Hubby used to work with garden machinery and one of the products was an automatic lawn mower. At a training day the guy in charge added that they were quite good at solving crimes as well as mowing lawns.Earlier that year a hotel had purchased a top spec one to mow there front lawn. No problem until it got stolen. The police and manufacturer were called to report the crime. Now onboard this lawn mower was a GPS tracker.Every time it stopped it would log and broadcast it’s location. Unfortunately for them they nicked it before going on a bit of a spree. So it tracked them round ~6 different businesses/homes they stole from and then told the police where all the stolen goods were.Apparently they’d been watching the gang for a while but couldn’t prove that they were responsible.Thieves caught by lawn mower!

Initially, Ted Talks were amazing videos that you’d watch. Each one was more profound than the next.But somewhere along the way, they started letting anyone in and those videos started to get watered down.Rather than learning a new vision for life. I was hearing a guy talk about how his lawn mower taught him to love again. It was getting really ridiculous.But - alas - I know a trick to help you find amazing Ted Talks.When you search YouTube, do not just type, “Ted Talk”.Type, “Ted Talk -Tedx”It will filter out Tedx’s which are open to just about anyone and tend to have a lot of watered-down presentations (in addition to some great ones).In other news, I was flirting with the idea of doing a Tedx talk :) Perhaps I could string together an interesting 10 minutes about Quora.

Here's kind of a twist on this story. Many years ago, my uncle and I were installing carpet and got sent to do a repair. The saleswoman tells us that the homeowner is the kicker for the Indianapolis Colts. We get to the house, and the wife lets us in. We need a piece of carpet to do the repair, and we tell her we'll call the shop and they'll let her know when it's in. She starts screaming at us about her party that night, our shoddy work (we didn't do the install) and how WE have to do something. Calls us filthy names, the whole works. She says she's calling her husband, and for us to wait for him.We go out to the van and sit in the back waiting. I'm not going to kid you, we were a little nervous. After getting called everything under the sun by the wife, now her husband the frickin' pro football player is coming. Great. It's maybe 9:30 on a Saturday, and we hear the sound of engines coming towards us. Multiple engines. Slowly. Suddenly, about six or seven riding lawn mowers come around the corner. One of them has the biggest dude you've ever seen driving it, and it's pulling a trailer full of ice and beer. They pull up in the driveway and shut down. Mr. Huge hops off and smiles. “Hey, guys! What's goin' on? You wanna beer? What's up with that carpet? Looks like the seam pulled apart. You're probably gonna need to order more, huh?” The nicest guy you would ever want to meet, along with his posse of millionaire buds cruising the lawn mowers, staying away from the wives, and drinking beers. A little side note: Those kickers look tiny out on the field. That's because they are surrounded by dinosaurs. This guy looked ridiculous on that riding mower — like he was on a kid’s toy.
