Late one evening…. bang bang on the door, two uniformed police. We were dog-sitting that night, our very friendly grand-dog Rocky (a Rotty). Rocky was not so friendly looking when hearing the bangs at the front door. I bear tackle the dog who was going insane. Told my wife to get the door. They asked for me. ???? I was able to move the dog into the bathroom. Then I go to the door, very apprehensively. My oldest son is an RCMP mountie, that walk to the door for me seemed to take forever.Then the police officer said. “Do you drive a…” ( I don’t recall the actual model). At that point, it was like a weight lifted, because it couldn’t be serious or my first bad thought. I started to smile and told him “no, this is my car” Pointing at my car, a different model.The Officer still stern-looking and says “What about your other car?”I said, “I don’t own another car”The second Officer says “is this 32 Clearview Drive?”I said “No, its 32 Shoreview Drive, Clearview is the next street up” All three of us started to laugh, they apologized and were on their way. The Rottweiler was still freaking out in the bathroom. The story ends well.

We have 95,000 active soldiers, and 51,000 in reserve.All you Americans are going to scoff at these stats, but we don’t spend $600 billion of our hard earned money towards military.A message from the Government of Canada.
