My daughter has always been tiny. In addition to the fact that every female on both sides of our families is under 5’6”, I also had severe hyperemesis during my pregnancy with her, resulting in a full term (actually 16 minutes before her due date) but low weight birth. She was just under 6 lbs and 18 inches at birth. But her first APGAR scores were perfect. For the first month, we had to travel to her pediatrician 40 minutes away daily for weight checks. I couldn’t breastfeed because she needed more nutrition than I was able to produce, regardless of what diet I was on. She wore premie sized clothes until she was 3 months old, despite being a full term baby.Until her 3 year well check, she wasn’t even on a growth chart. Her growth curve was normal and healthy, but she was basically in negative percentiles compared to kids her age. She’ll be in kindergarten next year, and she’s closer to the size of a 3–4 year old than a typical 5 year old. She’s catching up finally. She’s in the 15th percentile for height and 9th for weight.I’ve loved having a small child. I don’t baby her, but I do enjoy being able to lift her, carry her to bed if she falls asleep on the couch, and play with her in a more physical way that wouldn’t be possible as long as it has (I have back issues) if she wasn’t small. Her size also makes buying clothes a bit cheaper and easier. Most dresses I’ll buy in the size she’s supposed to be in for her age, and they still fit 2 years later, although some end up being short and closer to a tunic length that needs to be worn with pants rather than tights. But other than the length, the chest and arms fit. I spend a lot less on her clothes and get much more use out of each item because she doesn’t outgrow them as quickly as other kids do.There are many reasons I love having a small child, but most importantly, I just love her for who she is and the joy she’s brought into my life.4 1/2 years old: A 2T swimsuit that’s gotten 2 full summers of use:4 years old: An 18 month dress that she just outgrew. If not, take my word that Rupee is not depreciating. It is appreciating against most currencies in the world. Just that dollar is a little ahead. Don't see everything relative to Sharmaji's son.

Back in 1989, I observed with keen interest when Bill Wyman, 52, bassist for one of my favorite rock bands, The Rolling Stones, married Mandy Smith, age 18.Yeah, bit of an age gap. It gets even creepier when rumors emerged that the two had been together for 4 years. But wait; things got even weirder. The situation took an even more bizarre turn for the Wyman and Smith families when right before the divorce was final in 1993, Bill Wyman’s oldest son, Stephen, age 30, married Mandy Smith’s mother, Patsy, age 46. It’s reported the couple’s marriage lasted 2 years until their divorce in 1995.Let’s see if we can place this in perspective.
