PDF Editor FAQ
What is the procedure to nominate someone to vote on my behalf (proxy voting), if I will not be available at my constituency for voting?
hi buddy...No, under normal circumstances, the person whose name is enrolled in the voter list alone can cast his/her vote. Service voters are exceptions. They can either choose to cast their vote through proxy or through postal ballot papers.Such service voters who opt to vote through proxy, have been categorised as “ classified service voters ” (CSVs). The CSVs are required to appoint a person who is a resident of the area covered by the constituency concerned as his proxy. The appointment is to be made in Form 13F, newly inserted. An appointment once made will be valid for all future elections so long as the person making the appointment continues to be a service voter or till the appointment is revoked or when the proxy dies. The CSV has the option to revoke the appointment and appoint a new proxy on the death of the earlier proxy or for other reasons. Such revocation of appointment is to be done in the newly inserted Form 13Ghope this answers your query.
What is meant by “the kingdom of heaven is within us”? Are there any Bible scriptures that speak about the Kingdom of Heaven being within us?
So that you know, this response is still in draft as I’m currently editing it. Thought I’d at least get something out there - better out than in I always say!!! 😜OK, a good place to understand the ‘Kingdom of God being within us’ is to have a look at Jesus Himself introducing the concept of the ‘kingdom of God’ in Mark 4:11 where he says, “… Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:”, Mark 4:11.Isn’t this interesting? Something that He’ll explain to His disciples, but also something he was going to intentionally hide from the religious leaders of the day. Why you may ask, well Jesus goes on in the next verse to explain why He is being coy the way He is when He says, “That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.”, Mark 4:12.Regardless as to why Jesus was being coy, something we need to understand is that it wasn’t going to be a straightforward concept from the get go - but He also shrouded term in light of it also being a ‘mystery’, as per Mark 4:11 above. Now the concept of “the mystery” in the New Testament (NT) is an interesting study in and of itself. To understand it correctly, we need to once again look at things from a very high level to grasps what it is that God is doing now - as opposed to what was taught or what occurred in the Old Testament (OT).This ‘mystery’ is further developed by Paul in Romans 11 when he makes reference to the ‘mystery’ in verse 25 where he says, “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.”. And when it comes to Romans 11, Paul is comparing the time God spent developing the nation of Israel to what He was now doing somewhat differently. This time period is known as the ‘time of the Gentiles’, or also the ‘Church age’ - two very distinct periods of time as far as God is concerned. The purpose of these two distinct entities (Israel and the Church) is spelt out within the story of Jesus being the Good Shepherd in John 10. The specific verse I’d like for us to look at is, “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.”, John 10:16. This one fold is that which Jesus takes with Him into the millennial kingdom which will be ushered in post the coming Tribulation. But until the Tribulation period cuts in (which will begin when a treaty of peace is signed with the nation of Israel), God will continue welcoming anyone who would desire to have a relationship with Him. As the apostle John said right at the end of the book of Revelation, “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”, Revelation 22:17. The door is open to all - for the moment… 😉Having said the above (and now we go high level), as there are seven unique time periods that have been revealed in the Bible. The first time period:There is the time when it was just God the Father, with God the Son and God the Spirit eternally in existence - before even time commenced. Then, even ‘nothing’ didn’t exist… 😆The second time period:This is the when God creates time, and everything else for that matter. When He finally got to behold everything He created, he appropriately said “it was exceedingly good”, Genesis 1:31. How long this time was we have no idea - but I can’t imagine it to have been too long, as one would imagine Eve could have potential conceived back then with Adam, but there’s no record of that. So no, not too long me thinks - probably only days if that. 😏The third time period:This is time (4004 - 1921 BC) immediately after the fall when God deals with man individually - one-on-one, which continues like that for the first 2000 years of history. This is where God establishes the principle for man that if he wants to have a relationship with God, then all man has to do is to bring to God an acceptable offering for his sinful condition which he inherited from Adam. I like to refer to this as an ISBSO - which is an Innocent Substitutionary Blood Sacrifice Offering, and in this case, it is in the form of a spotless lamb. We see this aspect of man’s relationship with God as being consistent throughout all of history. This is seen at the very beginning of this time period in Genesis 4:1–7 where we have the story of Cain and Abel, and where God tells the whole world, “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?”, Genesis 4:7a. Now we all know that the doing well here is to bring the correct offering to God, which in this instance happens to be an ISBSO in the form of a spotless lamb. Not hard - this is the only thing God required of man for man to be accepted by God.This is also seen in the story of Job where he amazingly had such faith that he would rise “…up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all [his children]: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.”, Job 1:5. Amazing. Such faith to even make offerings for your children to make sure they were covered (whether