This answer might not really explain how India is viewed outside India, but it will show the view of Hindu gods outside India.Recently, my institute (IPF, Dresden) bought an SAXS (Small Angle X-ray Scattering) machine. For those who don't know what an SAXS is, it is a characterisation tool used for the determination of the microscale or nanoscale structure of particle systems in terms of such parameters as averaged particle sizes, shapes, distribution, and surface-to-volume ratio. This SAXS was called a Ganesha SAXS.Ganesha was very familiar name to me and so I thought that it could've been an Indian company that made it. At the same time, I was doubtful if India had grown enough to produce an SAXS machine.In the meantime, the technician/scientist from that company came to give instructions on how to use the machine and its software. I expected some Indians, but one Danish scientist explained everything about the machine.At the end of instruction session, I asked her if they were an Indian company or if they were founded by an NRI (Non-Resident Indian). She told me, it is a Danish company. Then I told her that the name Ganesha is a typical Indian name. She replied, "Yeah, Ganesha is a Hindu god with an elephant-like face, so we named this machine Ganesha because it looks like elephant."Then she told me that Danish people heard a lot about Hindu culture and gods.This clearly says that Hinduism is popular and is seen positively outside India.

Due to the fact that he was only a boy at the time, he didn’t do much, instead leaving the important matters of state to three regents. These were his uncle, Prince Kiril, a General, Nikola Mihov, and the Prime Minister, Bogdan Filov. Of course Bulgaria, like Romania, sided with the Axis during the war, so when the Soviets arrived they executed Simeon’s regents and forced him into exile.Simeon Saxe-Coberg-GothaThe second is the Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, who was elected the Dalai Lama in 1937, recognised as such in 1939, and enthroned in 1940.
