What is there to like? His scintillating wit? His warm, welcoming persona? His supreme competence as a politician? His well-reasoned arguments? His glorious past, full of brave deeds to benefit the constituents he serves?None of the above, really. He’s a wooden puppet of a man, spouting tired, evangelical catch phrases, with a history of backing any horse that signs his paycheck. Plus, he’s completely loyal to one of the most corrupt, incompetent scoundrels in the history of US politics - and that’s saying a mouthful.

This is a signature page:The sketchiest contract I was ever forced to sign what was the Little Rock School District’s teachers’ contract. I hesitate to name the district, because I suspect this isn’t uncommon, BUT:I was handed a signature page, like the one above. And no contract. At the top of the page it said something along the lines of “I agree to be bound by the contract that the union has so selflessly negotiated on my behalf.” Again, we were told we were not allowed to see it unless we joined the union. Multiple teachers told me they were threatened every year not to show the contract to anyone, including the teachers who were bound by it.Why did I sign it? Because they gave it to us 3/4 of the way through the year! It was a retroactive contract! I had two kids and a pregnant wife. We had sacrificed to work in education, had chosen to live in squalor for the greater good, and so needed the paycheck. Plus I had hundreds of students counting on me.I was told that I had to pledge to obey the contract, but couldn’t know what was in there. It had all my rights and responsibilities in it. But I couldn’t see it, nor could any of the signatures that preceded mine. The fact that I was hired at the significant level of those with a master's who had been principals before, yet was only offered $40,000—that was supposedly explained in there. The reason why that $40,000 manifested as a net income of $18,000 was in there. The reason my room had no decorations, no computer, no phone, 325 students, and fewer than 20 textbooks—all would be revealed—just not to me because I didn’t join the mob.That’s right, I said it. I’ve bought used cars, leased cars, homes, worked in corporate law, even bought a timeshare, and I’ve never dealt with a contract-situation as icky as the teachers’ union contract. If someone ever hands you a signature page with no contract, I hope a migraine-inducing klaxon alarm goes off in your head and red flags drop from the ceiling.

They even changed the definition of the word “cut” - in government terms, a cut isn’t actually a cut, it’s a decrease in the amount of the expected increase.Think of it this way. Say you work for me, and every year you get a 5% raise. But this year, I decide to only give you a 4% raise.Congress would call that a 20% cut. It’s ridiculous.While everyone is focused on what the President is doing, no one is paying attention to Clowngress. We keep electing the same losers with the same empty promises and nothing changes.