his offerings for his children have any merit with God is not stated), but to have such faith and love for his family and his God, I am in awe!!!The fourth time period:This is the period (1921 BC to 32 AD) when God selects a family to enter into so that He could sacrifice Himself for His creation so that He could actually have a mutually willing relationship with His creation - something He’s been hankering to do since the day He created everything. To do this, He selects a pagan by the name of Abraham (so it wasn’t from a Godly family like Job which is interesting). This period also runs for 2000 years with God still requiring man to bring God an ISBSO in the form of a spotless lamb; or if you were really poor, you could bring him 1.2kg of fine flour. Regardless, man being accepted by God was still the same - believe in your offering, have faith in the offering that God has instructed you to bring. But God confining Himself to a single family resulted in a number of things, that resulted in this particular family becoming very special and unique to God, and as such, creating some unique nuances:There was a priesthood established that I guess just helped with and aided the development of the religious belief that was peculiar to this family. It was a system developed for the nation to provide offerings to God in accordance with the way God had designed from day dot - and in doing so, created an ordered structure of national worship as a result.Something else that we see during this period, but was also prevalent in the preceding two millennia is that God could only ‘come upon man’ back then. He was not able to indwell them like He can today - something which I may be more of a buzz to Him than to us - but that is because we lack faith. Regardless, in the same way that a demon is unable to possess a Christian today, is the same way that God was not able to indwell believers today. So herein is where we begin to understand concept of the kingdom of God, this mystery as it were, something that hadn’t been made known to any man (not even Adam) prior to Jesus Christ walking amongst us as one of us. It is this ‘Kingdom of God’ concept that caused quite a few curlies for many a century for many people, but I firmly believe that this is to what Jesus was referring when mentioned ‘the mystery of the Kingdom of God’.This time period kicked off in 1921 BC and continued all the way up to Palm Sunday of 6 April 32 AD, when Jesus officially presented Himself as the Jewish Messiah, their Christ. The one that John the Baptist (who came in the spirit of Elijah) said he was not worthy to unloose his shoes - and declared Jesus to be the Son of God John 1:34. BTW, the apostle John should know as he was there as was one of the two disciples of John the Baptist who left John to follow Jesus (John 1:37).The Jewish people were awaiting their messiah - the only problem for them is they didn’t realise their messiah was also going to be God the Son. They’re scriptures didn’t give them any hints and as such, may have confused them a little.Regardless, they were told when their messiah would present Himself way back around 500 BC when Daniel the prophet said, “Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be [173,880 days]: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.“, Daniel 9:25. The command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem inclusive of the wall occurs in Nehemiah 2:1–8, which was the 20th Year of Artaxerxes reign (who came to power in 465 BC) and with the month being Nisan, this would place us in March of 445 BC. There doesn’t appear to be a record of the exact day that this commandment was made (although I have seen with my own eyes an extract from the Encyclopedia Britannica under information pertaining to Artaxerxes that the date was in fact 14th March 445 BC). For argument’s sake, let’s say that’s correct. Then what occurred 173,880 days after 14 March 445 BC? It ends up being the 6th April 32 AD when using the Jewish 360 day prophetical year as the basis of the calculation. So what was 6 April 32 AD? Palm Sunday - the only day Jesus ever officially presented Himself as the Jewish Messiah. What does Daniel then say after the ‘Messiah the Prince’ has presented Himself? He says that the Messiah shall “…be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.”, Daniel 9:26.So what did Jesus happen to say on Sunday 6 April 32 AD as He was looking over the city of Jerusalem before sitting upon the foel of an ass that had never been ridden upon? He said, “… If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. [43] For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, [44] And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.”, Luke 19:42-44. The destruction of the Jewish temple and the ransacking of Jerusalem in 70 AD under the Roman general Titus leaves the temple precinct with not “one stone upon another” - thus fulfilling both Daniel and Jesus’ prophecies at once.As Jesus said in Luke 19:42, ‘now they are hid from your eyes’ - Israel is put on the shelf as it were, and the time of the Gentiles now takes over. But before this time period officially end, some interesting happens at Jesus’ crucifixion. The scriptures state that after Jesus died in verse 50 of Mathew 27, and the veil of the temple was rent from top to bottom (some 10m high and 15cm thick) with there also being an earth quake occurring in verse 51, it then says in verse 52 that, “…the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, [53] And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.”