If this ratio does not improve, we will be looking at the worst Real Madrid season in terms of goals scored since 2008–09 season.This steep decline is the reason why Real Madrid is sinking this season. They were never a defensive side. This season their strengths got diminished.The team always makes the impossible possible with flashes of individual brilliance. Ronaldo’s 103th minute header in the Copa Del Rey Final in 2011; Bale’s stunning goal in the final of the 2014 edition; and Ramos’s header in the 94th minute of UCL final are prime examples that underline this aspect. That is what makes Real Madrid REAL MADRID, no complaints here.Managers like Mourinho and Ancelotti have built systems around several key superstars, taking full advantage of their talents.Then entered Zidane. His entry seems to have inspired and ignited every individual in the team to have a goal scoring system of their own. Marcelo would samba on the left flank taking on multiple defenders. Carvajal would race through the right flank like a knight on his favorite stallion. Isco and James would come off the bench and score goals with flair like that of regular starters. Add Ramos’s last minute headers, Modric’s press resistant runs and Casemiro’s long range shots to this list. It was a carnival of sorts.This season, all of these key players witnessed a severe dip in form. I have nothing more to add.While I believe such loss of form is temporary in sport, there is another irreversible and sad aspect that we need to realize and accept - the inevitable decline of an aging Ronaldo.For years, Ronaldo has pulled this team with his talents. He is the reason Real was able to give Barcelona a run for their money. He covered many deficiencies the team might have had. I believe his decline started 2 seasons ago. Interestingly, last season the team has done to Ronaldo what Ronaldo has been doing to them always. The form of all the other players, which we discussed above, has masked the aging process of Ronaldo. (What Ronaldo has done towards the end of the season is out of this planet and is an entirely different topic, but my point is that these efforts of his would not have been sufficient for the team to win a double if not for the splendid run the team had till then).He is no longer the runner he once was. Last season his finishing and decision making were fantastic. But this season they are abysmal. It pains to see him suffer so much to even attempt a shot in front of the goal. It pains to see him get outrun by aging defenders (I felt similar pain watching Sachin Tendulkar suffer facing average bowlers towards the twilight of his career). Two years ago, out of frustration, I wrote an immature and insensitive answer about how and why Real should let go of Ronaldo. But now I say with heavy heart and respect for my favorite star that it is indeed time to think beyond Ronaldo. He can be a part of the team, but the club should have an answer to what next.(What worries me even more, literally, is that it is not easy to find an engine like Ronaldo).A lot of pundits and fans blame the sales of Morata/James and the transfer policy for Real’s current problems. I totally disagree with such criticism. No team can have the liberty of benching 3 names out of Bale, Morata, James and Isco when the world cup is around the corner. Players are bound to leave under such conditions. (But could we have kept at least Mariano Diaz around? I am afraid the answer is a yes. This suggests two things - Either Zidane made an arrogant miscalculation that BBC will be available and be in form all season OR the club felt they are close to make a huge signing).As fas as transfer policy is concerned, I believe we should be patient with it. While all big clubs are breaking their banks signing superstars, it is refreshing to see Madrid invest in young prospects. Asensio, Cabellos and Vallejo are the set of names we might be hearing a lot about in the future.

