It’s also a range of private sector IT security firms like Kaspersky.Look, the US faces all sorts of cyber attacks. Black hat hackers, corporations, other countries—that goes on. But what we’re talking about is a massive, widespread, concerted series of attacks to get inside a wide range of US databases and gain access to a wide range of details and information. It’s really, really bad and we still don’t know the full depth of the damage.How do we know it’s Russia? The evidence is pretty damning. It involves multiple events, multiple agencies over months of time and even multiple countries. Russia's SolarWinds Hack Is a Historic Mess and once you know what to look for, the proof is obvious: “Some of the “indicators of compromise” include IP addresses and Domain Name Service record responses associated with the attackers' malicious infrastructure.” Finally, this thing is so big—multiple countries, maybe as many as 30,000 organizations.Anyone who attempts to claim that all of this is really China. Or Iran. Or a 400 pound hacker in NJ living in their parents’ basement is either a complete idiot or a tool.

I think there are a few subtle differences in saying where you live.Using NYC as an example:1. I am from New York: This means to me you were born and/or grew up in New York.2. I live in New York: Exactly what it says on the Tin.3. I am a New Yorker. You don't have to have grown up in New York to say this, but living in New York has to be a part of your identity, influences the way you behave and you adopt the customs and habits of other New Yorkers.I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, but have lived in New Jersey for the past 15 years. I'd say I'm from Pittsburgh, but that I live in NJ and am a New Jerseyan.My wife, on the other hand, was born in the Midwest, but moved to NJ when she was 4. She has no memories of any life outside of NJ, so she'd say she is from NJ, lives in NJ and is a New Jerseyan. She may clarify she was born in another state however.

I enjoyed the Sopranos quite a bit. The characters are quite believable, even if one has to realize that there aren't quite as many murders in NJ as the show would have you believe. I don't know any criminals, so I don't know how realistic the crime was, but I know NJ and the characters resembled people I know (once you remove the violence of course).As a former resident of NJ (lived there from 1951-2004), I have enjoyed the travelogue aspect of the show. I don't know if anything else on television does such a good job of showing suburban northern NJ.