. It is believe that this is the first instance of the ‘first resurrection’ to occur within scripture where all OT saints who looked forward in faith to what God would do in Jesus were then reunited in their glorified bodies, and went into the city to be a witness for God before united again with the Lord in heaven (possibly when Jesus, “…ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.”, Ephesians 4:8.The fifth time period:This time period (32 AD to 2020) commences with Jesus’ death where “…the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.”, Mark 15:38. This earmarked a significant change with respect to how God was now going to engage and interact with man. Some of those changes being:Man no longer having to bring God an ISBSO in the form of a spotless lamb. All man now had to do (as Jesus Christ himself said “… This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”, John 6:29) is to believe that when Jesus Christ hung on that cross 2000 years ago, that He not only paid for Adam’s sin, but that He paid for my own personal sinful condition as well - the thing that separates me from God.Prior to this point in time, God was unable to indwell people before His Son had actually paid Adam’s debt - and as such, the debt of everyone who has ever lived, if they so choose. But if and when a person does choose to bring to God the offering of His Son as the ONLY reason that person could ever have had a relationship with God - I.E., there’s nothing that we can do that provides any assistance to our plight. When that occurs, that active belief and choice in a person, then God is then allowed by and accordance with His own integrity and character, to indwell that person. This is something God has been waiting 4000 years to enjoy! Here is where God finally gets to start enjoying His creation. The real fruit of His labour of love by being with (and in) His creation in a mutually willing relationship. Pretty simple, huh? This is in fact “the mystery of the Kingdom of God” that Jesus was referring to in Mark 4:11.The concept of the ‘mystery’ is further elaborated on in the NT quite clearly by Paul when he says, “For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, [2] If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: [3] How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, [4] Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) [5] Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; [6] That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:”, Ephesians 3:1-6. He also follows these thoughts up with, “Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; [26] Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: [27] To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”, Colossians 1:25-27. These verses clearly articulate that God has entered a completely different phase to what He was doing with Israel. This is seen as follows:He twice highlights the concept of a ‘dispensation of God’, which is a period of time where things will be characterised by a unique set of qualities that would set it apart from other time periods. He also states clearly that this specific and peculiar time period was something that God had ‘hidden from man’ since day dot - something that had not been previously revealed. He also goes on to say that ‘it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit’. So we have something new occurring. The first of these new occurrences is that ‘the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body’ as that of the children of Israel, which is where we will see the fulfilment of Jesus’ desire in John 10:16 of bring the two sheepfolds into one.The second of these, and for me, the more important one is where God can now reside within man, where Paul says, “Christ in you, the hope of glory”. Here in is your Kingdom of God - it is God residing within man. From the day, the instant we believe in Jesus Christ, scriptures says we are “…sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, [14] Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”, Ephesians 1:13-14. The word ‘earnest’ here means ‘downpayment’ or ‘deposit’ - it is something that God gives us as now, being His children and in His family. This is His Kingdom, and that is Jesus living in us - the hope of glory! This fifth time period will continue up until we enter the coming Tribulation period that is going to try the world, where Jesus Himself said, “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.…except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.”, Matthew 24:21f. Luckily, we see that the days are shortened in the book of Revelation where God says, “…when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.”, Revelation 10:4.With respect to the coming seven year Tribulation period which was foreshadowed by Jesus, it would not be considered as ‘another high level time period it its own right’, as it would just be an extension of the fourth time period where God goes back to working with his peculiar people, Israel. Now there are a few things that highlight this future change that will take us from the fifth time period of God back to His fourth time period being that of His specific dealings with the nation of Israel - as He has not finished their story yet:To completely understand Israel’s story, we need to go back to Daniel’s 70 week (176,400 days) prophecy as this prophecy was meant to complete all things for Israel. Have a look at what Daniel 9:24 says, “[176,400 days] are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.” With respect to this verse, we see six things that get accomplished at the completion of this prophecy. Now three of those things have already been fulfilled, but three are yet to be fulfilled:The finishing of the transgression, the making an ends of sins, and the making of reconciliation for iniquity were all all completed at Jesus’ death. The bringing in of everlasting righteousness, the sealing up the vision and prophecy, as well as the anointing of the most Holy Place (the Holy of Holies in the temple - yet to be completed as per 2 Thessalonians 2:4) has not as yet occured. So we’ve seen that the envisage outcomes of the prophecy have not as yet been completed, there are still things the need to be achieved before this prophecy can be completed. We’ve seen Jesus say that because of the Jews missing the time of their visitation, that the peace that belonged unto them is now going to be ‘hid from their eyes’. Jesus dies and usher’s in a new time called the Time of the Gentiles, but when God’s satisfied that