During the New Republic, there's a popular video game series featuring Imperial loyaliats abd historical figures in minor roles. It spins off into a trilogy of movies. The Sequel Trilogy is the movies of the Star Wars version of Red Faction.All of Star Wars is Ewok Oral History. Wicket’s oral history! The stuff that happened on Endor is pretty accurate, but it gets sketchier the further we go away in space or time. And wicket might have made out peopke to be more tgan ther really were. The OT is pretty reliable because the Ewoks met all the Rebel heroes and had Imperial prisoners to interrogate too, and by extension had a bit of a picture of the PT too, with a bit more liberties taken. Same with Rogue One and Solo. The Ewoks get a few glimpses of the Galaxy in the 34 years between ROTJ and Rise of Skywalker. They have the Towaris, and the Marauders, and various visitors to the Death Star wreckage. And then a Star Destroyer is seen getting wrecked in Endor’s skies. So for the Sequel Trilogy, Wicket was mostly making stuff up whole cloth to please his nagging Grandchildren. The only truly canon parts of Star Wars are Return Of The Jedi, Caravan Of Courage, Battle For Endor, and a little bit of Rise Of Skywalker.
