The record was given to me by a physicist that was a fellow at The Institute Of Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey. I was 15 years old and I spent countless hours there asking endless streams of questions, perhaps mostly on the Grand Unification Theories of one of my life long heroes, Albert Einstein, also a fellow at the Institute for the last decades of his life. The physicist that gave me this record and just about everyone there I spoke to would rather speak about the mind and how it perceives rather then what I thought was more important: hard Science, just the facts.I humored them but I just did not understand why they told me that mind was more important then the grand achievement of the mind: Science. They would tell me that the only true instrument in the universe is the mind, it is the only thing that exists. Through this tool we observe a presentiment of what we are convinced is reality. But I faithfully stopped by the Firestone Library at Princeton University and devoured the reading lists they always offered me. Not a single book on physics or science for that matter. By the time I got the record, I did not really know what to make of it, “get rich quick schemes?”.Something about Napoleon’s voice, made it seem like it came from another time and place- another epoch, it touched me. That night I could not sleep and it would be days before I could be driven to the Institute by my best friend’s dad, who worked there. Although on the surface the subject seemed to be about earning piles of money, that was just a carnival trick to pass along a far deeper concept.I confronted the physicist that gave me the record and pelted him with more questions then he had the bandwidth to answer. A selection bias? I don’t know.I think it is a spectacular idea to repurpose Think And Grow Rich in a modern setting. I would urge the writers to dig deeper then just piles of money. One is known as “synthetic imagination," and the other as "creative imagination."SYNTHETIC IMAGINATION:-- Through this faculty, one may arrange old concepts, ideas, or plans into new combinations. This faculty creates nothing. It merely works with the material of experience, education, and observation with which it is fed. It is the faculty used most by the inventor, with the exception of the who draws upon the creative imagination, when he cannot solve his problem through synthetic imagination.CREATIVE IMAGINATION:-- Through the faculty of creative imagination, the finite mind of man has direct communication with Infinite Intelligence.
