Clay (fired), concrete, AAC, calsil…A sketch of the crack showing adjacent walls and floors etc would be very useful.If it is concrete or AAC or calsil, it might be due to drying shrinkage.It could be due to footing and/or soil movement, possibly due to changes in soil moisture, or loading.If you had said it was an old clay brick building, it might have been due to brick growth.
