Instructions To Candidates For Getting The official TranscriptsThe request for getting the Official Transcripts should be in the prescribed Application form (can be downloaded & used) and the request should be addressed to: Deputy Registrar (Academic-II), Pondicherry University, Puducherry. [ Application form - PDF File ]1. All the entries in the application form must be written neatly and legibly by the candidate.2. Original certificates for which transcripts required must be enclosed with the application for verification and return. Separate self addressed envelope may be attached for return of original certificates by Registered post.3. After verification, transcripts will be attested by the Registrar and sent directly to the institutions, as desired by the candidate. For this purpose duly addressed envelopes should be enclosed for affixing Registrar’s signature on the cover after sealing.4. It is the responsibility of the candidate to obtain the original certificates and transcripts from the section after due acknowledgement.5. In choosing which Subject Tests to submit, it is more useful to choose only one mathematics test rather than two. Similarly, if your first language is not English, a Subject Test in your first language may be less helpful. You should submit scores from tests taken in the past three years.While we normally require two SAT Subject Tests, you may apply without them if the cost of taking the tests represents a financial hardship or if you prefer to have your application considered without them. Basically, they are not going to send taxpayer information to anyone other than a registered agent or the person or entity itself.Certain third-party mailings stop July 1Effective July 1, 2019, the IRS will no longer provide transcripts requested on Form 4506, Form 4506-T and Form 4506T-EZ to third parties, and the forms will be amended to remove the option for mailing to a third-party. These forms are often used by lenders and others to verify income for non-tax purposes. Among the largest users are colleges and universities verifying income for financial aid purposes. Tax professionals also are large volume users.Taxpayers may continue to use these forms to obtain a copy of their tax return or obtain a copy of their tax transcripts. This change will NOT affect use of the IRS Data Retrieval Tool through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process.Third parties who use these forms for income verification have other alternatives. The IRS offers an Income Verification Express Service (IVES) which has several hundred participants, who, with proper authorization, order transcripts. Lenders or higher education institutions can either contract with existing IVES participants or become IVES participants themselves. The tax transcript is an official IRS record. Taxpayers may choose to provide transcripts to requestors instead of authorizing the third party to request these transcripts from the IRS on their behalf.Tax professionals who are attorneys, Certified Public Accountants or Enrolled Agents (i.e., Circular 230 practitioners) and do not have an e-Services account may create one and, with proper authorization from clients, can access the e-Services’ Transcript Delivery System. Unenrolled tax practitioners must have an e-File application on file and be listed as delegated users to access TDS.
