They would've had to base off of another orbiting body to create a Calendar.The lunar tides would never exist.Solar/Lunar eclipses would never exist at all.The absence of reflected light from the sun during the night by the moon would've allowed the study of stars easier, because of a darker night sky.Adding to the first point, the earth would be rotating very fast. This causes extreme storms and raging seas. We wouldn't want that, would we?The earth could wobble on its axis, creating irregular weather patterns, as the tilt of the earth is what is responsible for seasons.Evolution of species would've taken a different route. There would be faster winds, because the earth would be rotating very very fast. Because of this, taller animals and trees (especially) could not have survived. Hence, the shorter organisms, would be preferred genetically. Which means, if humans ever does evolve, they would be shorter.Also, the sea will most probably have organisms in its deepest parts, and not near the surface.Reduced number of Myths, folklore, poems on the moon.The word "Lunatic" would make no sense at all. [It won't exist in the first place]The moon was an inspiration for space exploration. If it never existed in our time, we would never have been to space. Or most probably, it would've been greatly delayed.The moon suddenly disappeared/was destroyed.Tides would no longer occur.The problem of reduction of day length is solved. The earth's rotation speed won't go down easily.The earth would start wobbling and eventaully we will experience irregular seasons and weather.The satellites orbiting the moon will crash back to earth.Nights would become very very dark. [Ignore light pollution]Werewolves would be irritated."You're the moon of my life", would be nonsense.Everyone will go crazy, trying to make sense of the abrupt disappearence of the moon. This news would make the topic of the front page of every newspaper in the world for weeks (The Times Of India would still have a big fat Ad in the first page though).Conspiracy theories about NASA's involvement in the disappearence would surface.If the moon was destroyed by an asteroid, depending on the collision conditions, the life on earth could be wiped off

We subject girls and women to scrutiny, and compel them to scrutinize themselves over and over. This question would seem to fit that mold.Many women fight every day to advance social, scientific, and technological frontiers, to benefit humankind many generations into the future. They're still made to feel they're either a distraction to the men alongside them, or not prettifying the environs enough to earn their keep. Hip-hop is not the problem.Should we just give the music industry a pass?Don't give a pass to anything — but go upstream. Trace it back to the source. Who's funding the creation of certain content, and who's greenlighting these projects? Write to them to complain. Publish your letters online and share them as widely as possible.Most of the entertainment and advertising is still aimed at the 18-34 male consumer. Talk to your friends about boycotting the stuff you see as blatant. Talk to your guy friends next time they leer at scantily-clad girls, or say something categorical like "girls are so XYZ". Get to know your female friends and let them know you value their intellect, their views, the way they push back against a world that doesn't really want them to be more than objects.The music hasn't created the objectified woman. Women have been objectified for millennia. One person can't stem the tide, but one person can make the men in his life less casually sexist, and the women in his life more appreciated for who they are.
