Q:Do I need an MBA to become a GIS manager? What is the scope of a GIS manager in India?IMHO, I don’t think having an MBA is the sole requirement to become a GIS Manager. It may come in handy to develop some intricate management side, but GIS manager is not only a full time management side, but mostly technical.Generally GIS manager’s JD would be managing the GIS based projects and its datasets, developing the algorithms, helping out the teams to achieve the GIS outputs and complete the project in a right time, etc.So, Having an MBA acts as an extra or added qualification or advantage, but not the sole requirement.Regarding the scope of GIS managers in India. Generally one person have to be atleast 8 or more years of relevant experience in the Geospatial projects to get a GIS manager post. The GIS managers in a decent GIS based company earn handsome pay, some where around 80K to 1.2Lacs per month. Since the GIS field is relatively new, GIS managers with 8+ years of experience are generally most sought out positions in the Geospatial domain in India.Cheers :)

Apologies for the mistake) in this entire world whose Constitutions have protections written into them to protect the People’s right to bear arms.America.The Czech Republic.Mexico.Of those three, only America and the Czech Republic are relevant, as the feds in Mexico have castrated their Constitution and effectively made it so that their Constitution isn’t even worth the paper it’s written on.The Czech Republic and the US have similar attitudes on gun ownership, though Czech is a tad more regulated than the US, they are in some ways less strict than many US states and less strict than even the US. In some ways they are more strict.For instance, the Czech Republic has concealed carry, their concealed carry permits are shall issue and they’re valid on every square inch of Czech soil.The US federal government is not involved in the permitting process, so you could have a state like Vermont that doesn’t even issue concealed carry permits (their state IDs are considered their concealed carry permit), have the youngest minimum age to concealed carry (16 without parent’s permission, if you get the okay from your parents you can carry even younger then that, though, if my reading of their laws is correct). Or you can get states like New Jersey or Hawaii, which although they may technically have a concealed carry permitting system set up, in practice they will never allow anyone except law enforcement to do so absent SCOTUS forcing them to go to shall-issue (which is one of the reasons DC didn’t push the court case that forced them to go shall-issue. Their anti-gun buddies in places like NYC, NJ and Hawaii were terrified that if it was taken to SCOTUS, the tyrannies they had built would be torn down by the Supreme Court.).So why have patriots so fanatically defended their rights to bear arms?Because we have looked at history and we don’t like what we see.What sane person wants the State to hold the monopoly on violence? You can have all the laws you want criminalizing corruption and abuse by the government, but they don’t mean jack-fucking-shit when the only people with the effective means to distill violence are the jack-booted thugs those laws are criminalizing.If I put up a sign that says: “No guns allowed” on the window to my store front and someone open carries into my store and I tell him to leave because I don’t allow firearms in my store and he refuses to leave, who do I call to have him removed?The 50 year old office lady down the street?No.I call the guys that work for the state who carry guns to remove the person with the gun.Funny how that works, isn’t it? The people who remove the people who have guns also have guns.And it works in reverse as well.Let’s say Officer Jingleheimer Schmidt up there is a crony for the corrupt Sheriff Arsewipe and is using his gear to subjugate the people.Election day comes up and everyone in the area wants the corrupt sheriff and his cronies out of office. So we all vote for the competition.But then Officer Jingleheimer Schmidt and his fellow cronies bust into the polls with weapons drawn and confiscate the ballot boxes. “They’ll be counted at the jail to ensure accuracy” is the line he gives us.Bullshit! No one with even a single working brain cell believes him. They’re taking the ballots to the jail so they can claim Arsewipe won the election and we won’t see the results.So one of us begins fighting with him and blocking the way. Officer Schmidt draws his sidearm and shoots the brave man who blocked the door and continues out with the ballot box.The State has refused to help us, the state police say it’s not their problem and local police are the ones who are doing the crimes. They’ve shot one of our people.So what can we do?A.) We live with it.B.) We arm ourselves, launch an assault against the jail, reclaim the ballots and oust the sheriff.We choose B. We arm ourselves, assault the jail, run the sheriff out of town, the local police surrender and we reclaim the town for ourselves.And I know what you’re thinking.