Tagore primarily worked with two subjects – first, the human being, the being and the becoming of that human being, and second, Nature, in all her myriad forms and colours, and of the relationship between the human being and Nature and how Nature affects the behaviour and the expressions of human beings. I can tell you what I bought for myself for home use. It’s dated however, and doesn’t have much in the way of contemporary new music. My version is some 20–30 years old (hey, I’m an older guy).Anyway, what I have at home for personal praise and worship is The Hymnal, for Worship and Celebration, published by Word Music out of Waco, Tx.Contemporary Reader: 9783010050364: Amazon.com: BooksI chose that one because it wasn’t specific to a denomination.Obviously there may be better ones at a good bulk price from a Christian publishing house - or not.Perhaps this one, although to be clear, I’m not familiar with many of the new contemporary favorites:Worship Together Modern Hymnal - Choir/Praise Team BookThis one offers a bulk discount (although the other ones would likely happily offer you a bulk discount as well - you’d have to ask):Praise and Worship - Hymnal, MaroonYou would want to ask specifically for a list of hymns to see if they have the ones you’re most interested in.You might get a book of hymns such as I have, then have published a list of those songs that your church is particularly fond of, say in a spiral bound publication. I would imagine a local printing company would be happy to give you a fair quote on a bulk order for your church. That might be the best option for you, since it’s unlikely you’ll find in one hymnal all your particular favorites plus the older, classic hymns.I realize budget matters. If you’re already using an older hymnal, I’d start with the spiral bound book printed/published locally, then upgrade to a more formal hymnal as budget allows.Thanks for the A2A.

I am not trying to be flippant when I say this, but I don't know and I don't care.The Psalms are the worship hymnal of Judaism and, through Christ, of Christianity. There may be occasions that provide inspiration for a Psalm, just like contemporary music, but the Psalm itself is not about the event but is written for use of the congregation to praise God as they go about their own lives.This particular Psalm points to the Exile in Babylon (see the Book of Danial and the books of the major prophets) as an example of the events in life that can draw one away from life in God. The Edomites were also a people who constantly harangued Israel. They are given as examples because every Jew (and Christian) should understand the immensity of the personal and national pain these events caused. This helps put ones personal issues into perspective and challenges one to remain faithful even in what seems like dire circumstances.
