searching for companionship. I grew more and more lonely until I could not take it anymore. I had lost the will to live and simply wanted nothing more than to cease my miserable and terrible existence. So when i located a black hole I headed straight for it at full speed so that my consciousness could get lost in that lightless abyss and finally absorb my distinctness so that i could be scattered far and wide into the background noise of the void.As my energy is ejected out the other side in a gamma burst, the rays pierce through this dimension and force me to rematerialize in this time space as I become aware of myself being squeezed out of a gopherhole like toothpaste up through the floor.So my friends help me up as I am wobbly and unused to any gravity. I quickly look around bewildered and ask them wtf is happening here. They proceed to tell me that as I inhaled that cloud, I started stumbling and fell down and rolled around with enough vigor that they had to move furniture and such out of the way so I wouldn't hurt myself. They said I just made crazy sounds the entire time and after about 8 minutes of this I started trying to stand up which is when they grabbed me and helped me up.I look at them like they are fucking insane and all I can say is “I gotta go” as I was not accustomed to being in the presence of other sentient beings. As far as I am concerned, I lived thousands of years in the worst possible hell of absolute solitude. I now knew the value of love and that the only thing you take with you when you leave this plane of existence is the impact you had on those around you. Life is too short to be bitter and deceitful cyninal and untrusting. Love unconditionally and honestly and never take for granted tomorrow, because God promises tomorrow to no man. Theres no such thing as the difference between the Ivy League schools in the US and others globally.because there are no others elsewhere. Unless if you’re referring to other big-name, highly reputable academic institutions such as I have listed below,which are as rigorous, on par or exceeding some standards of these University Ivies as they’re famously and popularly referred,and Funnily, I justwrote about a similar thing ranting with passion a few days ago on Quora, because of the overstatements and over emphasis I get about Ivy education, which irks me in many ways, especially of how they are perceived, purported, and used to compare, challenge, intimidate and undermine the academic integrity of other great institutions everywhere., I hope I don’t digress too far. Iwrote it in response to a question on other schools that might be better than the Ivies. and what I’ve been bombarded with in the past which insinuated that an Ivy education is an anassurance to riches.or Ora gatewayto the E suite ( which is a major hogwash)Please see below for those schools’ names. And remember while checking out their names that no individual or institution has a monopoly on knowledge,intellectuality, education,and whatever else they might be. Each individual’s performance in his field would not be expected to always be on par with other graduates of the same school. Similarly, all Ivy League students and Ivy ’products should not be expected to outperform other students,and graduates of lesser known institutions whenever they meet or compete.because, there are many people, who might have not been privileged or fortunate to attend one of such Ivies or big name schools, yet they’re far more brilliant I have an in-law whohas never sat in any University classroom and has successfully ran multi-million-dollar businessess for over 20 years Essentially, the name of an institution on an individual’s certificate may not uphold the individual!s performance, as it may also give a phantom expectation of that individualFirstly,all eight Ivy League colleges and Universities are located in the norrheastern part of the USA and they were formed as premier NCAA athletics conference group of major academic institutions in the USA, of which only eight higher educational institutions signed up, in the mid20th century, between1952 and 1954, At the time, ,the Regents of the Rutgers University,in NewJersey turned down the idea of joining, the athletic union, since they did not want their great institution to be perceived, or regarded as more of an athletically-proficient institution rather than that of it’s primary purpose to educate its student force. So, in the end, Rutgers University simply refused to join the cadre of the so-called Ivy League schools, A decision which in retrospect, they might have regretted or are still regretting, due to the great reputation the Ivies have enjoyed for decades and will probably continue to enjoy for many years to come, regardless of how people like means others feel . After all, theyy have appeared to be innoculated or immune from countless scandals and controversies spanning many decades with misrepresentations,, misperceptions,etc, and they have been unfairly purported or portrayed as the only or most academically elite institutions. today, globally, which in my humble opinion is either a hogwash, a myth or a fallacy.My claim is not due to any bias or disrespect , especially since I currently have a nephew in one of their best Dental schools,For which, we are very grateful, On top of which, I have had severalrelatives who have successfully attended the very best of then, for whose admissions, we are grateful.and proudly, none on a Legacy program either. Personally, In 2004, I had an opoortunity to attend one in New York for my doctorate, but decided against it, due to my young kids and recent relocation to Atlanta, Georgia at the time. For me, there’s othing more or less to the Ivies. Each school, Ivy or not, has its uniqueness “niches” and programs and strengths. So, let’s start to appreciate our other great schools, de-emphasize the Ivies education, and start to accord due respect to all other equally great schools for what they are.To conclude my tirade, buttress my point, and enlighten others who may care to know, that there is a host of other great US universities, outside of the Ivy League ones, as stated above. They include the New Jersey Institute of Technology( NJIT ( my Alma mater) whose students are majorly STEM students, and are highly regarded in the northeast area as one of the very best academic institutions.A lot if it’s programs are in collaboration with Princeton University and other major NJ/NY schools.. I beg to differ that the Ivies are what they’re purported to be. That’s a myth. Among them are three(3)STEMprograms including Medicine that I know of in Nigeria,two (2)in Ghana,, one or two(1or2) in South Korea,three(3) in India,five( 5) in Europe,two(2) in the UK alone, one(1) in Iran, two (2)in , Japan two(( 2) in China whose academic standards in some of their programs are far more competitive than at the Ivies., hence the successful admission of a lot if them into the Ivies and other best schools and workforce globally and their capable productsfrom those countriesget into the Ivies and otherhteat schools and their most rigorous programs. These are the reasons why you see a lot of those nationalities s in a lot of the dreaded fieldsand studies,Its due to their early imbbition,rudimentary trainings, inate determination to succeed,(formative years imbibed academic prowess,and exposure tocompetitiveness) whichstays with them into thethe workplace, and their readiness to adjust to. situations and improvise when necessary, Feats that possibly, their inadequate resources experience would likely have prepared them for some cases, This may also, speak to why their students are mostly always the brightest professionals globally,because of their tenacity and determination to be better than their conpetition in their chosen fields.
