How do I fill the OMR of the NEET? How did you fill it?

The most important aspect to be kept in mind while filling your OMR sheet is Accuracy. To be accurate, you ought to have a lot of concentration and focus.First I would like to state some “Don'ts" while filling an OMR sheet:Never fill the bubble just after answering each question : This process wastes a lot of your time and results in loss of concentration in your exam bcoz you will first solve a question on question paper , then you will take your OMR ,fill the bubble, again return to the question paper and so on…Don't fill the bubbles in a row WITHOUT checking the question no. : Many students see the questions in question paper in a row while bubbling…which often leads to filling of options in wrong bubbles…for eg.you realise your mistake after you have done 10-20 wrong bubbles. So one must first check question number then option number and then fill the bubble. Many a times the examiner tricks you with options. For eg. There's a question: What is the net resistance( in ohm) of the given circuit ? Options are: (1). 2 (2).3 (3). 4 (4). 1 ………..suppose the correct answer is 3 ohm…but it is option (2). So you have to bubble (2) in your OMR but in a hurry many students make a mistake …. So be careful with this one .Never fill the whole OMR at last. It takes around atleast 18–22 minutes to fill 180 questions in an OMR (wrt NEET).This process also leads to loss of concentration when you are done with half of the OMR and it also leads to pain in your wrist and fingers._________________________________________So the Best Strategy to fill an OMR with minimum error is to fill it “Subjectwise". After you are done with one subject ,take your OMR fill the bubbles of tht subject and then move on to another subject. To be most accurate, after finishing each subject while filling ,don't directly bubble the option. Instead , put a “Dot" (.) in the correct bubble…so first put dots altogether in tht subject…so tht if by mistake even if you were going to fill in the wrong bubble…you will only put a dot…and at tht very moment you can fill the correct bubble as the dot is not considered by the OMR scanner. Eg: You completed Chemistry first starting from Question no. 46 to 90 and you realised in question no. 70 mistakenly you have put a dot on option (1) which is wrong. You immediately put dot on correct option(according to you) Option (3) 👇Now immediately Circle Option 3 (the correct option)And Voila! You saved yourself from getting -1 .So the process goes like this :1). Solve the questions of a particular Subject.2).Put dots (instead of bubbling) in the respective bubbles.3). Now bubble the dots.4).Move to next subject. Repeat the steps mentioned above and get your OMR completed .This might seem to be a lengthy process…but it isn't. Trust me. Give it a try and you will realise the difference. I hv reached to these results after filling more than 300 OMRs.Advantages of this Method :▪︎More Accuracy,Less Errors▪︎Less Time consumed▪︎Less Chaos Better Output ✌😁All the Best :)Upvote guys if this was helpful. :)😃

What is something about probability that most people don't understand?

