My Info Just Changed: Fill & Download for Free

High school seniors in many Jewish schools in New York had to do a major thesis to graduate. So a relation of mine in a different school once asked to borrow my thesis.Now, my thesis was 80 pages of awesome. My dad and I had just read GE CEO Jack Welch’s autobiography and I wrote to the company, getting lots of nice info. (All fluff but fluff makes good papers)So my lazy and horrible student of a relation asked if he could base his paper on mine. I know he had a history of plagiarism so I sent it to him in a Word file, but put on a page in the 30s a message.This paper was written by Elke Weiss, at X school.I figured if he read the paper and removed it, it would be enough.He didn’t.He just changed the name and handed it in.I imagine the teacher was…quite shocked.

Years ago, when I was still living in Houston, I had been working very very late (like 3AM late) on a project on the west side of town and was headed to meet some friends for pie at the incomparable House of Pies on Kirby Drive. I was taking Westpark, as it was virtually traffic-free at any time of day, versus Westheimer which while more direct was much more populated.I was driving a white Porsche 911 - it doesn't say "hey, wanna race?" or anything like that. Just a plain, vanilla, dead stock looking 911. I pulled up to one traffic light, behind a Houston Police Department cruiser.The light changed, the cruiser took off, I followed. I don't know what the speed limit for that stretch of the street was, but for most of it, it was 40MPH. Directly behind the cruiser, at a safe distance, I was doing between 45 and 50.All of a sudden, all the lights came on on the cruiser, and they accelerated hard, and did a slide-turn, blocking the road. I stopped in time to NOT hit them, and was instructed over the PA to exit my vehicle and place my hands on top of it.As soon as I did, one officer approached me and patted me down, while the other held a gun on me. They took my license, registration and insurance, ran my info and came back and gave me a ticket for a whole laundry list of crap - speeding, reckless driving, evasion, etc.Needless to say, I took it to court, provided my credentials indicating that I was an upstanding member of the community, with no prior moving violations in over a decade, and told the judge just exactly what had happened. The more I explained, the madder the judge got. He questioned the officers directly, and threw out all the tickets and ordered an official reprimand for them.I'm not sure if there's an official protocol for how you stop someone behind you, but I'm pretty sure that what they did is NOT it.
