How do I treat tail bone pain?

An OTC pain reliever to start. Followed with heat and rest for a day, then ice and rest…20 minutes every hour.Massage after the swelling had gone down.Chiropractic, do explain to your Chiro what you're feeling. If none if these simple things help and your pain continues more than a week you need to see a doctor.Try and AVOID SURGERY.I have had 3, L-5/ S-1 surgeries and after 25 plus years still have chronic pain.Try to AVOID LONG TIME USE OF OPIATESI also have 25 plus years of feeling always stoned on opiates and it's not a good feeling. I have been working very hard in decreasing my intake of these drugs and am almost off them. It's very difficult to do. Withdrawal is worse than pain.

If you were age 38 again, what, if anything, would you do differently?

Quit drinking, take up yoga, get on a regular chiropractic program, and curb my food intake sharply. Your metabolism slows down markedly in your 40’s and 50’s and it is damn near impossible to lose the weight when you get there. I don’t have the flexibility or agility I’d like but yoga is slowly helping…wished I’d started years ago. I’d probably also take up Buddhism as well…it’s made such a difference. But then again 38 year old me probably wouldn’t have listened.

Can migraines be effectively treated by chiropractors?

There is no cure for a migrane. Migranes are most effectively treated by medications, herbs and rest but even those treatments have limited effectiveness. Migranes are incredibly difficult because it's a misfiring of electrical signals within the brain. Migranes can be caused by multiple factors. Just to name a few: hormones, blood pressure, coffee, foods, MSG, medications, allergies, sleep issues and many other factors. The reason chiropractic is not a great treatment for migranes is that the primary cause of a migraine comes from within the brain. So that means it's above the spinal vertebrae. So there is nothing to adjust that would effectively stop the migraine. You also need to think that a “true migraine” also can come with an aura, dizziness, vomiting, head pain, weakness, problems with vision, severe pain and sometime problems standing. So some of these problems are in fact contraindications to a chiropractic adjustment. Now if a person has a long history of migraines and they have their regular symptoms, chiropractic can help alleviate some of the secondary issues post migrane. We can adjust the upper cervical spine to reduce neck pain and hopefully help reboot the way the nervous system is firing. We can do trigger point therapy and do chiropractic massage to help reduce muscular pain.I have a sister that gets frequent migranes and ends up in the ER all the time. She takes migraine medicine with limited relief. She swears by getting a cervical adjustment and she says it helps her about 70% of the time.My daughter has 100% “true migraines” with auras, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, difficulty standing and other issues. She has cerebral palsy and due to some malformations in the brain, she is unfortunately prone to frequent migranes. She takes 3 different migrane medicines depending on the symptomology, nausea medication and occasionally a mild pain medicine. I frequently massage her neck, put ice on the top and base of her skull, and adjust her if she's able to be adjusted. It relieves some of her pain about 45% of the time.So I guess my point is get checked out by a neurologist, check your hormones at a endocrinologist and have your allergies and immune system tested at the immunologist. Then adjust your sleep, exercise, diet, alcohol intake, and take your prescribed medications as directed by your M.D. If the migranes continue with little to no relief or if you just want to try chiropractic, then do exactly that.Chiropractic will never cure a “true migraine” but it can certainly alleviate some of the side effects. That is all the lifestyle changes and medications really do anyways, they try to alleviate the side affects. Plus taking too much migraine medication, too frequently can cause rebound migranes which can be terrible. When you think about it, my family gets between 45-70% alleviation of secondary symptoms from migranes, which is a pretty good outcome. Plus it's a heck of a lot cheaper than going to a urgent care center or ER.So other chiropractors may not agree with my opinion and analysis but that is their right. If you are having migranes definitely see a neurologist for sure, to get a proper neurological diagnosis. Then you can follow up with a chiropractor and see how well it works for you. Just make sure you call ahead to see if the chiropractor will adjust you depending on your symptoms. It may help to bring documention from the neurologist that you are having a “true migrane” or whatever type of headache you are diagnosed with. Finally chiropractic is an awesome form of treatment for many other types of headaches. It is very effective and time & cost affordable for most headaches that are not In fact “true migranes”.I hope I answered your question in a way a lay person would understand. It is the advice I'd give to a family member. Just remember in order to effectively treat your headaches, you first need to find the origin of your problem.Good Luck, God Bless and always follow up with your own doctor.

CocoDoc is intuitive and this is a very key characteristic of a good software product. It is also very simple to use by everyone. We simply upload our document, mark out the parts of the document where we require our partners and customers to append their signature ,and send it to them. Immediately the intended recipient opens or signs the document ,we get an instantaneous notification.Very simple and effective process. Also ,it makes a lot of sense financial wise and its probably the cheapest e-signing tool out there in terms of monthly billing. While still offering a similar quality level as close substitutes like Docusign and Hellosign.
