I brought Helmet compulsory rule in my college .So this happened during my 2nd year of my college. After meeting with a accident I went to get special permission for my internals exclusively for me .The conversation between me and my principal went like belowMe: May I come in sir?Him: Yes.Me: (explained all the stuff)Him: Parents are the ones to to blame not you. They buy you whatever you ask.Me: Sorry, sir! Will look after myself here afterHim: (signs the form)Me: (was about to leave, but one thing) Sir?Him: YesMe: The reason I am alive today is because of my helmet. Had it not been there my face wouldn't be the same (shows him the broken visor). Please take me as an example and can you make a helmet mandatory rule in our college? (told as rehearsed)Him: (thinks for a minute) Ok, will do. (Meanwhile he signals our college's editor) Please address him all your experience you faced.The very next day the rule came into amendment and there was a article to spread awareness to which I demanded anonymity.From that day the whole college was wearing helmet and no one knew about this except me and my Principal.The worst part is my friends were cursing the management and the man behind this idea, to which I nodded along with, the whole time I was there.Edit: Wow! Pedra Branca was originally within the territory of the Johor Riau Sultanate but there were a lot of historical tos and fros regarding jurisdiction. To fully understand the situation, one has to look at the history of Pedra Branca. Various documents have been submitted regarding jurisdiction and these are the generally accepted salient facts:The Governor of Straits Settlements, William Butterworth wrote to the Sultan of Johor and the Sultan favoured the proposal to build a lighthouse on the island. The letters have not been found but favourable replies have been found;Monies were raised for the lighthouse but when there was a shortfall, a tax was imposed on ships coming into port at Singapore to pay for the lighthouse on the island;The East India Company claimed the Horsburgh lighthouse, and when Singapore became a Crown Colony, jurisdiction of the lighthouse and island passed to Singapore;In 1946, the Colonial Secretary of Singapore wrote to the Sultan of Johor trying to cement the jurisdiction of Pedra Branca. The Acting State Secretary of Johor replied: ”the Johore Government does not claim ownership of Pedra Branca”;Pedra Branca, Singapore - Wikipediain 1959,in an official publication regarding meteorological information collected on Pedra Branca, Malaya listed Horsburgh Lighthouse as a “Singapore” station. This was again described in the same way in a joint Malaysian and Singapore publication in 1966;In 1962, 1965, 1970, 1974 and 1975, the island was indicated with the word "(SINGAPORE)" or "(SINGAPURA)" under it by the Malayan and Malaysian Surveyor General and Director of General Mapping; andIn 1979, the Director of National Mapping of Malaysia published a map entitled Territorial Waters and Continental Shelf Boundaries of Malaysia showing Pedra Branca to be within its territorial waters. Singapore rejected this claim in a diplomatic note of 14 February 1980 and asked for the map to be corrected. The dispute was not resolved and the case was brought to the ICJ for arbitration.Now for the legal explanation in simple language.Although Pedra Branca had originally been under the jurisdiction of the Sultanate of Johor, the Sultanate allowed the entity governing Singapore to build the lighthouse, manage/operate it exclusively through the years. The Sultanate also confirmed through various letters that the Sultanate of Johor did not claim ownership of Pedra Branca (see point 4 above).There is a principle of estoppel in equity law which states that if you allow someone else to take possession and exclusively manage your territory, you are estopped from enforcing your claim later on. If Malaysia had registered her disagreement (even though Malaysia could not enforce her claim when the East India Company was in charge of Singapore), then Malaysia’s claim would have had merit. But the fact that Malaysia had done no such thing through the years, and also confirmed in her correspondence with Singapore that she accepted Singapore jurisdiction over Pedra Branca. It would now be hard to see any merit in Malaysia’s modern claims.In international law, the only undisputable claim to territory is the exclusive management and operations test. If your country can show an unbroken line of exclusively managing and operating a territory without any claim from others during that time, any action brought under international law later would still give you jurisdiction.Edit: any decision by the ICJ has a ten year period by which any of the claimants can reopen the case if new evidence is found. Malaysia has recently asked to reopen the case with the ICJ pursuant to this. He felt he needed some skanky prostitute sex to really make him truly happy.Maybe perfection is a phantom that we endlessly chase because chasing it kept our ancestors alive in a time and place where a scratch on the hand could mean death.You know why people hate the USA?It’s because they want the USA to be a utopia. A calm, snooty, boring, safe utopia. They sense that it COULD be a utopia, but the people there just refuse to go along with it.Instead, the USA is a hilarious, dangerous zoo. A huge, insane, hog-stomping zoo of a country.Since human beings are obsessed with perfection, instead of looking at the USA as being about as good as a pack of dangerous, violent savages can manage, they compare it to a perfect utopia that nobody will ever be able to achieve, and that nobody will ever actually want to live in.Maybe this the best we can do. Maybe we’re all too savage to make a utopia.Maybe a Cheerful and Dangerous Zoo Empire where people have freedom of speech is the best thing that we savages can manage.Guess what happens to a human brain when it is deprived of feedback?It stops functioning properly and goes insane.If they put you into a special tank that cuts off all sensory input, you will temporarily go insane and hallucinate, just like you took a big dose of LSD.There are all kinds of sensory deprivation tanks in the world, where your brain does not have enough feedback to maintain sanity.Some of them look like this:In this particular sensory deprivation tank, you get told:That there is a mysterious, magical conspiracy called “the white patriarchy.”That everything you don’t like is the result of this conspiracy.That you are incredibly fragile and susceptible to oppression.That oppression comes in all sorts of tiny microscopic ways that are hard to identify.And that you’ll never be happy until this horrible problem is solved.This is Gender Studies.Vicious tribal aggression and magical thinking that will save us from THE OTHERS, the dangerous white heterosexual male foes who must be destroyed! Only then!Utopia awaits!Gender studies professors write books about how they’re oppressed by an astounding variety of stuff.For example, this gender studies professor wrote a book of uranium-dense gender studies jargon. I am a beginner in the field of Gender Studies Oppression-Speak, but it appears that the book examines the terrifying phenomenon of being oppressed by other gender studies professors.This is the description of the book, obviously written by the author:“In this groundbreaking book, Sina Kramer uses the framework of constitutive exclusion to describe the phenomenon of internal exclusion -- exclusions that occur within a political body.
