PDF Editor FAQ
Why would somebody ask a pharmacy for a different brand generic and why would the pharmacy honor that request?
That is an excellent question. Generic drugs and brand versions of a drug are required to contain the same amount of active ingredient and bioequivalence (think absorption) needs to be the same. Some variation may exist, but there may also be minor variance in the drug content of dosage forms within a lot from the same manufacturer. The FDA does not require the non-active ingredients to be the same. This includes, dyes, fillers, binders and lubricants.A pharmacy has a primary obligation to the patient. Someone may request a particular brand of generic drug due to the presence of a dye or filler, such as FDC yellow #5 (tartrazine) or lactose in other generic brands. Sensitivity to both these substances is well recognized. Drug information sources, such as Gold Standard Clinical Pharmacology, list the inert ingredients in each generic brand. This can be used to avoid exposing a sensitive individual to an undesired drug component.Pharmacies have an obligation to accommodate such a request.
What is your thoughts about Bajirao Peshwa?
Thanks for the request !Though I have yet to read the full story of his life, I have read substantially about him since I watched the movie Bajirao Mastani (2015) and my views on him , therefore, may be at variance with those of people who have had the opportunity to read about this great man’s life in more detail. Also, since you have asked me about my opinion on him, I shall restrict my answer to an opinion and not get into writing down a brief biography of the Peshwa. So here goes -He was a trailblazerHow many people in 1720 could have thought that it was the right time to reclaim India through an attack or attacks on a Mughal Empire which was too busy in its own in-fighting to fight off external threats? How many Maratha rulers or members of the Maratha nobility of that time were thinking about fighting the Mughals at all? Only one man, the twenty-year-old Peshwa who would go on to fight- and defeat- not only the Mughals, but also the Nizam of Hyderabad, the Portuguese, and every other major or minor ruler of that time. I think that only a real trailblazer, a visionary who thought years ahead of his time, could have achieved so much success in such a limited time period. True, he wasn’t the kind of a man which Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was - a capable military leader as well as a social reformer - but that’s another debate.2. He knew no fearHe fought 41 battles in a military career that lasted less than 20 years and won all of them. Many of his victories, such as the one in the Battle of Palkhed (1728) came against rulers who were leading decisively larger armies and carrying several times more supplies than his forces were. In fact, as we know from some of the letters preserved from his time, he was constantly hard-pressed for funds, but even such issues could not hold him back for pursuing his campaigns. Who but a fearless man would have taken on larger armies in unfamiliar terrains? And who but a warrior possessing infectious levels of patience and confidence about his own capabilities could have inspired hundreds of thousands of soldiers to join him on his campaigns?3. He was a gifted strategist and a very intelligent manWinning more than two battles a year, including even those against enemies such as the Portuguese with whose tactics he wasn’t familiar, can only mean that the victor of all these battles was a gifted military strategist who was capable of forming quick and correct judgments about the enemy army’s warfare strategies, had mastered on-the-spot improvisation and constantly kept up with the latest developments in the technology of his time.4. He was brave not only on the battlefield but also off itSure, he wasn’t the most devoted husband, or else he’d never have had an affair outside of his marriage. But the fact that he had the courage to come out in the open about his relationship with Mastanibai, tell the orthodox society of his time that he considered his wife Kashibai and Mastanibai to be of equal value to him and that Shamsher Bahadur Khan was as much a legitimate heir of his as were his sons with Kashibai all show how much inner strength he had to go against the direction in which the winds were blowing back then.5. He was the unifier the Maratha Empire neededToo many Maratha generals, commanders and local leaders during his time were busy fighting among themselves to protect their own interests, which was acting to the larger detriment of the Maratha Empire. It was Peshwa Bajirao who finally managed to bring together warring factions, suppress rebellions and channel all their collective competencies in one direction.6. He could have changed Indian history foreverHe was just 40 when he died. With all his expertise on the battlefield and off it, just imagine what all he could’ve achieved if only he had more time! I am confident that our history, geography and culture would have been entirely different if he had lived to the age of 90 like the Mughal Shehenshah Aurangzeb did.
Do psychopaths, ASPD and Cluster B individuals appreciate and value people who understand and accept their condition and if so, would it entail a long-term platonic relationship of respect and reduced manipulation tactics?
I indeed appreciate those who are able to disregard the cultural and societal stigma and see the real truth about psychopathy. When I encounter such individuals, I can presume that they are open-minded and willing to learn about new things, no matter how dangerous, inappropriate or indecent these things appear to be. Many psychopaths claim that wearing a mask is difficult, but I personally have little problems with at least putting on a minor facade to avoid showing my true face to others. As such, it is not an issue to wear a mask, but it is most certainly relieving and convenient when I can drop the shields at least by a bit. Very rarely have I met people in whose presence I could completely unmask, and all of them either had ASPD or other forms of variance from neurotypicality.I never intend to fully drop the mask in the company of neurotypicals. Many have requested this of me, but I have only slightly tuned it down to give them a taste of what they desired. Even licensed professionals would get absolutely terrified upon encountering a psychopath in savage mode. Having said that, when others have a general understanding of psychopathy or at the very least a desire to learn more about it I am able to act more naturally, therefore I respect their open-mindedness, tolerance and understanding. I am more prone to making friendships with such people or adding them to the inner circle.I am willing to introduce anybody whom I deem worth my time to the inner circle. It can be a platonic or otherwise relationship, all that I really care about is that they match or surpass my level of investment. I have some close companions who know exactly zero about my condition, and I never intend to share such information to them. This is because we have a different type of a relationship which revolves around different matters. Although I’d say that among my interests, psychology and discussions involving personality disorders top all other topics of appeal, I still have secondary interests which have little to do with my secret world. It is actually very surprising how easily intelligent people pick up on lies and manipulation. Although almost all psychopaths are able to carry out deceit and deception when it suits them, I have noticed a pattern of undesirable long-term consequences which closely follow attempts at manipulation. If somebody does know that I’m a psychopath, then they will put their shields up and rightfully expect manipulation coming their way. As such, I prefer to use deception only when absolutely necessary and most certainly not on my inner circle. Trust is one of the most desirable qualities in people, I surely don’t want to break it. I would indeed not only reduce but minimize manipulation tactics when with people who are aware of my condition.