* * * * *Get Ready Folks — For a Head-Shaking Earthquake. This is not an easy thing to describe, because I am going to ask each and every one of you to stare into a blindspot that we all share. I expect that fully 90% of all readers will finish the piece saying “So what?” or “Who cares?”— But not everybody is *alive* to the undercurrents of our Universe. —The other 10% will be deeply concerned…And the 1% who really do understand this issue, will laugh and ponder — and forever change the way they ~glide~ through the world. So enough preamble…In order for this to work, I need you to stop reading for a moment and go and get a coin and a piece of paper & a pen/pencil.This should be a real coin of any denomination. Look at your coin. Check that it’s a normal coin. Even if there isn’t a head on one side, let’s just use that common terminology (heads & tails) to refer to the two sides. Put the coin down on the piece of paper in front of you.Now I want to ask you a question and I want you to write the answer down on the paper in front of you. “What is the probability that when I throw the coin, spinning in the air, across the room so that it hits a wall and bounces around, that it lands heads-up?” I’m expecting you to write a number here, between 0 and 1 inclusive — and I want you to CIRCLE this answer.Everyone still reading this should now be looking at a coin in front of them and the number 1/2 (or 0.5) written on a piece of paper, with a circle around it.If that’s not you — please stop reading now.Ok, now for the fun part. I want you to actually throw the coin through the air across the room so that it spins around in the air, bounces off a wall and lands someplace where you cannot see it. If your room is small, simply throw it over your shoulder (so long as you don’t look). Now I will ask you a second question and I want you to write the answer down on the paper beside the other answer. “What is the probability that the coin I threw, spinning in the air, across the room so that it hit a wall and bounced around, has landed heads-up?” I’m expecting you to write a number here, between 0 and 1 inclusive — and I want you to put a SQUARE around this answer. These aren’t trick questions. And I still don’t want you to look at the coin. Just look at the numbers in front of you and ignore the coin.If you are a normal person, both numbers are the same. However, one of these numbers is wrong. And I’ll bet that that comes as a surprise to you.The reason the number in the square is wrong is that the coin is either heads-up or it is heads-down. It is most definitely not in some magical superposition of states. The correct answer to the second question is: “The probability of the coin being heads-up is either 0 or 1.”Now you still haven’t looked at the coin, so let me ask you a third question, and I want you to put the answer inside a TRIANGLE. “What is your certainty that the coin is heads-up?”OK, the third question is about the state of your mind and the answer (before you look) really is 0.5. The second question, however, was not about your mind — it was about the coin.Hmmm….It looks like we, as mere human beings, are prone to confusing questions about objects (objectivity) with questions about our own minds (subjectivity). The first two questions were objective, the third subjective. And this isn’t even a quantum system. But why then did the first two questions have different answers? Once again, another common human confusion — we are failing to distinguish linguistically (but also philosophically) between the propensity of a coin to land heads-up half-the-time (this is an “objective permanent property” of the coin) with the probability of a coin to actually do so when thrown (which is “an objective transient property” of “the event of you actually throwing it”).So, let’s see now —The propensity (to land heads-up) is 0.5. —OBJECTIVEThe probability (before the throw) is 0.5. —OBJECTIVEThe probability (after the throw) is 0 or 1. —OBJECTIVEYour certainty (before you look) is 0.5. —SUBJECTIVEIn summary, propensity is the new word here. It is simply a physical property of the coin, no less than shape, weight, or nickle-content. Previously, we tended to use the word probability as a catch-all for the set of words: {propensity, probability, probability, and (un)certainty} — but now we know how to distinguish these mentally and how to communicate more-precisely which we mean. Now go shuffle a standard deck of playing-cards and place it in front of you. I want you to wrangle with the following question: “What is the probability that the Ace-of-Spades is the top card on the deck?”If you find it impossible to say, “0 or 1” — then welcome to the human race. But that *is* the correct answer. And yet we live our lives (and play poker) as though the probability were 1/52.Imagine that!!If we can get so confused by trivial classical systems, imagine how tough it must be to have any clue about what’s going on in quantum mechanical many-particle systems. Early physicists got *all* confused… and so today our textbooks are just jammed with Copenhagen mumbo-jumbo.As for Schroedinger’s Cat — it is either alive or dead. Until we look, we simply don’t know which. Tragically, we do not have the mathematics (nor the understanding)[1]to adequately describe the physics of wavefunction collapse. The failure to distinguish with 100% crystal clarity between subject and object continues to be the source of very much confusion — both in quantum physics and in our daily lives.— Do you really, truly, separate your ego from your ideas?? —For more information along these lines, please read Karl Popper’s:“Objective Knowledge: An Evolutionary Approach”“The Open Universe — An Argument for Indeterminism”“Quantum Theory and the Schism in Physics”PS: If you’re like me at all, you’ll just now be realizing that you haven’t even glanced at the coin yet. — In fact, it’s very stylish if you don’t.Now, just to doodle your noodle — “How do you even know it’s still there?” — Don't look!!PPS: Joe Dodd asks “How were the circle, square, and triangle relevant?”Great Question! — So, why do you suppose it was important to even write the numbers down? Surely anybody capable of following this answer can hold 3 or 4 simple numbers in his/her head.Writing things down allows us to treat ideas as though they were objects. Unfortunately, very few people, in the line of fire, can work with their own ideas (as objects) without attaching their ego (subjectivity) to the ideas. The geometric shapes are a bit of physical poetry, highlighting the above distinction.PPPS: Mark David (of the 90%) objects that my entire piece is really just semantics. My answer to him is as follows —Thanks Mark, Your case is articulately stated, but not correct.Imagine that you and I are the last autumn hikers on the 7day west-coast trail of XXX. Winter is upon us. On day 6, when almost all our food is gone, we come to a precarious bridge. Do we risk crossing -OR- do we suffer a 6day return hike in the cold with almost no food??Both of us sit down and agree to each come to his own decision. You sit there and ask yourself, “Do I trust this bridge?”I sit there and ask myself, “What is the probability of the bridge collapsing under my weight?”The difference between our situation (and our probabilities of survival) is that I am seeking a good answer to a tough question about the bridge, whereas you are asking a question about your own emotional state.Ours is the difference between (A) clearly distinguishing between object and subject, on the one hand, and (B) failing to do so on the other. At least I have a chance of learning something objective about the bridge. If that seems to you like semantics — so be it..Footnotes[1] w.w. Lenzo's answer to Does any physicist truly understand wave function collapse?

How did you clear all 6 prelims while even the toppers have failed to qualify in their previous prelims?

