Being an alumni myself, I think I'm quite qualified for writing a review for this college.Well, I was admitted to this college in the year 2012 when the college was already going through a transition from an autonomous to ‘deemed to be' status. Ours was the second batch to fall under this category.During the first year itself I witnessed the protest by the final year students that the college was loosing it's recognition as they were facing problems filling the forms for PG exams and couldn't locate their university in the list. Speculations were hovering around that the degrees offered were invalid and being 1st year student that frightend me to the core.However, the college belongs to the now home minister to karnataka Mr. G Parmeshwara and a swift action was therefore expected to be taken . This eventually led to meetings of the administrators and thereby ensured us to come up for a solution asap. It was only after few months that we were told that the college now falls under Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher education, a newly set up board that held many other constituent colleges including the ssit. However it could still not match up to its earlier standards when it was affiliated to VTU and was counted among top 15 colleges of karnataka.On the brighter side, the college had a lovely yet enormous lush green campus, two hostels for boys (one only for the first year and other for the rest) , a girls’ hostel, two playgrounds (separately for the freshers and the rest) a basketball court, a badminton court and a gymnasium. The athelets reading this can take a note.Not to forget the beautiful library. Only the second in Asia to have a geo-something kind of shape. (look for it yourself -.-) something a lot of people have fallen for and not to mention it makes a good selfie spot.The list also includes a canteen with some good food and warm gestured employees (p.s. I owe them some money) .
