Company Membership Application: Fill & Download for Free

One of the best ways for a new angel investor to get access to companies looking for funding, as well as fellow investors who can provide additional capital and an introduction to the intricacies of angel investing, is to join a local angel investor group or network. These are professional organizations of serious angels who pool their deal flow, capital and resources. There are several hundred such groups in the US alone, with most major urban areas having at least one, and the major tech centers (like the West and East Coasts) have several.A pretty complete database of such groups, searchable by location, investment type, membership in the Angel Capital Association (the industry's trade group), and more, is online at https://gust.com/r/search/investor, and for most of the groups you can submit a membership application directly online.

There are two types of SCPD courses: graduate and professional development courses. The former are your usual classes, such as AA 279, etc., whereas the latter are intensive and condensed, ranging in time from a few hours online to a few days on campus - the sort of classes that teach you leadership, team-building skills, etc. Now, if you're an undergrad student or pre-college, the following information will be quite meaningless...Assuming that you have completed your undergrad studies, SCPD offers graduate courses for people who are currently employed. SCPD partners with a number of member companies to offer courses to their employees (see here for a complete list: Member Companies - Current Members | Stanford University Online). If you are employed at a member company, you automatically qualify for a tuition discount. If you are not currently employed at a member company, ask your Human Resources or Employee Training division to apply for membership. According to the website, your company will be notified of its membership status 2-5 business days from the time the membership application has been submitted, and you can check with them and apply for the course thereafter.On the other hand, professional development courses are less stringent and easier to apply to. I don't think you'll need any company membership like the graduate courses. I haven't had the opportunity of taking such a class before, but definitely look into it, if you're interested in professional development.Now, I know I said that if you're an undergrad or pre-college, SCPD classes will be mostly out of reach. But if you took the summer offering of classes at Stanford (not sure about the application), and if the summer offering of those classes are available on SCPD, then you should be able to take the class. But clearly, this is a roundabout route if you just want an online education.

I used to work in a call center for a major health insurance company. A guy called in to complain about a bill he received. He went to a provider who was out of network, so he had to pay more. I calmly started reading all of the information from his membership application I’d pulled up on my screen:Names, dates of birth, social security numbers, heights, and weights of him, his wife, and their kids. His employer’s name, address, and supervisor’s contact info. I also read off his mom’s name, address, and phone number since she was listed as a reference.He hung up.