Undoubtedly Greg Chappell..!!!Dada has already revealed that former Indian Coach Greg Chappell had spoiled his cricketing career.Chappell's entry into Indian national team as a Coach was quite unusually. A fact is that, when he applied for the post of Coach in the year 2005 along with Mohinder Amarnath, Dav Whatmore, Tom moody and Desmond Haynes, Ganguly suggested chappell's name twice while the other members of the team were not consulted on the issue. During the last Australian tour before his appointment, media celebrated the incident that Ganguly consulted Chappell for batting tips while playing in the Australian soil.During the tournament against Pakisthan in the early 2005 , Ganguly was suspended for 4 match for the over rate breach. Later in the Indian oil cup against srilanka , he axed VVS Lakshman and introduced Venugopal rao which was a batting disaster though.He was reinstated as the captain of Indian team during the Zimbabwe series and his bad form was questioned by the coach many times. Before the first test Chappell told to Ganguly that if he get a chance to pick the team he would have pick some other players ahead of Ganguly and this made him angry and he wanted to left the tour.Many ruomers emerged that during the series he had allegedly faked an injury and he accused team members because they forced him to resign as captain.!!!This was only a rumour !!Greg Chappell contended that the mutual respect between the captain and him was gone and also told that he was only trying to motivate him to concentrate on his batting.The E-MAIL controversy.!!After this incident , Chappell secretly sent an email to the BCCI that Ganguly is mentally and physically unfit to lead the team., His negative attitude will destroy the teams development for the upcoming world cup, ie, 2007. He also noticed that the captain had lost his trust and respect to the team mates. This email was leaked and became a controversy.After this incident, his place in the team was in a hanging bridge. He had been dropped several times and also included in some matches. His fans became violent and started showing protest by displaying Anti Chappell slogans and posters.After 2007 Worldcup.The World cup was a disastrous one as India knocked out in the group stage by defeat against bangladesh and srilanka. Only victory against Barmuda was an relief for the team. Protest out breaked in India and Greg Chappell resigned his position immediately. He had to face heavy criticism and public anger .Aftermath, Gangulys career slowly steadied into track. He made handsome batting records in that year. He became second highest runs scorer in test cricket after Jack Kallis. Unfortunately he retired from his cricketing career in 2008.Later in 2014, Sachin tendulkar criticed Chappell on his autobiography, 'playing it my way' that he was a ring master who imposed his ideas on players without consider their emotions , whether they are comfortable or not . His arguments in his book was supported by Zaheer khan, Harbhajan Singh, Virendar Sehwag and VVS Lakshman.It can be undoubtedly say that a 'control freak' like Greg Chappell had spoiled the career of a great player like Dada. He mentally tortured the players through his foolish reforms. If he hadn't been appointed as the coach , things would have been different. As Congress and JDS will call it, Mr. Opportunist becoming the CM of Karnataka is one of the most secular way to keep communal forces like BJP out of power.It’s not secularism. It’s sheer opportunism.Congress, they wanted to stay in power at any cost. They had lost countless number of states after 2014 Loksabha Election. They didn’t want BJP to make an entry to South via Karnataka. They did whatever they could, offered CM chair to Mr. Opportunist whose party lost deposits in 155 seats out of 222 seats they contested, to a person they used to call B team of BJP in election campaigns.Irony died a million times.JDS, Janta Dal Secular. Mr. Opportunist kept abusing Congress while campaigning. He kept whining that both Congress and BJP are the same, they both are corrupt, they both will destroy Karnataka if came to power and hence vote for him only. And here he is, licking the boot of Congress.HD Kumaraswamy is so opportunistic that he would have sided with even BJP had they offered him the CM post. He sold his conscience in order to grab the CM chair.Bhartiya Janta Party, they won 104 seats, fell short of just 7 seats to form the government. They had governor of their choice. They got a time period of 15 days to buy 7 MLAs of Congress and JDS but Supreme Court poured cold water on BJP plans. Next day, one of the most corrupted CM of Karnataka resigned because he couldn’t buy the conscience of 7 MLAs within 24 hours, well he wasn’t an Engineer!Mr. Opportunist has the CM chair, Congress has the numbers, a minor dispute and any party can pull the plug in order to dissolve the cabinet. HD Kumaraswamy leads an unstable government, majority of the important decisions/bills will struggle in assembly floor. Karnataka will suffer. And people will understand the importance of a stable government.HD Kumaraswamy as CM of Karnataka has made electorate of Karnataka irrelevant.Those who voted for BJP are seeing them in opposition despite having the largest number of seats.Those who voted for Congress are seeing them as a minnow supporting the candidate of a party with 38 MLAs and gifting them CM chair.Those who voted for JDS are seeing them with a party they hated, Congress.Even EVMs were not tampered this time, I really don’t know why!Death of democracy. End of story. Or the definition of democracy has been changed.
