We’ve had a hearing with your associate on this for the last 40 minutes before you were so kind as to grace us with your company. Now you’re late and you are arguing with me over matters already decided. I’m continuing the trial because a client should not have to suffer for a lawyer’s bad behavior, but I’m sanctioning you $500.00.”Lawyer: “I don’t feel like that would be fair.”Judge: “I really don’t care what you feel would be fair. You haven’t been on this earth long enough to tell me how to run my courtroom.”Lawyer: “Look, I want to make sure the record is clear on this.