“Oh! But Garrett! This is just a fantasy you’re making up, this nev-”Let me stop you right there!Battle of Athens (1946) - WikipediaThe Battle of Athens, or as some people call it, the McMinn County War. The local government was ousted by citizens of Athens and Etowah Tennessee. For years, they accused the local government of police brutality, voter intimidation, corruption, predatory policing.When McMinn GIs were returning from the Second World War, they were being targeted and harrassed by local police who were trying to steal the money they received from their discharge.This set these men off. They had just fought their way through two tyrannies and then they return to their own damned homes only to find themselves in another tyranny!So they banded together, creating their own political group to run against the sheriff in the election.And it was very clear who would win. The former sheriff, Cantrell, was not popular with anyone except the cronies he gave power to. The man running for sheriff, Bill White, against the current sheriff, Mansfield, formed a posse to oppose any voter intimidation from Mansfield.Mansfield also beefed up his deputy ranks, hiring 200 deputies from out of county at $50 a day (Which would be a whopping $627 in 2017).This all came to a head when on election day. A GI poll watcher requested a ballot box be opened before voting began in order to ensure it was empty. By law, his request was legal, but deputies arrested him. Another man in Etowah protested irregularities in the voting and was arrested and charged with a federal offense.Another officer refused an elderly black man, Tom Gillespie, from voting. A GI poll watcher opposed the action and the officer struck Gillespie with brass knuckles. In response, Gillespie dropped his ballot and attempted to run away, prompting the deputy to draw his service weapon and shoot him in the back.The GIs telegraphed Governor McCord and the US Attorney General requesting aid in order to ensure a lawful and fair election.They received no response.As they were waiting to see if they would get a response, they learned that Sheriff Mansfield had ordered the polling station closed and also kidnapped two poll watchers.The two poll watchers managed to escape and ran to the safety of the crowd, resulting in officers opening fire on the crowd.Realizing they had been abandoned by both the state government and the federal government, a man had been shot in the back and two of their people had been kidnapped, and then the crowd had been fired upon by corrupt police, the citizens snapped.That was the final straw.The crowd retreated to a garage where they had stored their arms. Two deputies were sent to arrest the two poll watchers who had been kidnapped by police, though the crowd was having none of it and disarmed and detained the deputies, as well as five more who were sent as back-up. They were taken into the woods, stripped, bound to trees and beaten (though not killed).Sheriff Mansfield and his deputies had stolen the ballot box and taken it back to the jail.Bill White (the man who was running against Mansfield for Sheriff) ordered his posse to raid the nearby national guard armory. The GIs in his posse armed themselves and then began their march to the jail.Still, though, the GIs had broken the law, as though Mansfield was corrupt, he was recognized by the state of Tennessee as the legitimate sheriff of McMinn County. So though the GIs would not be receiving aid, the corrupt Mansfield would. So they had no time to waste. They had to take the jail, or Mansfield would receive state-backed reinforcements in the morning.The GIs had seen combat, the deputies had not, and thus were able to better set up their assault on the jail. Taking up positions in the bank across the street, and any police attempt to fire on ground troops from the jail would be met with gunfire from an elevated position.Mansfield and Cantrell made up the majority of the voting commission, and as such could certify the election from the jail (This is an example of checks and balances failing. Who the fuck lets the people being voted on do this?).The GIs approached the jail and demanded the three ballot boxes the deputies had stolen. Someone opened fire (no one is entirely sure who fired the shot), and thus began the Battle for Athens. The GIs opened fire on the jail.Time was not on the side for the GIs. They had to take the jail before morning, or they were looking at hefty prison sentences for violating local, state and federal laws. And rumors of national guard and state trooper reinforcements began spreading, resulting in the GIs utilizing dynamite in order to take the jail.Some deputies who escaped out the back door of the jail threw down their weapons and ran, the GIs holding their fire. One of the deputies phoned Birch Biggs, the boss of the neighboring Polk county, requesting reinforcements. Biggs responded with: “Do you think I’m crazy?”Before they began their attacks with dynamite, an ambulance sped up to the jail. The GIs, under the assumption that it was there to render aid to the wounded deputies, held their fire. Two people, Cantrell and Sheriff Mansfield, jumped in and ran away to safety out of the town (Those injured deputies didn’t receive actual medical aid until after the battle had ended.).Around 3:30 AM, the GIs managed to breach the jail with dynamite and the deputies inside who had not managed to flee surrendered to the citizens.In the end, the votes came out in favor of the GI administration.This is why the US is so fanatical about our right to bear arms. No one would help these people. Everyone they tried to go to either ignored them or shrugged them off. But because the state didn’t hold a monopoly on violence, they were able to oust them.

One who plans to do Higher education or get a good job would take the internship seriously. Because he unless finishes his project couldn't add it to his resume or use gis manager as reference. The other side of this is he might not put extra effort to find better alternatives/improvise . I don't think they spread rumours and degrade the company's brand value because they'll informed in advance that its unpaid and its a learning platform for them. If the manager is smart enough he can get the work done before the deadlines.