Thank you for A2A. Yes , I am one of the few who has cleared all 6 prelims back to back. With God’s grace I was able to score more than even toppers multiple times in prelims( I say this with all humility) as the questioner has put here . Here my intention is not to compare myself to anyone, but to help future aspirants to clear Prelims as I have seen many aspirants failing to clear it .2017 was my last attempt.See for yourselfI think there are few solid reasons for my prelims success. These are following:My background : From childhood I used to prepared for various exams and cleared most of them like Regional Olympiads,NTSE, quizes, IIT,AIEE,CAT ( 98+ percentile) . So I love exams and I love preparing and competition. It's my second nature. I love MCQs. I am good at them.Preparation strategy : For first two attempts I mastered static books . In 2011 there are less of online stuff. So I never wasted my time following stupid websites who fool aspirants. I had the time to master static books : NCERTS , laxmikant, spectrum,TMH, etc. My foundation became very strong . In coaching where I was teaching polity , students used to be surprised that even I long back stopped reading history I remember every page of spectrum history better than serious aspirants who were attempting exam. This is because once you do it properly ,you will never forget for life.I read newspaper every day: It was my bread and butter. Now a days many online websites have come who claim to replace newspaper from aspirants schedule by current affairs magazines and daily updates. But actually aspirants are more hurt than helped by such online stuff. Be cautious in using them .The stuff many a times is substandard as it is hurriedly prepared. We all the know things which are hurried gets buried. Be patient .My quote is if you hurry, you will worry and then eventually get buried. My mock Test:In my first two attempts I didn’t solve any mocks or solved very few( exactly don’t remember) . I focused more on mastering these books. I cleared my first two Prelims smoothly without mocks. So I can say this that taking mocks are hyped by Coaching institutes particularly online websites to make money . No body stresses on building conceptual clarity. Always testing can come only after product is developed . I was surprised to see when I started teaching few people who guide IAS aspirant force students to take mocks from day 1 of preparation .This is suicidal as it may hit the confidence of aspirant. After you are well prepared purchase mocks from market and practice them to assess your preparation . To know how to plan tests with strategy you can get in touch with me.Stage 3 : ActionMy Prelims taking strategy:I used to solve the paper in three rounds( at least two recommended for all of you ).In the first round , mark only when you are confident about the answer. I mean that there should be no doubt in mind. Tick the question in the question paper.During first round skip questions which you think has confusing statements and option. Don't waste time on them .Eliminate statements which you can in the first round and cross them . Circle such questions which you are able to eliminate few statements. In first round you should be able to mark around 50 -60 questions. At least 5–10 mistakes would happen . So around 80–90 marks are in your kitty. Then start the second round .Go to those questions which you have circled and have been able to eliminate few options in first round.Take calculated risk if you are able to eliminate 2 options in second reading. At the end if second round you would be able to solve more 20- 25 questions. At least 10 - 12 will be correct . So you have around 30 marks.Total after two rounds 110- 120.If you have time just read those questions which you are unable to eliminate any options in first round . If in this reading you are able to eliminate any option. You can take risk but don't take in factual questions like art and culture and science.Never mark question before reading all options. Don’t be in a hurry. Be like tailor -He takes measurement two times but cuts once .Likewise read question twice if confused before marking .Be careful of words like - all, none ,any , no ( radical words)example CSE 2012Recently, there has been a concern over the short supply of a group of elements called ‘rare earth metals’. Why?China, which is the largest producer of these elements, has imposed some restrictions on their export.Other than China, Australia, Canada and Chile, these elements are not found in any country.Rare earth metals are essential for the manufacture of various kinds of electronic items and there is a growing demand for these elements.Which of the statements given above is/are correct?[A]1 Only[B]2 & 3 Only[C]1 & 3Only [D]1,2 & 3Ans OptioncIn the areas covered under the Panchayat (Extension to the Scheduled Areas) Act, 1996, what is the role/power of Gram Sabha?(2012)Gram Sabha has the power to prevent alienation of land in the Scheduled Areas.Gram Sabha has the ownership of minor forest produce.Recommendation of Gram Sabha is required for granting prospecting licence or mining lease for any mineral in the Scheduled Areas.Which of the statements given above is/are correct?(a) 1 only(b) 1 and 2 only(c) 2 and 3 only(d) 1, 2 and 3Ans :bIn place of any it should be minorWith reference to consumers’ rights/ privileges under the provisions of law in India, which of the following statements is/arc correct?1. If an aspirant was following newspaper that year , there was a news that barren island volcano had recently erupted few months before exam. If you had read that news. If an aspirant had read that news , he could have directly eliminated statement 3 . Thus only one option remains i.e aAns : aCSE 2017Consider the following statements :The nation-wide ‘Soil Health Card Scheme’ aims at1. expanding the cultivable area under irrigation.2. enabling the banks to assess the quantum of loans to be granted to farmers on the basis of soil quality.3. checking the overuse of fertilizers in farmlands.Which of the above statements is/are correct?(a) 1 and 2 only(b) 3 only(c) 2 and 3 only(d) 1, 2 and 3How to apply Santosh Sir’s Elimination TechniqueIn such pattern , you can observe 2 is there in all options. So first try to eliminate 2 . Every aspirant who had followed newspaper can tell that it has nothing to do with loans.Such statements are unrelated statements which UPSC paper setter uses to confuse non serious candidates. Once we eliminate option 2 . We have the answer which is b.ANS: BCSE 2017With reference to river Teesta, consider the following statements:1. CocoDocs is an easy online platform that allows you to create forms for any event. I particularly love how there are many features on the website. There are plenty of templates that one can use, depending on what your needs are. For example, if you have a business and want to track your customers feedback, you can choose the "Customer Satisfaction Survey" template and it would populate all the things you can edit on the form. Another cool feature that I like is that you can integrate it with Google Forms which allows you to populate all the responses from the survey into one sheet. The best part is that Google Forms auto-saves these responses, and also tracks any changes that were made. There are other platforms that you can also integrate it with, such as Zoom and Slack, which are great sharing platforms as well.
