Since the beginning of civilization, stories have been told from the perspective of the narrator and the perspective of the narrator is shaped by the time in which they live. An episode of Star Trek isn’t really that different from the stories told around campfires thousands of years ago. Star Trek isn’t a documentary, it is mythology.We shouldn’t expect a storyteller in 2017 to imagine the story in the same way that a storyteller in 1966 would have imagined it – especially when that imagination is predicting the future.When we watch episodes of the original Star Trek series, we understand that we are looking at the future envisioned by writers and artists in 1966 and restrained by the production capabilities and budgets of 1966. Technology has advanced in many ways in the fifty-one years that Star Trek has existed, sometimes rendering future visions obsolete. A television show made in 2017 has to reflect 2017. In the original Star Trek series, the conference rooms had CRT monitors. A 2017 audience is going to have difficulty with a 2017 vision of the future including CRT monitors.As a hardcore Star Trek fan, I would be thrilled with a series, made today, but using the exact same sets, props, costumes, makeup, and viewpoint as the original series. I like watching the fan-made episodes, like Star Trek Continues. But, the audience willing to do that isn’t big enough to support an expensive network television series. Such a series has to find ways to capture the eyes of a broader audience. They have to find ways to make Star Trek look cool and futuristic to a new audience and that can’t be done by envisioning the future through fifty-one year old lenses.Ultimately, what is important is the essence of Star Trek, not the set dressings. It doesn’t matter if the captain is talking to a flatscreen projection or a hologram at the front of the bridge. It’s what that captain is doing and saying that matters. Is the show envisioning a humanistic future - a meritocracy in which we can do great things if we work hard and work together - a future in which knowledge is the goal and we are reaching out, exploring strange new worlds, seeking out new life and new civilizations, boldly going where no one has gone before? If it is, it’s Star Trek.

I would say so, based on the evidence. One of the first people to report being abducted by aliens was a Brazilian farmer named Antonia Vilas Boas, in 1957. At the time, you can imagine how outlandish such a story would have seemed. Boas was just a normal farmer guy.. and he maintained his story throughout his life.In the US, Betty and Barney hill, in the 1960s, reported their famous incident, and Betty Hill has discussed her encounter in recent years. You can find it on Youtube. They were both researched by a well known psychologist, who concluded that something real happened to them.The Travis Walton case, from 1977 (Arizona) is very compelling because a total of seven guys, loggers, all witnessed the UFO, but Travis was the only one to leave the truck to check out the UFO. You can search for Travis on youtube and find his testimony. In short, a beam struck Travis, the six other guys freaked out and fled the scene, came back in 15 minutes, and Travis was gone. The law thought the men had killed Travis and made up the UFO story as an excuse, but five days later, Travis was dropped off on a highway. Travis only remembers one hour of the five days he was gone. The six other men have stuck by their story since 1977.Four art students were abducted while fishing in Maine, in 1976… that’s known as the Allagash incident, and you can search it on youtube to hear the men’s stories. The Allagash story is typical - the guys saw the UFO, their last memory was being chased, and then they fell asleep by a campfire. They each started having nightmares of aliens, and they realized that they were all experiencing the same dream. They went under hypnosis and recalled what had happened. This is very common - the erasing of memory for a period of time, and is what makes this phenomenon complex and difficult to study.Whitley Streiber wrote this book in the 1980s called Communion documenting his experiences. I must confess - I thought his claim was ridiculous back then. Anyway, his book drew a lot of attention and prompted other people to come forward.The phenomenon has been studied seriously by a number of people. Bud Hopkins was a pioneer in the field - he was a New York artist who learned to do hypnosis. He was the first guy to realize that all of these alleged abductees, most of whom were otherwise normal people, had very similar claims.The most credentialed and respected person to study alien abductions was Harvard Professor of Psychology John Mack, who passed away in 2011. Because he was from HARVARD, John Mack’s interest in the subject caused a lot of scandal at Harvard… some people wanted him to leave Harvard, but Mack was brave and said, look, I’ve studied hundreds of these people, who are otherwise sane, who have no psychological disorders, and they describe their experiences as a person who has experienced something real describes them. Mack, like Hopkins, noted the similarity of experiences.David Jacobs, at Temple University in Floriday, is another professor who has taken the subject seriously. Both Mack and Temple believed that these abductions were real. Jacobs believed it was part of an organized program whose goal was not clear, but everyone talks about aliens’ interest in human reproduction… hybrids… etc…Some of the most compelling cases involve multiple abductees who remember seeing each other in an alien craft. This increases the credibility, of course. One such incident was the Coronado Hotel abduction in like 1992, during a UFO conference at the hotel. Several people were abducted, and a woman recently published a book about the incident, interviewing everyone who was there. An interesting note is that Bill Clinton was also present at the hotel during the conference - he was not part of the conference of course.You can check out the evidence and authors yourself to come to your own conclusions.

I’ve read Miss Murphy’s statement about how there was no coordination with the White House in regards to delaying the transition, but I don’t buy it. Even if it was never done officially, an expectation had to have been put out there. She held off through all these court cases and only decided to do the ascertainment after the Michigan domino had fallen, and Trump was right alongside her to tweet that he was in support of her in her role. He knew it was coming because there had been communication entire time.The word around the campfire is that Trump realized how ridiculous the media circuses that people like Giuliani were putting on in his press conferences were making him look combined with having Michigan certify the election was what it ultimately clinched the decision to go forth with the transition.Love him or hate him, Donald Trump is a person who is very aware of how much appearances matter. The bullshit coming out of those press conferences pissed him off, and was what got Sidney Powell kicked off officially from the roster. When Tucker Carlson himself comes out and repudiates her claims and how he asked for any sort of evidence and she rebuffed him, it was a wrap for her.Reportedly, only Giuliani was in favor and Trumps inner sanctum of allowing the transition to go through. Everybody else was in favor, but Giuliani wanted him to hold off longer, which makes sense because Giuliani is sapping the campaign for thousands of dollars a day to go out there it look like an idiot.