this time period has gone on long enough (which I believe we are right on the fringe of it now), He will then revert back to His long lost, but very much loved Nation of Israel where He will bring journey to a glorious end. This time period, the last 7 years of Daniel’s 70 week prophecy are the same as what we call the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21), or the nation of Israel calls, ‘the Time of Jacob’s Trouble’ (Jeremiah 30:7), and it’s also the time where we see the battle of Gog and Magog of Ezekiel 38 play out. So what does the last verse of Daniel’s 70 Week prophecy actually say? “And he [the antichrist] shall confirm the covenant with many [nation of Israel] for [2,520 days]: and in the midst of [2,520 days] he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”, Daniel 9:27. So there we see the actual event that returns us back to the fourth time period from our current time period. So we’ve seen what happens that will take us back to the fourth time period (dealing with Israel), but how do we see the ‘Time of the Gentiles’, or the ‘Church era’ (fifth time period) coming to a close? Now I don’t want to go to deep here, so am just going to highlight a few components or characteristics that show forth the change back to the fourth time periodThe apostles spoke of a future time coming where it is envisaged that Jesus Christ will return with all Christians, or shall we say, those from the fifth time period where their bodies will be resurrected and united with their soul and spirits - “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. [15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. [16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:”, 1 Thessalonians 4:14-16.Here we see the second instance of the ‘first resurrection’ for all the ‘Church era’ believers who have died where it specifically says, ‘the dead in Christ shall rise first’. An interesting concept for the ‘Church era’ saints is a little comment made by Jesus to the Philadelphian church in Revelation 3:10 where He says, “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”. Thus why we see the Church (NT believers in God) disappearing from the earth before the actual Tribulation period commences. The scripture goes on to say, “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”, 1 Thessalonians 4:17. Now this transition of people living being caught up into the air with the Lord, isn’t only mentioned here:Jesus refers to it in Luke 17:34–37 where He says, “I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. [35] Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. [36] Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. [37] And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.”. Here you will notice:There are two people referenced here - one is taken, one is left. When Jesus is asked where they’ll be taken, He says where ‘the eagles be gathered together’ - in the air!It also shows a 24 hour event (proving earth was round) when He says, ‘in that night, two in bed’, then it says, ‘two men in the field’ (assumed to be working), therefore daytime. This one event takes people in the night time as well as the day time at the same time. This event is also mentioned by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:50-53, “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. [51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. [53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”. Here we have some amazing things revealed to us:Firstly is that our bodies are not fit in their current condition to make the transition into eternity, and as such, need to be ‘changed’. They were fallen bodies when we were born, and they were always going to die - either be changed or die. With respect to this, it is interesting to note that in the Revelation of John, he mentions two witnesses for Him that would be ultimately killed (Revelation 11:3–7). You should also note here that the time for them to be able to witness is exactly 1,260 days - exactly half of the duration of the Tribulation period referenced in Daniel 9:27.The two witnesses for God, who could they be? God’s word says, “…it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”, Hebrews 9:27. So man can only die once, and yet we have two witnesses that seem to know all about God also dieing. From where did they come? Interesting to note that there are two people in scripture who have not as yet died. The first is Enoch where the scripture states, “And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.”, Genesis 5:24. Everyone else around him dies, but Enoch is treated differently. Then there is Elijah where in 2 Kings 2:11 he was walking along with Elisha after dividing the waters of a river like Moses and “…behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.”. Two Godly men who have never tasted of death - now, I wonder why these two haven’t tasted of death or have been changed yet? Here Paul revels yet another mystery (in fact, studying all the uses of the term ‘mystery’ in the NT is a very interesting study! 😉). Here he is saying that not everyone is going to die. That there is a time coming when those people living who have believed in God’s ISBSO are not going to taste death, but shall be ‘changed’ (Oh I so hope I will be like I was in my mid-twenties!!! 🤣). It will occur in and instant where we probably won’t even be aware of it happening when it does. This is where we get our Adam-like bodies to be reunited with our souls that have been sealed sealed by God - and herein is the Kingdom of God consummated within our own beings. We will be in our final eternal state - what we were meant to be. This is the moment when Jesus gets to realise what He part said in John 10:16a, “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring.”