PDF Editor FAQ

Can I get multiple Google Voice numbers to one phone?

As others have stated, you can’t link a physical phone number to more than one google voice number…..However, if you’ve created two google accounts with two separate google voice numbers, you can get them to both work (for calls and texts) on the same mobile device using the Google Voice + Hangouts App.On the first google voice number, link your cell phone physical number. Then in Google Voice, activate Hangouts. Once you’ve signed up for the second GV number (skipping the phone linking), be sure that it is still setup to forward to “Google Talk”. (You will need to switch over to the Legacy Google Voice interface to see this in Settings). When you log into the Hangouts application on your phone, go to the settings for the specific account(s) and in the Google Voice section, turn on “Incoming Phone calls” and “Incoming Messages”.I’ve done this with two separate gmail accounts and corresponding google voice numbers and now have a single mobile phone that can be reached with 3 separate numbers (1 carrier provided, and 2 google voice).Note: This was on an Android device. I’m not sure Google Voice/Hangouts will work the same on an iPhone.

Which email account Google engineers deem more secure than Gmail, as Google requires recovery mail, and I can't daisy chain multiple Gmail accounts?

If you control a domain you can easily create an account there, verify it, delete it, and rely on the authenticator app and/or SMS authentications for backup authentication. Not to mention the 15 backup codes you can print out.You may be making it more likely that you’ll lock yourself out of your account, but you can always recreate the email account at need.If nothing else, you’re going to frustrate the heck out of anyone trying to hack the email account used as backup authentication, especially if you use a domain registrar (like Hover.com) that also supports two-factor SMS authentication (which you can send to your Google Voice account, creating a Catch-22 for anyone trying to hax0r your Google account, as they can’t recreate the backup account without first hacking your Google account). For added protection, you can get a hardware token to protect your Google account (and others that support the protocol) such as the HyperFIDO token from Hypersecu Information Systems, Inc. This can be used in addition to all of the security mechanisms discussed above. I use one, and find it pretty handy - I wouldn’t use Google’s cloud services without it (I own multiple Chromebooks, and like to easily share data across them. The token is also asked for each time I login to a new or reformatted Chromebook).Hope this helps!Edit: After reading the comment, a FIDO token will pretty much authenticate you as a valid user anywhere in the world. So will SMS - and you can have Google Voice forward to a third-party number, so I’m fairly sure a service like Voiceably would work in this respect.

What are you banned from? Why?

I was banned from Lyft. When the service first reached a city in Michigan they had a special promo: Unlimited number of rides FREE (up to a $25 value) for two weeks. It also covered the driver's tip as long as it was under $25. I didn't have a vehicle so I signed up and started using the service daily, instead of riding the bus. I took Lyft to school, work, grocery shopping, etc. My rides were never outside of the city so I always had money leftover to give the drivers a decently large tip.Anyway, during one of my rides, the Lyft driver told me he heard about how you can continue riding for free once your two weeks using the promo expired. He told me to create a Google Voice account, and use that phone number to sign-up again. So I did. I rode for free for another two weeks. Then I created a second Google Voice number (Cost $10 but was not even comparable to the money I was saving). Then I did this once more. In all, I rode for about two months straight free of any charges. One fine day, I made the mistake of telling one of my Lyft drivers that I was using a Google Voice number and still riding using the promo. He was still getting paid, and I was tipping about $7 per ride (for a 15 minute drive) so I guess I assumed he wouldn't rat me out to the company. Very stupid of me to open my mouth. The next day, I went to request a ride and my account had been suspended due to violating the Terms of Service. I tried a few times with different cards but was unable to sign in again. But I had a good run.Fortunately, after a couple months, with a new card on file, I was able to access the service again. (Must have been a temporary ban?)I rode frequently for about a year straight and paid for every ride legitimately. The driver's tips were a little smaller though. At one time I had added up the amount of money I saved (scammed?) by using the Google Voice numbers, but now I cannot recall. It was a good chunk of change.

No more document printing / scanning and sending via email, I simply upload my documents to CocoDoc for digital signature. I save a lot of time. Some business partners were reluctant to sign documents because of the hassle, now they have no excuse not to sign anymore :)
