Thus, I would honestly consider coming, marrying on the B-2, and honeymooning abroad with the partial purpose of obtaining the H-4 at the U.S. Embassy in the place you honeymoon. It would overall be safer and faster.Good luck and seriously DO NOT LIE.A couple other side notes:a) You cannot change status if you enter VWP/ESTA/WHTI.b) It would be fraud to enter the U.S. on a B-2 visa, while married to an H-1B visa holder, with the intent of changing status to H-4. The reason that is fraud is because your intent is to stay here as an H-4 with your spouse, which is not the visa category you are entering under. In that case, you will want to obtain the H-4 visa at the Embassy. In contrast, your question assumes you currently have B-2 status and are not married to the H-1B, which means your intent is to first marry, which then leads to the desire to convert to H-4. The intent to convert to H-4 cannot be fully assumed in that case, because you may be stood up at the alter (it happens, a lot).