. Here, He gathers this special fold which is actually referenced as the Church throughout all of scripture. The rapture is also seen where John in the book of revelation speaks to the seven churches of Rome, which is understood to be the seven periods of church history from 32 AD all the way up until now:The church of Ephesus - meaning ‘desired’, from 32 AD to 100 AD.The church of Smyrna - meaning ‘suffering’, from 100 AD to 313 AD.Courting period between church and state where lines begin to blur, from 312 AD to 380 AD.The church of Pergamos - meaning ‘married’, from 380 AD to 476 ADThe church of Thyatira - meaning ‘sacrifice’, from 590 AD to 2020.The church of Sardis - meaning ‘escaping’ from 1517 AD to 2020.The church of Philadelphia - meaning ‘brotherly love’, from 1700 to 2020.The church of Laodecia - meaning ‘rule of the people’, from 1900 to 2020The first Chapter of Revelation introduces the reader to John being on the Isle of Patmos, where One who appeared in a vision to him in a vision said, ″I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. [17] And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: [18] I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. [19] Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;”, Revelation 1:8 & 17–19.Revelation 2 & 3 deals with the evolution of the church history. Although it was written to seven literal churches around the Asia minor region, the original meanings of the each church name in the order that it has been spoken by Jesus seems overlay perfectly the evolution of the church over the past 2000 years. So one would think that as we go forward into revelation, and what should occur once God has completed the Church era, or shall we say, the Time of the Gentiles, one might think the next step might be what then happens to the church at the end of the church era one might think?Well when we turn the page and go into Revelation 4, we find ourselves in a completely new environment and surroundings. Have a look here at what happens to John, “After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. [2] And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.”, Revelation 4:1f. If that is not a picture type or reference to the rapture, which I actually prefer to call the Transfiguration because that is what actually happens to us when Jesus comes back first time in the air - which I actually like to refer to as ‘the fly by’. 😄 Touchdown doesn’t occur until another seven years after this period.Something else that is crucial to be aware of when all believers who are alive on the earth when Jesus comes in the air and are caught up into heaven, that the restraining power of the Holy Spirit living through the lives of believers is then removed from the earth. We have this event described here, “And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. [7] For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. [8] And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:”, 2 Thessalonians 2:6–8. The only thing that can withhold against is God himself - and in this instance, the ‘He who now constrains the work of iniquity’ is the work of the Holy Spirit in and through the life of those who have come to believe in Jesus Christ’s propitiatory death. When believers are removed from this earth, so is the restraining work of the Holy Spirit which was something completely unique to this time period.Another thing that also cements this change of time period is the way that God has been engaging with man. No longer will believing in Jesus Christ’s death be an option for a person to be accepted by God. As Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 2:10–12, “…because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” People who had a chance to believe in Jesus Christ before the Tribulation will no longer be able to turn to God by believing in Him during the Tribulation - they will have to do as everyone else will in that time and:Do what the two witnesses tell them to do - which will involve a reversion back to the OT way of doing things which is to bring God an ISBSO in the form of a spotless lamb I would assume. This is what occurred in the OT, so I can’t see it being any different as the 7 year Tribulation will just be an extension of God’s fourth time period.Do NOT receive a mark on either of your hands or your forehead which will enable a person to transact business (buy or sell) during the Tribulation (Revelation 13:17). The scripture states very clearly that those who do not receive the mark of the beast will get to reign with Christ for a thousand years. Those who do receive the mark will end up in the eternal lake of fire (Revelation 20:5 cf. 20:13f.) - which is called, the second death. At the end of the Tribulation, the third instance of the first resurrection where all the Saints who did as requested by the two witnesses during the Tribulation period and died, are reunited with their bodies. This final aspect of the third instance of the first resurrection is mentioned:In Matthew 24:29–31, we see Jesus saying with respect to this time “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: [30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. [31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”. The elect here are those who have made it through the tribulation, assumed to include all of the believing dead during the Tribulation. We see In Revelation 7:13, the Tribulation saints in heaven waiting to be reunited with their bodies, “And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? [14] And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”, Revelation 7:13.Later in Revelation 20:4f, the apostle John says, “…I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. [5] But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.”.It is at this point that Jesus now has His two completed folds as He originally envisioned where He can now bring them together where He says, “…there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.”, John 10:16b.We are now at the point that we can then move into the next major high level time period in God’s plan, being the millennial reign of Jesus Christ. The sixth time period:This period of time is commonly referred to as the ‘Millennial reign of Jesus Christ’ where JesusThe seventh time period:Then there’s the ‘
