So I think a strong friendship is a very important attribute to a serious relationship in general…but for this ENFP, even more so. I mean wow - I dream of being able to one day say that my significant other is my best friend. But…Do ENFP women generally want a solid friendship foundation before progressing into a serious relationship? (I added emphasis on the “before”)So I think this can be tricky to generalize - but for me, this is true…well, or at least to have signs that we could have the makings of a strong friendship.Maybe it's because I am sapiosexual and cannot truly be attracted to someone unless I feel they have real knowledge and depth (and how would you asses that unless you knew them well)…. Or maybe it's my love of shenanigans and my desire to have a partner in crime, how I long to have someone that I can laugh with and tease and who teases me gently back (and knows and respects my limits of how much teasing I can take before my feelings get hurt). Maybe it's my inate need to have someone who I can share inside jokes with, or how much I crave to have someone who I can really open up to and tell my deepest and darkest fears and secrets…and not be judged, but rather loved even more for.Maybe it's because I am so understanding. Because I listen as you recount your messy backstory. Maybe it's because I will summon every ounce of empathy in my being and see the real you through all that mess; and love you even more because of it. Your story draws me to you because that made you who you are today. Don't get me wrong - my increased love and adoration for you does not come out of duty, or indebtedness, or pity! My heart swells for you because I respect you even more for your story, as well as for the courage you have shown me when you opened up and shared a little bit of your soul with me.This is what I would categorize as unconditional love. I don't think anyone can openly feel these feelings without having a solid relationship with that person. Otherwise I would feel uncomfortable and not be able to share my true feelings with them. Outside a strong friendship I would be too paralyzed over fear of rejection to fully express myself.I have never understood the “friend zone” thing. For me, that's my current dating pool. 😅 Those who become my intimate friends are candidates for more…but if the feelings are not mutual on his part, then it's easy for me to tone my feelings down. This is because for anyone to get that close to me, where I can open up and share pieces of my soul with them, I always would rather choose to keep them as a friend over risk losing the relationship all together.And honestly, having these deep platonic friendships is more fulfilling to me than having a shallow relationship with someone I know could never truly become my best friend. So yeah, I need a solid friendship before I could progress to committing to a serious friendship. I live for that. I know that takes time to build…but when I think back to anyone who left my life because they weren't patient enough or willing to put in the effort to do so…well, maybe they weren't worth my time anyhow.

I was born and raised in the USA. I have been able to spend a large amount of time in eastern Asia, and I have also been able to visit many countries in western Asia and Europe.1. I understand that the world is far different from the world I grew up in, and that while we may all be base animals, we certainly don't all think the same way.2. Every country puts self-interest first. I need ____ so I'll say _____.But actions speak much louder than words. Despite what they say, they will often do whatever they need to do to get what they really want.3.4. Humanity has shown an inate ability to adapt and overcome when it needs to. This may not be fixable, but we can adapt.5. We need to end fossil fuels NOW, and figure out a way to do everything with environmental energy (sun, waves, wind, etc.).When Elon Musk got on Steven Colbert's show and said we'll have trips to space in two years, and commercial space transportation shortly after, it was proof that with the right minds in place, shit can get done.

Humans are inately pragmatic, as we are evolved from a long line creatures that not only were able to survive, but do it well enough to make copies.Believing in a religion is a pragmatic choice, but because we can't know the perfect choice, we don't always get it right. Over time we will keep choosing the most pragmatic options available to us, and religion was part of that process, but maybe it's coming to an end.The rise in the belief in the natural world and the disbelief in the supernatural world is an expression of our innate pragmetism. Even the origins of the words “natural” and “supernatural” arose from the need to identify those aspects of human knowledge that were practical from those that were not.And of course the ability to share this information with new humans increases the speed at which new humans choose to reject the supernatural. As technologies for information distribution get more efficient, it will cause more humans to reject the supernatural at greater levels.And we should be proud of this achievement because isn't what we all want a better future where Humanity thrives for billions of years? Isn't it an amazing adventure to discover how to survive for billions of years? Exploring the possibilities of the supernatural is a very important part of that history, but it is okay that is becoming history.
