Short answer- YES.Long answer - Whatever happens, happens for the good.It's a complicated yet important belief.Let me illustrate a few things that went wrong.Kindergarten : During Bhangra rehearsal for Annual day, I made a wrong dance step, only to be noticed by the teacher and was put at second position from the first as punishment.After 10th: Took up a course on medical coaching in dilemma. I could not bear the terms and soon switched to another centre that prepared us for engineering entrances.During 11th: Lost a phone.After 12th: Missed IIT. Got into NIT as I was determined to take up mechanical engineering. During slot booking, I made a blunder and froze NIT Durgapur as my final preference, while I could have got into a better NIT easily.During Engineering: Got an opportunity to sit for an interview for an internship at CERN, Geneva. Messed up terribly with form filling and lost my chance to visit Europe.Placement: Rejected by ITC, TATA Motors, Metaliks, ZS.CAT 2015: Offer from IIM Indore, but declined it to join HPCL.CAT 2016: Appeared casually and couldn't get through a good college.Now, all the above cases were extremely important mistakes/decisions at that point of time.To be pushed behind in a dance in childhood.To worry whether I have made the right decision to choose engineering.The loss of the opportunity to get into a better college, a glamorous intern abroad.To not like a job that I chose instead of an IIM and to fail clearing the same in the next year.What always worked in all of these?All that happens, happens for good.Hope is what you get when you believe that. And hope makes you strong enough to know that something better is on its way and you just have to remember not to repeat the mistakes again.And when you evolve with that learning, something good does happen. Because you have taken every hurdle as a stepping stone. The things that occurred in the overall picture, contributed in shaping you, though they did hurt at the real moment.In Kindergarten, I realised the meaning of being alert.I'm happy today being an engineering graduate. Suits me more. I hate memorising.I learnt how to keep my belongings safe and to always return things to a person who has lost it, unlike people on our streets.I could perform well at my college, met a few people I feel I was destined to meet.I learnt the importance of documents and professionalism after the blunder in internship forms and went for an internship which helped me get an offer from Maruti Suzuki.I received another offer, better than those which had rejected me. An offer equivalent to a mechanical graduate from an IIT.I managed to make money, got two years of valuable experience at HPCL, which was instrumental in helping me secure admission at a B-School miles better than the one I had declined.Everything lined up to a good result! As of now.It's all about how you perceive things. Whatever happens, happens because of your effort or mistakes or the combined effect of everything around you. Pick yourself up, absorb what you can and run again. Things will be good ultimately. Because you are good!
