My guess is that Donald Trump will fight as hard as he can for Los Angeles to get the games in 2024 (when he would still be president if he is reelected in 2020), and not 2028, even if it means LA ends up with neither of the two events.As I originally wrote before the IOC announced the possibility of awarding both games at once:Trump may be the reason Paris wins the 2024 bid, or at least factor into it. His administration’s negativity on immigration is likely a major turnoff globally. If Trump is reelected and serves two full terms, his administration would end on January 20, 2025.Aside from a backroom deal to award Los Angeles the 2028 games (Something the IOC is considering despite The USOC publicly stating that they will likely NOT place a bid for 2028), or the Trump presidency ends before the IOC votes in September 2017, Paris will likely get the 2024 Summer Olympics.At the end of the day, it will likely be Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028, but I can see Trump attempt to risk an all but sure thing and end up with no LA Olympics.
